Well, maybe since the smiley face was already there they used that point to drop him in - it saved them taking the time to do a new one. So, in my mind, that shouldn't rule out the smiley face connection. |

Questions:
Where is the guy from St Charles, Missouri? Who is looking for him? The one who claimed to be the next Dahmer, who spoke of drowining men fantasies and interstate murder sprees?
Why/How was Dion killed in 2004 while that suspect was incarcerated?
What about the guy who survived in LaCrosse? Who came out of the water the next morning?
New Case: Nick Garza, Middlebury- the story they have reported about his last hours is implausible to the point of impossible. No coat, drunk, midnight storm, a freshman wanders several miles away from his dorm to a little known trail in the woods. Hell no.
Fear: The killer has moved to New England. He returned to Potsdam/Canton for 2004 and 2005 (and maybe a second in 2005 in Cornell), and this year he got one in Albany in Jan, one in Feb in Vermont (who was found last week) and one in April in Ithaca. I just see that he is back in Minnesota for May 14. Based on his patterns, I expect we won't see another till next october, but we will see a college guy dead in a river, first in the midwest, then maybe Cornell, maybe UVM, maybe Syracuse. He seems to like to return to towns he has been successful in before- North of Minneapolis, White Bear Lake, Potsdam, LaCrosse, Madison.
Thought: The outlier is the July death in Milwaukee. I think he was just there for some other reason and chance happened upon him.
Thought: White Bear Lake is not a college town like the others, is it? I imagine the killer spent time there as a kid or vacationed there from Minneapolis as an adult, or like you say, has a work connection. How do we get Trane service call records?
We're looking for a man here, this guy fits the mold. A single white midwestern loner who is gay and pissed about it.
Is the FBi and PD really incompetent or are they protecting their investigation?? |

I read in one of the posts that there are only two months of the year with no killings - July & August. Most of the killings are done on or near a quarter moon and there's three more of those before July. Killer(s) may strike again before October.
It appears that most of the killings done on quarter moon or within 1 day of it but some have been 2 days before or after a quarter moon. But if a person is last seen 2 days before a quarter moon it doesn't mean they are killed that day. Since most are out drinking it is likely they are killed after midnight which would put the actual killing within a day of quarter moon.
I wonder if the killer(s) is(are) excited about all the publicity and the game getting hotter and may want to "play" more often. |

I think there's more of a chance that they do then do not.

And we know one of them was in prison at the time of one of the deaths and that it's more than one killer since two deaths were at the same time but miles apart. Just a few days after Nick Garza was found, the local paper announced "Mystery Solved"! The Chief of the Middlebury police, Thomas Hanley, had the mystery solved in his head before the investigation even started. He decided that Nick was a drunk college kid who met with accidental death on a winter night. And he either ignored of failed to pursue any evidence that might suggest anything else.
Is he just an incompetent egomaniac? Is he hiding something? Is he protecting someone?
A lot of people are upset about this "conclusion" to Nick's case and we're trying to keep the story alive. So many pieces don't fit Chief Hanley's scenario.
Nick hated the cold, really hated it. He was from New Mexico and not accustomed to Vermont winters. So what was he doing meandering outside so far from shelter with no coat on?
If he went into the water with his cell phone, why did the phone continue to transmit until 6AM the following morning?
Why did Nick's companion that night, the last person to see him alive, have a chipped tooth the next day? Why wasn't this kid considered a suspect? Why wasn't he polygraphed or hypnotized?
Unfortunately the autopsy revealed very little because Nick was in the water so long. No bone fractures or other signs of trauma to the skeleton were noted, anyway. Toxicology reports are expected back in 4-5 weeks, I think. |

Did anyone see the t.v. movie on the other night called "The Green River Killings" (forgot exact title) - killings in Washington state over period of nineteen years? Think it was on Lifetime t.v.
Not related to these but what struck me is the dedication of the detective all those years and he finally found the killer. It affected the guy's whole life. It made me think of the two retired detectives and what they are feeling and the frustration they are going through. |
