Benjamin Collen 19 yrs old from Lincolnwood had been missing since Nov 14. His body was found over the weekend inside a fraternity house storage room on the Chicago campus.The autopsy ruled cause of death was asphyxia due to inhalation of carbon dioxide from a canister. Collen was a sophomore biomedical engineering major. The case was ruled an accident and police are not looking into this futher! Collen belonged to the fraternity, ALPHA SIGMA PHI, since his freshman year. Recently he was kicked out! HMMMM..... Quoting: Harleykat 558197

Another family and college community is grieving after a missing young man is found drowned. A body matching the physical description of Trevor Boehm was found in Lake Michigan on Sunday, November 16, 2008.

What groups of people are Gary Snyder fans? Age wise?
It may be hard to narrowly define his readership and their age. Snyder was born in 1930, so he has readers spanning generations.
Here's an interesting quote from his wikipedia entry: "Snyder has always maintained that his personal sensibility arose from his interest in Native Americans (“Indians”) and their involvement with nature and knowledge of it; indeed, their “ways” seemed to resonate with his own." Also, "Snyder saw humankind as part of nature."
So I believe the killers may be misinterpreting or mis-using Snyder's work. |

He does mention Jameson who disappeared the time classes were in session so he probably has read up on this.I don't know if he realizes that Trane has a warehouse they keep their commercial units at near Ridley Pennsylvania and that Trane will make arrangements with contractors to have classes just about any where.Of course they may need access to a commerrcial unit,such as one kept in a warehouse.I doubt the instructor wants to haul one around the country with him.Maybe he does know and just has not come up with any new info. |

lets review.
First of all class dates match with classes.
They have classes all over the US and probably Canada as they will have classes anywhere they have access to commercial units for instruction and there is an interest.
In Pennsylvania,Vermont and Clarksville what looks like the letters VSW were left.
In Pennsylvania what looks like a d with an arrow and a crown were left.
The corner of Darrow and King was the hangout of a drug selling gang in Clarksville.In fact just driving by there would get you pulled over and searched.
RIdley Pennsylvania has a warehouse about 11 miles from the bar where Tommy Booth disappeared.
Minnestota brought in intructors for HVAC in the early ninties to teach inmates a trade.
So it could be an intructor that recruited criminals while teaching in the Minnestota prison system and he has a thirst for blood.The gang members would help choose victims they want to get rid of and may already have a presence in the various cities.They would not need to always leave graffiti immediately after a killing becaue they have a presence there any way. |

there are incidents in the USA of either murdered or missing young men that have been collectively referred to as the "Smiley Face Murders".
basically, the SFMs are a series of murders thought to be perpetrated by a group of people. victims of murders connected with this (possibly fictional) Smiley Face Gang are always found near a body of water. they are all male, considered good looking, athletic, and sociable.
most of these murders have occurred in the northern mid-west US states of Michigan and Wisconsin, although murders from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, and possbily Oregon and Washington have been linked to this series.
why "smiley face"? because a "smiley face" is often found in the vicinity of of where a body is found. (in many cases, a body had NOT been found, but the demographic/sex/personality type of the missing person is consistent with others, and they were often "last seen" near a lake, river, or creek).
i read this story and my mouth dropped because of the similarities.

Please someone tell me why there has been a slow-down in posts here at GLP about these murders,these smiley face murders. It is fasinating and horrifying at the same time that these murders keep occuring and there are a number of things that lead many people to believe that this very well could be a cover-up of some sort.
And could someone tell me why no one on GLP has discussed
Brain Schaffer(missing Ohio State Student---never located but disappeared from the Ugly Tuna Saloona, but there are cameras that pick him up walking into The Ugly Tuna Saloona but these same cameras never pick him up leaving) This case with Brain Schaffer haunts me still. This was a few years ago, I think April 1st, 2006. He was a VERY good-looking,very athletic guy who had just finished med school and had a gilrfriend whom he was just a week away from asking her to marry him.

The similarities are amazing. Why haven't they found his body. While his father was still alive(he recently passed away during a hurricane which caused a tree branch fall on his head resulting in his death) he had the river near
The Ugly Tuna Saloona searched multiple times. And I think Brain's mother passed to cancer soon after Brain was considered "missing" so basically Brian's close family are now dead and he no longer has his strongest advocates on his side to help him.

I almost feel like Brian Schaffer is exactly the type of person that the killer/killers look for....I think he might have been the perfect "one" and I say that because he was never located and it is possible that "they" could still have him and could be torturing him. I mean, we just don't know.
I just beg all of you to also go to his memorial page that his fiancee started and there is also some weird comments left by people on the guestbook, I mean, weird. There's even a few strange comments with a smiley face at the end of the comment.
Okay , I've ranted enough for today. I check this site everyday and have never posted anything til today.

They now have surveillance of a suspicious vehicle following a stolen DEC vehicle. So maybe it isn't TRANE after all.
They seem to know exactly where to park and dump the body to be out of the view of any cameras that are in the area.
How could anyone know this? Maybe they work as security guards in the area. Because they got into a licked parking area.
