yes.. I've heard it's the ad servers, but nobody's entirely sure. I can log in and there's still a delay, or stay logged out with adblock in use, never see the ads, delay is still there. |

actually, it has been going slow for me too, taking a while to load pages. Probably just peak times, try again in a few hours to help calm the wave down.
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music. |

Yestaking ages to load and my mouse was going crazy clicking last time i looged in here is it flowers, very much the behaviour of an infection it was on my desktop afterwards ,even after i got ofline. |

sometimes the remote gov't web screening server gets backed up and it takes a while for it to log your ID before you are redirected to the GLP forum. |

I found that opening a link in a new tab on Firefox and the GLP page loads right away. Trying to open a GLP link without opening a new tab, it's slow. |

it took me half hour to get out of the thread i was replying to so i gave up
took me another 5 hours to get back on the site after restarting my browser
i come back no new threads and now i had to wait another 3 hours just to reply to this thread

LOL, you guys are all funny!! These electromagnetic pulses have been hitting my third floor apartment in Aurora, Colorado all day and freezing up my pages and making booming sounds and shaking our building. All day long today, nonstop. I've lived here all my life, have never seen this. When the wind comes in it comes straight down like a microburst.
And my computer is doing the same thing as everyone elses. I've been trying to get back to this one post where I put one line and didn't finish.
Did they fry us?

Yeah, if I show up and the site's down, I figure it's FBI/CIA/NSA time to sift thru the posts for the nuggets. When they're done, they allow it back online and the whole routine repeats in another short while. No biggie, you tax dollars hard at work saving the country! You do understand, I hope. Terror and doom go hand in hand. |

I thought the problem was with my computer, so just toughed it out. GLP hasn't come through as normal for a week or so. I'm happy to hear that I'm not the only one. Pages don't load sometimes and I have to start over, takes a long time to load, etc. I think it might have something to do with decreased band width.
Old timers here will remember when Elaine had the board. It was really bad then. We laughed that we cleaned house, did the dishes, took a shower or did some other chore while the page loaded. No kiddin'. But some of us are still here. Can't leave GLP.

Yup! pretty much a waste of time to come here anymore. Can rarely get it to load, and if I reply on a post it kicks me off, saying "cannot connect to the server".
So, with that said, I'll see ya later as this post will kick me out again.
