I deleted the blog because after doing a statisical analysis there is nothing but very weak circumstantial evidence for much of what was on the site. For one thing Lincoln is a fairly common street name.It is odd how often the name comes up,but there is nothing that stands out on a case by case basis of the drownings that make it that significant. You would expect to see common names repeat themselves. It is a little strange how certain names repeat themselves in locations relatively close together and within a fairly short time frame, but unless there is something about some of the invdividual cases that makes them stand out it is probably nothing more than a coincidence.
It is odd how Albert Campbell was at the same numer addrees as another possible victim, but the bar Albert went to was only a block away,so that was probably the only reason he chose to go to that specific bar.The other similarities to another case that occured the next year are also odd, because a Ft Campbell soldier with the 101st was a victim. One victim was reported to called for a taxi no one could ever identify and one never made it home even though he only lived only a block away.It is strange, but Campbell is a very common name.Campbell is one of the 50 most common names.

hi, ok but you should keep a blog going, you never know how useful it could be-i have done a critique of the pathetic investigation of the death of Wade Steffy, the evidence for the ability of a perp to have covered up foul play in that case is enormous.

Key questions, partial answers in Wade Steffey's death
By SOPHIA VORAVONG
svoravong@journalandcourier.com
Four weeks after the body of missing Purdue University freshman Wade Steffey was found in Owen Hall, questions remain. Here's a summary of what officials say they know about the case, and what remains to be found out:
Question: Is there any new information to explain why Steffey went into a high-voltage utility room at Owen Hall, and how he got in?
Answer:Officials believe Steffey tried several doors to get inside Owen Hall, the dorm where he had left his coat prior to attending a fraternity party.
At the time of Steffey's disappearance, the outside door to the high-voltage utility room or vault was not marked with a high-voltage warning sign. The door, which is supposed to automatically lock when closed, was found unlocked when Steffey's body was discovered March 19. The locks were sent to get tested.
Q: Why wasn't the utility room thoroughly searched before the day Steffey's body was found?
A: University spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg has said that someone did check the room from the interior door but did not go further into the room because doing so would have meant that power would have to be shut off at Owen.
Officials at that time had no reason to think that Steffey might have gained access to the room. His body apparently was not visible from either entrance, and the room was dark.
This past week, lawyers for Steffey's parents said they walked into the utility room without the power being turned off.
Q: What tests were done on the door lock?
A: As part of the death investigation, Purdue sent the door lock to an outside agency to see whether it had been tampered with or was faulty.
Purdue is not commenting on whether the tests results have been returned. The Journal & Courier on April 4 asked for copies of the test results when available. As of Friday, the university had not produced them.
Q: What are the results of the toxicology report?
A: The Tippecanoe County coroner's office asked for a toxicology report when Steffey's autopsy was done.
Coroner Donna Avolt said Thursday that results can take several weeks and that she does not yet have those results.
Scott Montross, an attorney representing Steffey's parents, Dale Steffey and Dawn Adams, said his clients are not expecting to receive any information from the toxicology report "that would be negative with regard to Wade."
Q: Why do authorities believe there was no foul play involved?
A: The coroner's office ruled that Steffey stumbled on some cables in the electrical vault and was accidentally electrocuted.
Avolt said there's nothing to indicate otherwise, explaining that the autopsy and pattern marks on the body can help indicate how someone died.
Q: When was the last time the utility room door lock was checked?
A: On March 28, the Journal & Courier submitted a request under Indiana's Access to Public Records Act for the vault's maintenance logs. Purdue's public records officer, Lucia Anderson, this past week said the information was still being compiled. As of Friday, no records had been produced.
Q: What's the latest on Purdue's internal investigation?
A: Purdue officials are not commenting on the investigation, which is being overseen by Morgan Olsen, Purdue's executive vice president and treasurer. Olsen did not return a telephone message left at his office seeking comment.
Norberg said a full report will be made available once the inquiry is done. Rimkus Consulting Group Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in accident reconstruction, recently was hired to assist Purdue in its probe.
Q: What about the shoe found outside the utility room door? Why wasn't it reported by police until after the body was found?
A: Steffey's shoe, described as a plaid-lined brown moccasin, was found Jan. 23 by a maintenance employee after he drained the door well outside the utility room.
In an e-mail to Norberg from Purdue Police Chief Gary Evans, Evans said several clothing items, including shoes, were collected during the search -- but no one had said that Steffey wore slippers the night he disappeared.
"The slipper was not considered material to the case at that time," Evans wrote. Officials learned it was Steffey's shoe when the matching shoe was found with his body.
Q: Will a lawsuit be filed, and if so, when?
A: Montross said the family is considering filing a claim against Purdue. He is hoping the parties can reach some type of agreement before a suit is filed.
Montross did not have a timeline because any legal action will depend in part on results of the university's investigation.
O fcourse, seeing as the door was found unlocked and then Waynes' body was found in the elecrtic room, it is quite possible that he was taken there after the fact, months after infact.
And the door purposely left open for someone to discover his body there and so presume he was electrocuted.
If not we have to presume the open door to the electric room was unoticed all that time, since the night he aledgedly entired the room.
Also it seems very odd he would have entered a room for generators when trying to access the college dorms.

Q: What about the shoe found outside the utility room door? Why wasn't it reported by police until after the body was found?
A: Steffey's shoe, described as a plaid-lined brown moccasin, was found Jan. 23 by a maintenance employee after he drained the door well outside the utility room.
Last seen: 1/13/07, 12:00 am, Phi Kappa Theta fraternity house (900 David Ross Road), believed to have been seen again at 12:30 outside Owen Hall (1160 West Stadium Avenue).
Recovered: 4/19/07, Owen Hall utility room
Cause of death: accidental electrocution
7 days for the killers to keep him.
he went missing 13 of jan , slipper was found outside the electric utility room 23rd jan thats 7 days of investigation with all the polic there searching for him, they knew where he was last seen, right near the door to the place he was found 3 months later thay had seven days of not seeing the shoe that was lay there for all to see?
that is some shoddy investigation isnt it?
or perhaps they and the all the people who were searching for him and the police etc could not see that slipper because it was not there until maybe six days oir even the full seven.
what other pexplanation is there for them failing to recover the slipper that was on the college property sitting in the door well, so the slipper was that heavy it sunk into the shallow water of the door well?
must have been a heavy slipper and a deep door well.

obviously it is 10 days the perps had to keep him and return him to the college, i do not know why i wrote 7.

Also it is not certain that his body was in the utility room after 10 days since he went missing. We can only be certain that the slipper9mocasson) was found in the door well to the utility room 10 days after he was last seen.
For the slipper to be not noticed while a complete forensic style missing persons search is underway is unberlievbale.
The story of its discovery is framed in the press in a way that makes the reader suppose it was in some way hidden because of water in the door well which was drianed by the caretaker on the day he found the slipper.
This assumption to my mind is a mistake on the part of the press and police- ( they seem to dismiss the mistake as trivual)a quicker discovery of Wade could have led to ressusitation for instance),it is an unforgivable mistake especially when a possible major crime has been committed which is always a reasonable assumption is the case of a missing person.
Therefore it is not reasonable to assume that a small amount of water is sufficient an excuse for that slipper to be not found ealier by the police search team, it is gross incompetence and negligence.
After all what would a slipper do in a samll door well that has water in it? do you like me suspect it wont just easily sink, and even if it did , surely a police search is usually thorough enough to check such things.
And even when ten days had passed and the soggy slipper had been found, the police did not even consider it worthwhile collecting it and showing it to the family in the hope they could verify if it may have belonged to Wade.
So ten days and the slipper was found and ignored. Then it took four months for the body of wade to be found behind the door the slipper was found outside of, four months that wade's body may or may not have been behind that door, four months that wade wmay have lay electrocuted because of walking ( i presume with one bear foot) on cables that sureluy should not be a hazard to the touch? what about safety? what about insulation of live wires etcetc?
I do not think that wade would leave his slipper off his foot, if he could navigate a fildley cell phone i am sure he had the presence of mind to feel uncomfatable without one slipper, i find it unberlievable that everyone thinks it is usual for someone to just lose a item of footwear and not bother about it, no matter how drunk someone may or not be, it is not a right assumption and does not make sense.
When was the slipper placed in the door well?
nobody knows they only presume.
when did wade end up on the floor of the utility room electrocuted?|
nobody knows
they just presume.
And those careless presumptions could be (and i suspect they are), the perfect cover for his murderer.

Re: The smiley face killer-is he a technician with Trane?
Also it is reported by press and the police, that Wade made 2 cell phone calls to friends of his who were inside the building he was locked outside of.
He stood outside the building and rang two people who were inside.
WHY (IF) he wanted to gain entry to the halls did he not ask THEM to LET HIM IN.
DID HE? it is not reported that he did,why would he bother ringing them without saying he could not get inside? , when it is said he needed to get into the building and could NOT It is obvious if they his friends were resident and inside they surely had the freedom to go OUTSIDE AND LET HIM IN.
It seems the most obvious point, and has not been raised in any of the coverage i have seen of the circumstances that surrounded his disapearence .

Re: The smiley face killer-is he a technician with Trane?
EDWARD LANPHEAR is the smiley face killer or at least one of them, he liked to kidnapp young men from bars and keep them captive in his basement! Does anyone know where he worked? I know he lived in Wisconsin. Two guys got away. Did he take some of these smiley face victims, sexually assault them then put them in the water where evidence would wash away? Did drug test ever come back from the drowning victims with the date rape drug in their system? Maybe edward is connected to other sickos via internet so theres a gang or club doing this like the detectives think! Any other infor?

Re: The smiley face killer-is he a technician with Trane?
After allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a 23-year-old man over the Fourth of July weekend, Ed Lanphear returned to work at a paper mill on the following Monday, leaving the 23-year-old a captive in Lanphear's rural home, according to a record the officials seized from Lanphear's employer.
The documents also show that Lanphear, 46, called in sick to his employer the next day, July 8, which was the same day a 21-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man was allegedly abducted from his pickup in the early morning hours.
According to Lanphear's work attendance report for 2008, his eight-hour shift on July 7 was the first time he had worked at the NewPage paper mill since June 29. He had received paid and nonpaid time off between June 30 and July 6. His compensation at the mill was $21.53 an hour, according to the document.

that song translated:
So they find eachother
From among the thousands of stars
They shine so bright
Bound to eachother
All that, what we sometimes could.
Even if we were given all of space
Just a moment and I could make it disappear
Even if the world kneeled before me
I'd only make it burn
And tomorrow
Again tomorrow I am sad
The shadow carries us
When we burn out
All that, what we sometimes cherished.

August 21, 2008 Neil Kallestad, 30, of Sauk Rapids, MN was found at 7:49 p.m. Tuesday in about a foot of water, Police Chief Perry Beise said. People walking in the area of River Avenue near the Bridge of Hope found the body.
August 22, 2008 St. Cloud, MN Police were called at 12:58 a.m. to the University Bridge and saw a man who appeared to be drowning. Two officers swam to the victim, who continued to disappear under water, police said. Officers brought the man back to shore and he was given first aid. The man was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and was treated for his injuries. Shane Robert Gerards, 25, of Albany was arrested because he had one outstanding felony warrant and two misdemeanor warrants, police said.

More than 1,700 gang members arrested in national crackdown
WASHINGTON – U.S. government officials arrested more than 300 members of a previously lesser known criminal gang during a summer crackdown, twice as many as last year, and arrested more than 1,700 gang members nationwide, immigration authorities said Wednesday.
The increase in arrests of alleged members of the gang Surenos 13 may represent the gang's increasing reach, or it may result from better classification of those arrested, authorities and academics said. The gang is distinct from the larger and better-known MS-13, but police or federal agents may have lumped them together during previous roundups.
Over the course of a four-month effort that ended Tuesday, officials arrested 1,759 people in 28 states, 33 percent more than they arrested during a similar campaign last year. Of those, 1,315 were gang members and gang associates, and 338 belonged to Surenos 13, according to figures released Wednesday by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.
The Surenos 13 members were far-flung, ranging into what might seem like unlikely places such as Provo, Utah. Seven people identified as Surenos 13 members were arrested there in June.
A relatively small number of those picked up this summer, 86, were identified as members of MS-13. Federal authorities have said MS-13 is one of the largest U.S. gangs, with 10,000 members in the U.S., Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. During a similar crackdown last year, officials arrested 273 people identified as MS-13 members.
"In every area of the country, there are transnational gang problems," ICE assistant secretary Julie Myers said in an interview with The Associated Press.
Surenos 13 gangs, also known as SUR 13, may not be connected to gangs bearing the same name in other locations, she said. MS-13 continues to have a tighter affiliation across the country than those calling themselves Surenos 13, she said.
Another reason for the uptick in Surenos 13 arrests could be that for many years, law enforcement across the country had been misidentifying MS-13 members. There are about 1,000 gangs across the country with the same signifiers as MS-13, said Sergeant Andrew Eways, supervisor of the Criminal Investigation Section of the Maryland State Police.
Surenos means "southerner," Eways said. The term is often used in California prisons to refer to any gang member from southern California, he said. And No. 13 represents the letter M – the 13th letter of the alphabet – which symbolizes the gang members' alliances to the Mexican mafia, Eways said.
MS-13 and Surenos 13 are equally lethal and dangerous, said gang psychology expert Jorja Leap, an associate adjunct professor of social welfare at the University of California, Los Angeles. "I would not want to be greeted by either one of them."
Since 2005, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has arrested more than 11,100 gang members and associates from about 890 gangs. The federal government has partnered with state and local law enforcement to rid the country of the spreading gang problem, arresting gang members on administrative violations that result in deportation. The summertime crackdown, now in its third year, increases those partnerships during the season when more members are outdoors, Myers said. Over the past three years, ICE has seized 388 firearms and arrested 145 gang leaders.
Officials also arrested more members of smaller gangs than they had in previous years, and U.S. citizens accounted for the second highest nationality of those arrested, with Mexicans being the most, Myers said.
This summer's 1,759 arrests include Walter Garza-Morales, a 26-year-old Mexican and member of the 18th Street gang who was arrested in Ogden, Utah and has a history of criminal activity, such as intent to harm a family member.
"That is an incredible number of arrests, and law enforcement is doing its job," said Leap, the gang psychology expert. "But this is an ongoing problem."
(end)
the MS-13 have been brought up as a probable "gang" in these murders. what do you think?

Re: The smiley face killer-is he a technician with Trane?
Most of the smiley face murders are causcian, except for a few. Could this have something to do with gang racial motive, just a thought? Does anyone know what gangs are more known for tagging, or do all gangs do that? I'm not predjust, just looking at a different avenue! Has the fbi investigated these graffitti markings? Sorry about the spelling! Also does anyone think these are sex crimes covered up, another theory? I keep thing of that Lanphear guy who kidnapped those two men from the bar and kept them as sex slaves in his house. He kepted plastic under them while they were tied up. One guy who got away said it was though he wanted to cover up the mess of a crime if he decided to kill him. Could someone be keeping these men for a period of time then releasing them into bodies of water to wash off evidence of a sexual crime? i don't know what to think anymore, i just don't think any of these cases will be solved, especially if the police don't want them to. I live near lacrosse wisconsin and i'm sorry all those drowning are too much to be accidental. Also kids just don't decide to go swimming after drinking or sober in the winter months, anyone who lives in the midwest knows how fricken cold it gets!!!!! The only problem i have is this has happen in warmer states too so it can't be just one sicko, even if he traveled. That is why i feel it is a network, i believe connected to the internet! Maybe some kind of fetish or porn network. They assualt them, take pictures or film then the water comes into effect to wash evidence away! Why else would these guys be found in the water. All these men are too smart and high acheivers to just go swimming in cold months. If it was one serial killer all these murders would be within the same geographic area not spread out in many states and over so many years!!!!!!!!!! Any thoughts, we need to solve this if the authorities won't.

Dean Corll and the Houston Mass Murders

Dean Corll:
Dean Corll was a 33-year-old electrician living in Houston, Texas, who with two teen accomplices was responsible for kidnapping, torturing, raping and murdering at least 27 young boys in Houston in the early 1970s. The Houston Mass Murders, as the case was later called, became one of the most horrific series of murders in U.S. history.
The Early Years:
Dean Corll (December 24, 1939 - August 8, 1973) was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Mary Robinson and Arnold Corll. After his parents divorced, Dean and his brother Stanley moved with their mother to Houston, Texas. Dean seemed to adjust to the change, kept a good grade average and was described by teachers as being polite and well-behaved.
The Candy Man:
In 1964, Corll was drafted into the military, but was released on a hardship discharge a year later so he could return home to help his mother with her growing candy business. It was there that he earned the name, The Candy Man, because often he would treat children to free candy. After the business closed his mother moved to Colorado and Dean began training to become an electrician.
An Odd Trio:
There was nothing remarkable about Corll except for his odd choice of friends, who were mostly young male teens. Two, who were particularly close to Corll, was a 14-year-old boy named Elmer Wayne Henley and a 15-year-old boy named David Brooks. The three spent much time hanging around at Corll's house or driving with him in his van. That was until August 8, 1973, when Henley shot and killed Corll at his home. When police interviewed Henley about the shooting and searched Corll's home for evidence, a bizarre and brutal story of torture, rape and murder began to unfold.
$200 Per Head:
While in police custody, Henley began to tell about his relationship with Corll. He said Corll paid him $200 or more "per head" to lure young boys to his house. Most of the boys were from low-income Houston neighborhoods and were easily persuaded to come to a party where there would be free alcohol and drugs. Many were also childhood friends of Henley and had no reason to distrust his intentions. But once inside Corll's home, they would soon become victims of his sadistic and murderous obsessions.
The Torture Chamber:
Police skepticism towards Henley's story turned after searching Corll's house. Inside they discovered a bedroom that looked as if it was designed for torture and murder. There was a board with handcuffs attached, ropes, a large dildo and plastic covering the carpeted floor. There was also an odd wooden crate with what appeared to be airholes cut into it.
Henley Talks:
When Henley described what had happened before shooting Corll, the items in the room corroborated his story. According to Henley, he made Corll furious when he brought his young girlfriend over to the house with another friend, Tim Kerley. The group drank and did drugs and each fell asleep. When Henley awoke, his feet were bound and Corll was handcuffing him to his "torture" board. His girlfriend and Tim were also bound with electrical tape over their mouths. Henley was fully aware of what was to follow, having witnessed this same scenario before.
He managed to convince Corll to free him by promising to participate in the torture and murder of his friends. Once free, he went along with some of Corll's instructions, including attempting to rape the young woman. Corll meanwhile, was trying to rape Tim, but the young boy fought so much Corll, frustrated, left the room. Henley immediately went for Corll's gun which he left behind. When Corll returned, Henley shot him six times, killing him.
Burial Grounds:
Over the next few days, Henley readily talked about his part in the murderous activity in Corll's house. He led the police to where many of the victims were buried. The first location was a boatshed Corll rented in southwest Houston. There police uncovered the remains of 17 of the boys Corll had murdered. Ten more bodies were found at various other burial sites in or near Houston. Altogether there were 27 bodies recovered.
Brutal Torture and Murder:
An examination of the victims determined that some of the boys had been shot, others strangled to death. Signs of torture were visible, including castration, objects inserted into the victim's rectums and glass rods pushed and into their urethras. All had been sodomized.
Did Houston Police Fail?
There was much criticism launched at the Houston police department for failing to investigate the many missing person's reports filed by the parents of the dead boys. The police viewed most reports as probable runaway cases although many of them came from the same area or neighborhood.
The Victims
The ages of the young victims ranged from ages nine to age 21, however most were in their teens. Two of the families suffered losing two sons to Corll's deadly rage. Henley confessed to knowing about Corll's brutal crimes and also to participating in murdering one of the boys. Brooks, although closer to Corll than Henley, told police that he had no knowledge of the crimes.
After the investigation ended, Henley insisted there were three more boys who had been murdered, but their bodies were never found.
The Trial
In a highly publisized trial, Brooks was found guilty of one murder and sentenced to life in prison. Henley was convicted of six of the murders and sentenced to six 99-year-terms. He was not convicted of killing Corll because it was judged as an act of self-defense.

It looks like a gang might be involved and some of them know each other from prison. They hate white sucessful people(even though some are white) and some of their leaders learned a trade in the Minnesota prison system in the nineties-heating and air conditioning. They leave graffiti of gangs they are affilited with. They have at least 2 woman in their group. They were at the very same bar a young man disapeared in Tennessee when they were in town to take classes.Their family does not have a clue about this. They were in Minnesota when Chris Jenkins was murdered.
