Dots on Mailboxes/ posts
Quote from another site....
Date: Friday, 9 May 2008, 11:44 p.m. Recently I have noticed BOTH a red and blue disc, about the size of a nickel, and placed on the outside of my mailbox. They are relatively newly placed. They can be removed but are stuck really well. They are reasonably thick and would weather well. They are not just paper. They are reflective. I live off the main road, and I drove to town tonight carefully eyeing all the mailboxes along the way. The vast majority had yellow discs, which are reflective, and show up well in the car headlights. As I got into town, I noticed some larger colored discs on the curb at several houses. I would imagine they could be placed on door posts as well, or most any hard surface such as a wall. Go outside at dark with a flashlight and check it out,and see if they are in your area also.

I just got home and did some searching on google, and this is what I came up with.

[link to www.uaff.us]

******************

I was driving home from a meeting this afternoon and started looking at the mail boxes along the road. I saw one with a BLUE dot. One with a RED dot. 2 with mulitple dots... ORANGE/YELLOW/BLUE and another TAN/WHITE/BLUE.

Maybe everyone should check their mail boxes... just in case. They are about the size of a nickel/Quarter.

Has anyone else noticed these colored dots on mail boxes or the posts?

I have yellow dots on my newspaper tube which is next to the mailbox. I think they indicate daily or Sunday only newspaper delivery in my case. I don't know what yours indicate.

These aren't just showing up on newspaper boxes or mailboxes - these dots are showing up on curbs and door posts too. I originally thought the same thing - that the dots had to do with newspaper delivery - but if they did - wouldn't it just be a widely known thing? And why would there be dots on curbs and door posts - even for people who don't subscribe to the paper?

I understand where so many people are coming from - I too figured that yesterday, after first reading of this, that the dots were just put there by my mail carrier.

So - ask yourself this as you look for the dots - when you see the dots, does that person have a newspaper subscription.

I posted pics of the dots I found at this link:

Don't know why I got banned before for putting a link to the story. There is a better chance that this is more credible than half the stuff here on GLP. A woman from Tennessee just posted a response here too and it disappeared. Stop being so selective - news is news. If you have a vendeta - please don't take it out on those of us who are trying to get to the bottom of the story.

I mean this with all due respect.

Scroll down about half way and click where it says to 'Check Your Mailbox or Outside Your Home...'

Scroll to the bottom of the page for the links

I have been banned now twice because of trying to post this damn link. Censorship like this makes me wonder if the Mods aren't paid shills and if GLP isn't a government sponsored disinfo network. If you have a vendetta against another conspiracy site - take it out on them - not on those of us who are just trying to get to the bottom of things. News is news. This story is likely more credible than half the stuff on GLP.

Re: Dots on Mailboxes/ posts
Gotta wonder.

Ya know, if I'm still here and I get picked up falling in the blue category (doubt I'm worthy of red), I'll figure myself in very good company!

And guess what else?

No matter how dark it gets, my God has promised to be with me through thick and thin.

Darkness will NOT prevail!

Whatever the dark forces have in mind, those of the Light, of Christ, will be ministered to throughout whatever may come.

In life or in death, I will praise Him.

FEAR NOT, little flock!

So if I stand let me stand on the promise
That you will pull me through
And if I can't, let me fall on the grace
That first brought me to You
And if I sing let me sing for the joy
That has born in me these songs
And if I weep let it be as a man
Who is longing for his home (Rich Mullins/If I Stand)

There's no place like home.
Home is where my heart is.

I'm in this world, not of it!

Behold! His Kingdom Comes!

Ain't no stopping it!

We've already won!!!

Re: Dots on Mailboxes/ posts
I have worked for the U.S. Postal service, as a mail carrier, for the last 13 years. I have noticed these dots too. I assure you that I have never placed any dots on any mailboxes or posts, and I have never heard this subject discussed by any carrier or management. I am pretty sure that the dots are placed there by your newspaper delivery person to indicate which papers you subscribe to.

To test this, why don't some of you who get newspaper delivery discontinue one or all of your newspapers and see if the dots get taken off your mailbox or post.

I think I will bring this issue up at work. According to postal policy, no one is supposed to be using the MAILBOX except for the U.S. Postal Service. The MAILBOX is supposed to be under postal jurisdiction and no one is supposed to place ads inside or on the outside of the MAILBOX, including the flag on the mailbox. Many people, and businesses, erroneously believe they can attach ads to the mailbox FLAG or on the outside of the mailbox. The POST however is open territory. Many mailbox POSTS manufacturers now include a space under the mailbox for the placement of newspapers or advertisement flyers.

That was my thinking as well. I just took those stickers off the newspaper box today. We didn't have newspaper delivery here for the entire time we lived here up until a few weeks ago. The stickers have been there on the box before we moved in (about a year and a half ago). Other neighbors, who get the same newspaper we do, who live on our street, don't have these stickers. This is odd. If the stickers were just a known thing for newspaper carriers - then you would think it would be common knowledge.

I hate to err on the side of conspiracy - but something just doesn't seem right about this. bump

How about starting a head count. Those with dots and receive newspaper and those that have no dots in there area. My block has no dots, only half of them receive the paper.

IF the dots are placed on the mailbox POST, and not on the mailbox itself, or IF you have a separate newspaper box and the dots are placed on it, then it is more likely that the dots have something to do with newspaper delivery.

I had a newspaper route as a kid. We were taught to spray a little dot or circle on the curb to help us remember which homes to deliver to. This was about 30 years ago. I can imagine that some may use stickers these days. Over time you changed colors as the customer base changed.

I had a newspaper route about 40 years ago, I'm 56 years old now. I didn't place any stickers on mailboxes, I memorized who got what newpapers, morning, evening, and/or sunday. The houses on my route did NOT have mailboxes along the curb though, the mailboxes where on the house.

I delivered newspapers TO THE DOOR also, either on foot or on a bicycle. These days they just throw them in the driveway. I guess it could depend on where you live though. When I first moved to North Carolina, from Kentucky, back in 1986 and subscribed to a newspaper, it was thrown in the driveway. I called the company and told them if they couldn't deliver the newspaper TO THE DOOR then discontinue it. They discontinued it. I have never had a newspaper subscription since.

They're hot dots. You're right. It's probably newspaper dudes who love to see reflective colors while they are driving just being liberal with their decals. I know if I was a newspaper dude, I'd have to do that to satisfy my artistic and quixotic side or else I'd go insane.

Well..... you going to sit there and wet yourself???? Now is the time to go and remove all stickers everytime you see them. Alternate and go to another niegborhood to do it while someone else does your neighborhood.... protect each other...... if anyone asks, tell them teen pranksters placed these and was time to remove them...... alternatley all illuminatti boxes and posts...
Simply walking the dog..... LOL

get the picture... any small measure of action is better than just reading posts.... now that we know and can observe.... lets do something

I sense that there are a few states that they will "test drive" these actions and see what people do....

perhaps this all ties in to the proposed false flag thingy that will motivate them to act like they are just collecting terrorists...

yet removing stickers is just litter consciousness...

They're kind of expensive, hot dots, seriously, they're just so the old lady who delivers the papers can zoom through her route quicker. Won't one of you idiots at least call around, maybe to someone you know who delivers papers and let them explain to you how this works?

If you start tossing those things, all you're doing is fucking with someone's job. Like I said, probably an old lady who's just trying to skirt by financially.

You fucking people baffle me.

Typically, a blue dot or some other reflective blue marker is a signal to the fire department that there's a fire hydrant across the street.

If you have a fire hydrant within 20-40 feet of your driveway, that's probably the answer.

Quite often, the city or county will place a blue marker in the pavement, but a lot of neighborhoods are just going with the dot, since it's cheaper.
