Search like mad like I do... ;} Hate to sound annoying on this. BUt, there really isn't any reason for them right now to take more satellite photos of the happenings than normal. They can likely do a daily one. If all photos gets released is anyones guess. I figure that they are. Satellite info is not my speciality. Here's a great place to start on the web that I found. Even seems to have links to live satellite, but I didn't find anything specifically for Chaiten. maybe you'll have better luck! [ link to www.findsatellitephotos.info] ~ Question: How can I access recent satellite images of the ash cloud ? Below is a link to a May 7 photo... how can I access more recent images ?? [ link to www.spaceref.com] ? Quoting: Geogal 373387Try the link here: [ link to www.smn.gov.ar] Click the link at the top of the page "Ceniza Volcanica" for a short "movie" from the last day. It akes time to load so be patient. They seem to update it every day. Lower down is one that says "Visible - Norte Patagonia" Clicking that one shows the most recent, that updates every hour (I think). Today there are clouds moving in and it's difficult to see; either the volcano is spewing less or the ash isn't penetrating the cloud layer. I'm no expert at interpreting satellite photos, so I may be missing something.
