Don Clark's Big Lie About Roland Carnaby
* May. 6th, 2008 at 6:10 PM
"...the great masses of the people in the very bottom of their hearts tend to be corrupted rather than consciously and purposely evil...therefore, in view of the primitive simplicity of their minds they more easily fall a victim to a big lie than to a little one..." - Adolph Hitler
Don Clark's Big Lie About Roland Carnaby
I'll try to make this brief. Being modern Americans, both you and I have short attention spans. That's how stories like the following get memory holed. We don't pay attention.
On April 29, 2008, Roland Carnaby was shot down in the street by the Houston Police Department. The capital crime he committed was running from the cops after a traffic stop.
When stopped the first time, it's claimed that Carnaby produced ID identifying him as a CIA agent. The offficer was told by his superiors that the ID was fake. The officer was also told to find a reason to arrest Carnaby. This brings up question number one: if the ID was fake, why did the cops need to find a reason to arrest him? Impersonating a federal official is already a crime.
At this point Carnaby, a man with a stellar reputation (he was president of the Houston chapter of the Association of Intelligence Officers), drove away from the traffic stop and attempted to call his contacts in the Houston Police Department and the FBI. Having no luck with that, he kept driving while the cops chased him through Houston.
Apparently Carnaby's vehicle was disabled by the police in some manner or another or he just stopped. This point's a little unclear. What is clear is that the police were enraged and attempted to smash the front passenger window after the vehicle stopped. Carnaby was shot in the back while exiting the vehicle and then shot again in the chest by another officer. He was put in handcuffs and left on the road to die.
Do I still have your attention? Good. This is where you need it.
A former FBI agent named Don Clark made this public statement about Carnaby:
"I only knew him as Tony," said Don Clark, FOX 26's security and law enforcement analyst and former FBI agent. "I had no idea what his name may have been or was. The name that was in the newspaper, I had never seen that name before."
Former FBI Agent: I Knew Chase Suspect By Different Name
02 May 2008
Before it's shown why this statement is a flat-out, bald-faced, blatant lie, let's see who Don Clark is.
According to Clark's bio that was released when he went to work for Sharp Technology, Clark managed the FBI's investigation of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He was also in charge of the investigation of Achille Lauro attack in which Leon Klinghoffer was killed. He coordinated and managed the investigation and prosecution of the dragging death of James Byrd, Jr. in Jasper, Texas and he was in charge of the investigation and coordination to locate FBI’s top-10 fugitive and accused “Railcar Killer” Rafael Resendes Ramirez.
Clark was also the special agent in charge of the Houston FBI office, a position he held until he retired in 2000. He's a well-known figure in Houston law enforcement circles.
In other words, Clark's no fool. He at least knows who is who and what is what in Houston.
So, let's recap. Of Roland Carnaby, Clark said on May 2 - two days after Carnaby was murdered - that "I only knew him as Tony. I had no idea what his name may have been or was. The name that was in the newspaper, I had never seen that name before."
On February 16, 2007, Clark was a guest of Roland Carnaby's Houston chapter of the Association of Intelligence Officers. It was a formal dinner also attended by deputy director of the CIA James Pavitt. Roland Carnaby introduced Pavitt and Clark and gave a presentation that evening. Yet we're to believe that a highly-decorated and highly-respected former FBI agent has no recollection of Carnaby's name?

AFIO Weekly Intelligence Notes
At this point, it's difficult to believe that Clark is telling the truth about not knowing Roland Carnaby's name. Why Clark is lying about his knowledge of Carnaby is beyond our ability to know.
What matters is that a highly-decorated and highly-respected former FBI agent has been caught lying about knowing a man that was shot down like a dog in the street by enraged Houston police.
What matters even more is that the media, the press, the Fourth Estate, has buried this story so far that it's hoped that we short-attention spanned Americans will forget it. This American won't forget it. If this is how the police treat one of their own, how will they treat us when push comes to shove?
A CIA agent is shot down by local police. The national media stops reporting on the story the day after the murder. A well-known former FBI agent lies about knowing him. And he lies big.
Welcome to Soviet America. Or Nazi America. Take your pick.
By the way...Roland Carnaby was buried on Monday, May 5, 2008. There was no reporting of the funeral by any national media.

There is a pretty good possibility both of these gentlemen are LYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is happening here, is clicks are fighting each other in the intelligence community based on covering the asses of famous politicians.
Carnaby had the goods on someone and he was taken out. |

FYI
There may be more truth to this. |

I would like to read more about the connection regarding Carnaby's roll in protecting the D.C. Madam so she could testify against the "Big Boyz" who frequented her services.
It's most interesting that George Bush, Sr. was on the board of the Houston branch of the AFIO. It is possible that he knew that Carnaby was to protect the Madam. You know how talk gets around! Bang, you're dead.

ABC News Shielding Cheney after DC Madam Hanging?

Tell A Friend
Florida police made public two notes handwritten by Deborah Jeane Palfrey this weekend, touching off debate on whether her hanging was in fact suicide or staged to look so. At least one reporter is claiming the DC Madam mentioned she'd kill herself before returning to prison, but another interviewer has aired recent audio of Palfrey warning that if she was found dead, it would be murder.
Initial reports of Palfrey's death conclusively ruled it a suicide, unbelievable considering the magnitude of the sensitive secrets she held. I first heard the news on an NPR broadcast Thursday afternoon which included an official's soundbyte on how relatives are victimized in suicides, a strange generalization that pointed blame at Palfrey for hurting her own mother before any other details of the case were released. This statement was attached to the breaking news by an "imbedded pundit", only raising suspicion of media manipulation in the earliest going.
Any intelligent debate is impossible with this lack of detail available so far. We're told the letters were penned a few days before her body was discovered hanged in her mother's shed, left on a nearby motel stand, though we don't know when investigators first saw them. Police say relatives confirmed her handwriting, but we know virtually nothing about their opinion on the letters, her physical condition or other clues. Her autopsy was conducted quietly and quickly, though a final report is due this week after toxicology results come in.
Palfrey's note used a number of clichéd expressions, strangely including "modern day lynching", referring to the extremely selective enforcement that found her guilty in federal court and a darkly ironic reference to her impending manner of death.
Among her known clients were current Louisiana Senator Vitter, former AIDS Czar Randall Tobias, Dick Morris and military-industrial wonk Harlan Ullman, but Dick Cheney's McLean, VA phone number, reported earlier was summarily un-reported after a turnaround by ABC News.
ABC anchor Sam Donaldson has also been a rumored client, along with a law partner of Rudy Giuliani, associates of Jack Abramoff and many more Pentagon, DC and corporate insiders on a list of over 10,000 numbers.
According to early accounts, ABC News correspondent Brian Ross had the exclusive scoop because Palfrey turned over years-long call lists for his staff to verify. After Cheney turned up on the list, the story, already on the ABC website and poised to run on 20/20, suddenly went away.
No explanation has been offered as to why ABC reversed itself. Any mention of Cheney was scrubbed from their website and the 20/20 piece never ran. Vitter and Tobias had already admitted whoring, so the mainstream press continues to carry the DC Madam story without mentioning Cheney, excepting DC blogsman Wayne Madsen, who says his reporting is corroborated by multiple sources, all but daring Cheney to sue. The trial's verdict received little coverage and a scheduled Vitter was never subpoaened.
Then, going into to a weekend news cycle we heard about the hanging, presented as a suicide from the first mention with no investigation. The public was left bereft of details - was it a full autopsy and inquest? Witness statements? Did the Madam check out without leaving behind anything critical of those who hounded her? No mentions left behind about the DOJ Attorney fired after investigating her case?
Now we've seen the handwritten note, but many questions remain. Can Brian Ross (now elevated in the ABC ranks) answer the most basic questions about the DC Madam story that never was?
We will, if Brian Ross' can say the words "journalistic integrity" while looking in a mirror. Mr. Ross may wonder himself if Palfrey's death was self-inflicted or a torturous murder, but as long as he withholds the secrets of the ABC/DC johns, I'd wager he's safe from harm.
Tarpon Springs authorities could also be instrumental in divulging to the public whether government officials commandeered or influenced their work in any way.

| ky don User ID: 272356 5/7/2008 3:38 PM | | Re: Don Clark's Big Lie About Roland Carnaby | Quote | People are always looking for the police to do some perceived wrong, and what you might think is wrong is not always what the law says. Police officers are people just like you Human. This so called CIA Agent had everyone fooled. He hangs out at a car lot trying to impress the owner with his vague stories. The guy said he met his girlfriend, but his wife is suing for wrongful death. So the police are wrong in all of this, well let’s look at the facts. The guy stops for the police but when the police find out he has a concealed weapons permit he takes off leading police on a high speed chase( not the actions of a law enforcement official) Carnaby stops refuses to follow any of the commands the police give, reaches into his car and comes out with something shinny. If you are the officer what would you think? I think any reasonable person would think he was grabbing a gun. Would you be in fear of your life? I would and I think any reasonable person would. It’s easy to sit back and judge the police when you have all the time in the world. It’s a different story when you have a split second to make a decision or you’re dead. In this case the wounds are reasonable; one officer’s car was for sure behind him, so when the guy reached into the car and refused to put his hands up the officer did what he had to do to survive, as did the second officer.
Two different stories are being circulated one being he was chasing an Israeli with a suitcase nuke, don’t you think if he showed credentials to the police with him being a so called Agent that they would not have lent assistance. The other I heard was he was rushing to save the DC Madam, give me a break. If this guy had been for real, or if he had stopped and cooperated with the police none of this would have happen. And as far as the supervisor saying find something to hold him on, the supervisor was not there at the time and was going on his best knowledge of a possible fake ID. To the car search officers involved in a shooting would only be concerned with a cursory search for other suspects or victims. I am not trying to defend all officers, sometimes their wrong, and some officers should not be in the position of being in law enforcement. In this case it sounds to me that the officers acted properly. Their will always be the conspiracy people looking for the boogie man |
