Ok, I have a question. I found a tiny skull and bones emblem at the bottom of my girlfriend's crucifix on her wall. I'm familiar with crucifixes, but this crucifix has a tiny skull and bones at the base of the crucifix. I haven't asked her about it, but what does that mean? I've never seen that before. She claims to be Irish Catholic. |

This is a common motif in catholic symbolism. The Skull & bones represents Adam's skull. On a crucifix, it symbolizes Christ's victory over death and overcoming the original sin.
