Todd Bentley Revival - Any Comments on the Healing Revival Going on in Lakeland, Florida ?

Where's the proof? Surely they should have some sort of medical verification by now - how come we haven't seen any?

The only one is an x-ray of a little girl's wrist on Youtube, and they're shining a bright light behind it, which makes it really hard to see, and then in the supposed healed one, the x-ray is back to front! Ummm yeah, sure, I believe that...

I know for sure, I wouldn't let him lay hands on me.

And even if they did provide medical proof, I still don't think I'd believe it, because when I hear him laugh and scream it gives me the creeps. Reminds me of another even creepier so-called Christian I saw on Youtube - John Crowder.

Would you believe it was true if Todd called down fire from heaven?

Signs of being in the last days are all around, this supposed revival is further verification.

And, what's with them all being so fat?

I just wanted to share with you that God never minds us asking questions! Like the Bereans, it is always good to test teachers and prophets against the word of God.

We know a woman that is friends with our Pastors here in CA that was deaf. She used to live out here and moved to Florida a couple years ago. She was born with hearing and lost her hearing awhile ago in an accident. A few nights ago, we were watching TV and there she was! She was up on stage being prayed for and God restored her hearing 100%! Praise God!

Keep praying, keep seeking. God says ask for wisdom and He will give in abundance!

I find it interesting that, in conjunction with this outpouring on the Protestant Christian church, Pope Benedict XVI at least twice in his visit called for a "new Pentecost" in America:

“As we give thanks for past blessings, and look to the challenges of the future, let us implore from God the grace of a new Pentecost for the Church in America. May tongues of fire, combining burning love of God and neighbor with zeal for the spread of Christ’s Kingdom, descend on all present!”

Catholic groups have had planned (even previous to the Pope's visit) a time of prayer for a new Pentecost from the feast of the Ascension to Pentecost, May 1-May 11.

Though these two branches of Christianity have different points of view on many things, they seem united (without knowingly intending it on either part, imo) in their desire for the Holy Spirit to descend upon the church.

I believe that by this Pentecost (May 11), it is possible that Christians around the world may be saying that Joel has been fulfilled in our day.

The prophecy of Joel, or what is called the "latter day rain revival" only occurs after the destruction of the "Locust" or "The Northern Army". These are the same Locust that are released in the middle of the tribulation period from the bottomless pit. So something will have to happen that places these "Locust" into the bottomless pit first before the prophecy of Joel can be fulfilled.

It is my opinion that this is a counterfeit Revival. The counterfeit always comes before the real thing; and since the Joel prophecy is contingent of the destruction of the "Locust" who I believe are the Nephilim/ tares/ generational Satanists; then that must occur first before a genuine outpouring of the Holy Spirit can occur.

I live in Lakeland. They are finally reporting on this in the local paper (not in a big way, but at least mentioned it). They are getting big crowds! I'm intrigued. I'm a scripture-study kind of Catholic. We just did a 40 Days for Life thing here during lent (prayers for healing in front of an abortion clinic). I like to think that draws a lot of spiritual benefit toward Lakeland and the people here seeking Our Lord Jesus.

As background information, Todd Bentley is relatively new on the Christian scene and he’s young (much younger than he looks in the video), and seems to be flavour of the month in certain quarters. He is linked to Patricia King of Extreme Prophetic (who I understand helped bring him on in ministry), and so he is joined at the hip with aberrent Kansas City prophet Bob Jones, who Patricia King is influenced and mentored by. Todd Bentley is very Latter Rain influenced (Latter Rain is a heresy) and Bentley now even claims to have William Branham’s ministry angels helping him. (These angels seem to get about and often seem to be in two places at once, if we are to believe all the ministers who have encounters with Branham’s angels - an alleged encounter being a badge of honour to wear in the current movement, which opens a few doors into churches and gets a few more bottoms on pews

I pray "God have mercy" on the thousands of people who are being deceived. This is a circus. ANd by the way, I am a Spirit Filled Pentecostal who desires more of God everyday. But I'm so tired of "fleshly" manifestations.

the fact that there is so much emphasis on "angels" in these meetings/gatherings in Lakeland bothers me, especially since Todd had an encounter with a female angel named Emma, which he says is the same one that visited William Branham. I guess that is supposed to give some weight to this current "happening". Todd tells everyone to take an angel home with them. When there is worshipping of angels instead of the Savior, there is mixture, confusion, chaos, familiar spirits and false signs and wonders.

[Most believers today have a gross misconception of what is male and what is female. Most today define male and female as a having a unique set of attributes. For example females are defined as being more nurturing, gentle and sensitive then their male counterparts.


But this idea of what defines male and female is a set of attributes is not scriptural. The true scriptural definition of male "is he that provides seed" and the true definition of female "is she that receives seed".


Thus in truth, God the Father, God the Son and God the Most Holy Spirit are always MALE, as they always provide the seed and never do they receive the seed. And in truth the Church and the Bride are always female as they always receive the seed provided by God.

Now how does this all relate to angels? Remember the word angel actually means "messenger". A true angel sent from God is an extension of the authority and power of God, and in the sense that God is always, fully and completely MALE, in that He provides the SEED, His agent, His messenger, His angel is MALE.


Nowhere in scripture, that I am aware of, is there a reference to an angel appearing in a female form.


And as we move in the timeline away from the time of the New Testament Church we see more and more error piled into the teachings and understandings of believers. The idea of angels appearing in a female form was never believed, promoted or considered among the New Testament Church
and it is really only an idea that has appeared in relatively recent times.


Anytime, anywhere you see the appearance of an angel in the female form, it should be an automatic warning to raise your discernment and to be on guard for the deception and error that is usually hidden in her skirts.


Let us press on to the high calling He has called us to. For thou He slays us, yet will we serve Him. For he that will not touch God's Glory, God will use him or her to do mighty things.


Let us press on, seek time with Him, not with His perceived messengers.]

The more i read up on this and research about the people behind this latter rain movement the more worried i become.

God generally leaves room for freedom to doubt. Healing an amputee would "convince" too many. For whatever reason, God finds faith to be a virtue. Still.

Jesus said by their works you shall know them. He also told us that we would work the same sort of miracle that He did and even greater ones. But at the same time we have to watch to make sure that these are not false/miracles worked by atifice of evil spirits.

Another way to determine if these are of God or not is if the credit and glory are given to God for the miracles. Any spirits or "healers" who do not confess that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and Savior of the world is an imposter/false prophet.

We also have to test people by their message, actions and life. It's not all about whether they remember say Jesus' name. Remeber (and contemplate) Mat. 7:15-23

Since I gave my first post, I have been receiving many reports from friends in the ministry who have had personal ties with Todd Bentley; and the word is always the same...Caution!

There is so much Satanic infiltration into all churches of all denominations. When the Lord gave me the Spiritual gift of discerning of spirits, this became so apparent that I had to leave ministering in Churches forever. This broke my heart, but I could no longer pretend that the person that I was shaking their hand and partaking in communion with was my brother or sister in Christ when my spirit knew that they were Satanic infiltrators. It is in epidemic levels, and so are the "lying signs and wonders" that seem to be stemming from this infiltration.

I received word from my contacts years ago that these Satanist were training in these revival movements as infiltrators; now it seems that they have done such a good job of deception that they are now leading the people of God into the occult and subtley introducing the occult to congregations. The Lord Jesus warned us of this, and it is a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy when the Lord said; "Take heed that no man deceive you, for many (not a few but many) shall come in my name, saying I am Christ (or literally, "I am of the anointing of God"); and shall deceive many."

That was the first and most important thing that Jesus said concerning the end times...and here we are, facing it as if it was spoken Yesterday instead of 2000 years ago. We need to take heed to this word from the Lord.

I personally been a bit sceptic of Todd Bentley at first,judging his appearance,but who am I to judge.I have been watching his meetings and can see and felt the annointing even in my living room,wathching a man testify of being healed of lung cancer.God touched me while I was lying on my couch.

I've been a Spirit filled Christian for 21 years and I know what I felt was real.You have to be vigilant and watch out not to be mislead,but be careful not to judge the works of the Holy Spirit.

Well, lets put it this way. Strader is involved. I figure he is related to Carl Strader from what used to be Carpenter's Church in Lakeland. One of his sons were involve in a scheme which they targeted semi wealthy elderly retired members and swindled them of their savings. He is now in prison last I heard.That says enough for me to say
it is fucking bullshit.

I feel that we are entering an extremely delicate time. When i first saw todd i thought that his apperance was very interesting, but then i started thinking that it was a really cleaver idea of God's to use such an interesting character. However, as i have learnt more about his own ministry and ministries linked with his my spirit has been deeply troubled. Don't mistake this - i am not judging him. If it isn't real it is so convincing that it troubles me greatly. I do know one thing though: the disernement of spirits is a gift that too few have got and that is worrying.

I think a VERY IMPORTANT THING is not to miss the wood for the

trees. The Lord's heart for people is amazing. He will use a

donkey if He has to, to get a message across.


Ministers, chosen or gifted are human and can mess up. William

Branham was a big name and so is well known, but there are

scores of others.


Think of the donkey God used to talk to Baalam. If Baalam kept

thinking of the times the donkey acted like a donkey, he would

have missed God's voice and message at the time.


Let's not concentrate on the men or women who are being used.

Open your mouth and ask the Father if this is of Him. Be

sincere; not trying to justify your agenda or your favorite

pastor's teaching!


The Lord generally doesn't wait for a church sub-committee

to approve His agenda. He is GOD!

That does not make much sense. It still makes me think God must hate amputees as stated above. Also, I have never seen anyone with crooked teeth or in badly need of dental work be "healed". When they have MRI's and CT scans etc at the meetings with non affiliated doctors confirming they are healed with before and after films etc I might be interested in learning more. Until then, just another piece of shit like those mentioned above. Rodney H. Brown, Khulman or however you spell her name are deceivers. I had heard Benny shit bag Hinn was reported to have said he has gone to her grave to contact her spirit to be like her, a false prophet. All these shit bags on t.v. Copeland, Hinn, T.D. gorilla Jakes, Olsteen, Jack Van Impe, John I never saw an all you can eat buffet I could not wipe clean Hagee, Jesse Duplantis, the list goes on forever are all false prophets and scumbags who belong in jail. All of these so called christian tv networks are nothing but infomercial channels selling these shitbags books,tapes,dvd's etc etc tax free.
