The Mailman

Down in Mayberry town, the mailman sits behind the desk, feet propped doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before.
Gazing out the open window at the full bloom roses, with perfect blue sky, the beautiful willow tree dripping the beauty and purity of mother nature's environment.
The mailman shifts his gaze toward the sorting machine, wheels in his brain begin spinning. He's drunk with the high of gazing into mother nature's eyes.
He clinches his fists, stands up straight and stiff, bracing himself against pollution, the devil haunting mother nature.
He will put puff, the magic dragon pollution, into the dirt as compost.
The mailman, walks out of the post office into the street. He carries a 20 pound sledge hammer. He goes to slay the dragon of pollution, with the sledge hammer... his sling. He is David and knows it!
Mr Mailman stalks over to the post office truck. He takes the sledge hammer to both headlights up the grill, the windshield rains on the seats, up one side & down the other.
This dragon of pollution is dead. Sheriff Andy arrests Mr Mailman, for destroying the govt owned truck.
This is Mayberry town, he is allowed to pay for the truck and return to work.
This is the real world, who pays for the govt property trade-in cars, destroyed by car dealers with the “cash for klunkers sling?” The cars traded in on new cars during the "cash for klunkers" program, were destroyed. Many of these trade-in cars were perfect condition, low mileage babies of rich people who bought a new car with the cash for klunkers discount.
The trade-in cars were govt property, not the personal property of Mr President. The trade-in cars should have been auctioned off to people earning minimum wage, who can't afford to buy a new car. Charities also accept used cars which are sold to raise money.
There really was no reason or legal authority to destroy the cars.
This matter should be investigated.
