Would all of America´s jobs still be going overseas if the CEO´s weren´t such greed-heads? Let´s say that average Joe Ceo get´s a bonus of a couple of mil.; how many jobs that equal?

All CEO´s are self-serving individuals and fairly scummy in my mind.

However, most Americans are just the same. People have a choice to buy only American and keep jobs here but they don´t. They whine that they cannot afford to buy only American, prices are too expensive!

So, you tell me...how is the CEO who goes to another country to get cheap labor any worse than the American who buys an imported item because it is cheap? There is no difference. The masses are as guilty as the leaders.

Let´s see. You and I are CEO´s. We both work for similar companies. Our businesses do about the same amount of busines. You make $150 a year. I outsourced to India. That allows me to pay myself $450k a year. What would you rather do?

rex, I would look at the long-term viability of my country. I buy US even though I could get more for my money if I bought imports.

But, I look at long-term and know in the end, it will destroy this country if I chose to buy imports.

You´ve all got it wrong. CEO´s have to make a profit for the share holders. In fact it´s not much different than being a regular working stiff. Sure the pay scale is a lot different and they get to do things like outsource.
But if you don´t preform your out the door.
Guess what?

Do not worry.

All corporations run on one thing

Cheap oil.

When oil gets expensive corporations will start to fail.

You will have to find a way to survive without a job.

Ceo´s will be a title of few.

fuck em, they´ll learn by their mistakes. Stupid corporations have never done anything like this before and they will learn that in the long run it is a big mistake to take jobs away from the people that make your market.

-- I too wish that people would think long term. But that is not the case. If it were politicians would not be selling us out.

“If not familiar with Rex he is pro mexican invasion and anti american to the bone. He has nothing good to say about the US except that it should fall so his mexican la familia can take over and turn it to a third world slum.”

-- I am very much pro American. That is why I write what I write. But you think that because I see a need for cheap labor that I am in favor of the US going downhill. Just because I don’t go around blaming Mexicans for everything wrong with the economy and thus, disagreeing with some Americans, it does not make me anti American.

I see the need for cheap labor in this country, you don’t.
I see the need for outsourcing, you don’t.
I understand the long term benefits of cheap labor and outsourcing, you don’t.
I see the need for the U.S. dollar to be lower than the Euro, you don’t.

Outsourcing in a very simple way is like this: Companies need to make a profit or they close. It is too damn expensive to do business in the US. So their solution is to stay in the US and outsource to stay open. Otherwise they would either close and leave more people unemployed, or move out of the country entirely.

Cheap labor makes it possible to buy certain items at prices lower than what we would normally pay if cheap labor were not available. That makes it possible for you to buy a burger at 3:00 am. If you are strapped for cash now try imagining life without these laborers. Imagine paying these laborers the minimum wage, health insurance, and workers’ comp. If you had to pay much higher prices for certain items you would be in favor of cheap labor. People don’t see that. I do. I want you to be able to eat a burger at 3:00 am. How does that make me anti American?

Rex, I would realize a damn good thing for about 5 years, then I´d realize that every customer is employed by someone and without employment there are no customers.
But I´m guessing what you´re saying is in 5 years, you´ll be rich enough to retire and won´t care what the rest eat - or not?

Won´t be many making burgers at 3 am when only you can afford to buy them. Unless you expect Wendy to keep the window staffed and open for the rich?

Do you have obsolete skills?

Are you unable to learn marketable skills?

Are you not smart enough to do something about your future?

Why can people in other countries live in relative comfort and why can’t you?

Why do you all envision a US reminiscent of a post WWII Europe?

It’s not going to happen. But I like the way you think. People like you, those who live in fear, are a great source of income for those who do not think like you. Many companies are making money from you and you don’t know it.

This can´t go on forever. If the people don´t make enough to live they will either collect free gov. handouts or steal.

“If I make 5 bucks an hour how can I afford what I produce Rex?”

It depends. What do you produce? I know many people who are able to live on minimum wage. Why can’t you?

”Maybe I´ll just steal it from you and your elitist friends, huh?”

First you have to tell me what you produce.

"This can´t go on forever. If the people don´t make enough to live they will either collect free gov. handouts or steal."

Or move, or go back to school and learn new things but many will go on. I think the problem here is that we have different life experiences. I have lived in the conditions you fear. Many people live under those conditions. You have never done it. You are afraid. And you should be afraid. The meek shall inherit the earth. The meek know how to survive in substandard and harsh conditions. You cannot imagine living on minimum wage. If I were you I would get really close to those you mock. They are the ones who will show you how to survive if your vision of a devastated US comes true.

Oh Rex, first you mock obsolete skills, then attach the importance of basic survival to them. Make up your mind.

"Why can people in other countries live in relative comfort and why can’t you?"

So are my obsolete skills an asset or a detriment? In America a minus, in Tibet a plus? What happens when everyone is slinging hash, but no one can afford to ´drive by the pick-up window´?
If my fears are fodder for tptb, they ain´t going to feed well much longer. They (tptb) can turn a trillion in a day´s trade, but they can dine on the options, I owe (and own) very little but my obsolete skills.

Re: Would all of America´s jobs still be going overseas if the CEO´s weren´t such greed-heads?
America is in for a long and hard time ahead. They have declared a global war against all threats to their national security both foreign and domestic. When American companies outsource their jobs, they are putting their incomes into the hands of foreigners. If these foreign workers do well, and the profits then flow back to the U.S, things are good, but if a global recession occurs, then the Americans will suffer from outside sources and outside circumstances. No super power can use its military might to protect against these kinds of threats, so all those billions the U.S public are spending on their security is wasted.

On one hand they are spending billions to protect the nation, but on the other they are allowing the U.S economy to be outsourced to foreign powers. In the end America will be helpless to do anything to change what is going on in their own economy, because the power to produce will belong to others and not to Americans. The American war of independence was to stop this process from ever occurring, but sadly Americans today have forgotten history, and soon they will be living the lessons the founding fathers tried so very hard to avoid.

“Oh Rex, first you mock obsolete skills, then attach the importance of basic survival to them. Make up your mind.”

I made up my mind a long time ago, but I read and notice trend. Once in a while I change my mind. Think of obsolete skills as useless. I did not attach the importance of basic survival skills to useless skills. You did. As far as basic surviving skills, that means that some people have lived through what you fear and have survived. If your wish of a collapse of the US comes true then I suggest you get really close to those who have lived in substandard conditions. They will help you make it through. Once things get better you can continue to hate them.

"Why can people in other countries live in relative comfort and why can’t you?"

”So are my obsolete skills an asset or a detriment?
Obsolete skills are a detriment wherever your skills are obsolete.

“In America a minus, in Tibet a plus?”
If you do not want to learn new skills move to Tibet.

“What happens when everyone is slinging hash, but no one can afford to ´drive by the pick-up window´?”
It depends on the specific situation. Be more specific.

”If my fears are fodder for tptb, they ain´t going to feed well much longer. They (tptb) can turn a trillion in a day´s trade, but they can dine on the options, I owe (and own) very little but my obsolete skills.”
What is the use of having all the money in the world if you cannot buy anything? As long as tptb have trillions you will always have a job.

I have a better idea. If my posts upset you don’t read them. Read only the posts that agree with your way of thinking. You will be much happier that way. You will not have the benefit of reading an opposing view but you will have all the benefits of being surrounded by people who think alike.

Edit: I am not immune to changes in the economy. My livelihood can disappear in one second. But I try to increase the odds in my favor by learning new skills. I went back to school for that reason. I hope to go back for my Master’s degree next year. All I am saying is you cannot fight the tide. It is happening. The better prepared you are for it the better off you will be. There are no guarantees in life but anything you can do to prepare yourself is usually better than doing nothing.

Life... YOUR LIFE... is ALL ABOUT GREED.

Just get sick and see how fast you will want to LIVE the game again.

You are un-consciousness to your own personal GREED.

To have a child... build a home... drive a car... eat... drink and be MERRY! ... it is ALL ABOUT PERSONAL GREED.

Self-LOVE only SHOWES YOU... to the degree that you will LOVE YOURSELF.. and be a CREATOR.

You have a screw loose when you think it is a good thing NOT to be GREEDY.

The Creator GODS... CREATE out of SELF-GREED to PROVE and EXPEREINCE it's personal creations.

The mind set you have... denotes a level of self-sacrifice that KEEPS YOU in poverty.

Only a person in POVERTY would make such a statement.

IS GOD GREEDY ... becuase it has ALLOWED BILLIONS of planents and people to create???

If you're statement was true it would be TRUE for GOD TOO....

GOD being the CEO of the UNIVERSE... SMile.

So if I follow your thought.... GOD.. the CEO if the Universes and Infinity... is greed-heads?. WOW
