Re: Alternative Fuels-Using WATER to convert engine to a hybrid DIY!!
I love my truck and I truly honestly never want to give it up but I hate the gas consumption. I've been researching all over the internet looking for some way to do what you guys are talking about. Please share this with the world for free, I believe you guys could change the world! Stick with it and I, too, will keep an eye on glp for any updates. I'm a gal with the same kind of husband as earlier poster and no money to boot right now either but I have to do something as soon as I can. I can't afford to go on much longer at all. No kidding!!!

Re: Alternative Fuels-Using WATER to convert engine to a hybrid DIY!!
Hey guys I know there has been a lot of discussions on this topic here in the past.
I have been doing some youtubin and found that there are ALOT of people out there really putting it to the test. The reaction of the first video is priceless.
These are things you can do in your basement or garage!
making an electrolysis chamber to induct browns gas into your intake can improve mpg greatly and it burns CLEANER!
Well anyways Im looking for other people interested that have ideas as well. It seems a couple of simple ideas are to use stainless steel switchplates from home depot a cheap electrolyte such as baking powder or Lye, and a bubbler as a saftey precaution. watch the video below also here are youtube users that have some cool videos!
johnaarons
kyhydro
sirHOAX
bornman88
search these names and also search for HHO, browns gas, hydrogen, water engine! i am currently working on a crude chamber to see what configuration of the plates will produce the most browns gas.

Re: Alternative Fuels-Using WATER to convert engine to a hybrid DIY!!
any info or experiences on fully hho running systems.
i've read it'll last only 5 - 10 thousand miles before it eats your engine to shit

No experience with those, yet.
I was talking to my Dad, the best mechanic on the planet, lol, and he'd like to try it with a rotary engine, like the Wankell used in Mazdas.

Re: Alternative Fuels-Using WATER to convert engine to a hybrid DIY!!
Can it be used on carburatted engines? And would it be better if you had more than one?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 429003
Sure, mine feeds into a vacuum fitting on the intake manifold, which I'm sure a carbuerated vehichle would also have. The only benefit to having multiple units, that I'm aware of, is longer operating time between refills.

Very good. Time to start tinkering. I also have another idea which is instead of one big make an array of smaller ones, my thinking is it would be more efficient in separating the gases.

Are there any plans for a car engine to completely run on water? Once you've eliminated fear and darkness, there's only love and light!
I've just sent the link off to someone else who might be interested in this alternate use of water for fuel. The technic's of it are beyond my background but others might be interested. However I think it's a great idea, and thanks Primordial and the other for posting. Lots of info!
