If you want to feed Darkness (the Illuminati+reptilians on Earth) and increase suffering then yes; if you want to peacefully Ascend to a higher plane then no.

Also, can you guaranty for that soul that you will provide food and shelter even if (s)he can't get a job in this hellish Illuminati planet?

NO, NO, NO! You will never do it right, no matter how hard you try, someone will be right there critizing and undermining you. I have 2 grown kids (not bad either) but I went thru so much hell trying to raise responsible, hardworking, moral people that by the time i got them raised I was bitter, angry and had nothing left for myself or husband.

In a word, NO, don't have kids the heartbreak and hell outweighs the rewards everyday.

If you really want to share knowledge...pass on good and bad things such as heredity and yet be able to sit back and watch a human grow...this yes.

kids take up to much of your energy and human energy levels are very low nowadays. unless you are a superhero or has already given up living, then NO KIDS.

Yes, yes, yes! If you focus on nothing but the negative, then it's just as well if you don't, OP. I couldn't imagine life without my children. There is hope for their future, whether you see it or not.

You better believe it's worth it - it's fun to order the little buggers around like slaves, or think of them as pets. Mine keep our vehicles washed and waxed, and the rain gutters cleared of debris, else no xbox beer and pizza.

People who think that bringing kids to this world is a selfish and reprehensible thing to do make me wanna puke. They just don't understand what is the true meaning and ultimate beauty of life and surely do not understand what love is.

Noone said raising kids was supposed to be easy. On the other hand, things that are worthwhile to engage in are seldom very easy; earning a PhD, becoming a pilot, etc.

The greatest truths about things we learned to take for granted often comes from our kids if we care to listen. Children can be great teachers about the essentials of Being, guides to rediscovering the mysteries of the universe.

depends upon where you are in your life. If you have a choice make it when you have done as many of the personal goals cuz after the kid comes most of them should be about what is best for the kid. The rewards are endless if you can handle it.

Whether or not to have kids will probably be one of the MOST IMPORTANT decisions you ever make.

Think long and hard about it.

Personally, I don't have any because I would be such a lousy father, and have no feelings for or against kids. They just hold zero interest for me.

You're extremely smart!

My son was more or less a planned accident. We were "thinking about" having children, and I guess that's all it takes. I do wonder what's in store for him, but I see so much potential in him (and in all children, for that matter) that you never know which one will make a difference, make the world a better place, etc.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 387127

Exactly! I don't think they thought at all. They were young and just married and didn't even think about it at all, much like animals don't think about such things. And my life has so far not turned out the way I would want to, and not the way I would want my children's lives to be. But who would have thought that? And granted, I am intelligent and overall healthy. But I see kids everyday who are suffering, disfigured and disabled, and mentally retarded, and I don't see how that would bring anyone much joy, their parents included. So the joy and laughter argument is out unless you have healthy kids. But of course, when their mothers were pregnant, they did not anticipate this to happen..they expected beautiful happy children who brought them joy. And you can't predict such things. Oh well, I don't think I am being much understood by most people anyway. Speaking of joy, if people have children in order to bring joy and meaning into their own lives, isn't that at least a little selfish? But no one can see it. Maybe I'm just unusual.

Re: Is It Worth It To Have Kids?Quote

It is worth it not to. I don't regret it one bit. Friends that have kids often tell me that I made the right decision. In other words, they envy my freedom, rather than implying I would not be a good parent. Perhaps they will feel differently when their kids hit their 20s. There are more friends who tell me how much having children has been a central, positive and grounding force in their lives.

If I suddenly found myself in a position to parent, I would never, ever turn a child away.

If you know that you don't want kids, don't have them.

If you aren't sure, you'll know either when you meet the right person or, the baby is born. Planned children are usually in everyone's best interest, but a good portion of the unplanned ones work out well too.

It should ultimately be your decision, not that of your partner, so take responsibility each and every time.

Absolutely! If only for the laughters they would be worth "all money and effort", for those inclined to see it that way.

I got to say I have great difficulties speaking of pros and cons about kids... isn't it like speaking of pros and cons about the Sun, or love? It is pure nonsense to me.

Re: Is It Worth It To Have Kids?Quote

Personally, I think having children, and a family, are the reason for being. It mirrors every organic species in nature, and nature itself. If there is really a reason for being on this planet, I can think of none better.

This has been a hostile planet since the day it was formed, and will be until the day it ends, the trick is to survive it. I would rather live in todays world, then most any period in history. We have always had the ability to destroy ourselves, and have tried desperatly to do so throughout the ages. The difference in todays world, is we can do it more effeciently, and on a larger scale. Dead is dead, whether it be by the torch of the cave man, the arrow, sword, or bullet of our ancestors. Think of every period in history, and you will find atrocities to mankind. Today is no different. But I cannot think of any other period in history where mans awareness has evolved, in such a short period of time, both positive and negative.

Children are amazing little beings, genetically modified to be mirrors of yourself. They are pure, innocent, curious, much more intelligent then most give them credit for being, and give total, unconditional love. There is no greater satisfaction in this world, then watching your young grow and prosper. Of course, there is also no bigger disappointment, then watching them fail, but such is the cycle of life. There are no guarantees in life, but there is one true love, and that is to the family.

But if you are basically a selfish person, children are not for you, as you will have to give 1000 more times then you will receive, at least in the beginning, then this reverse's, but only if you raise them right.

Just my two cents

That is so true, and why the senseless violence in this world is so tragic. Which of the people who have died needlessly, were the ones who could have saved this planet, or made it a better place?

Without a doubt!!! Worry not for fear is the work of the devil. The bible says to be fruitful and multiply. Only irresponsible people will tell you other wise. Children are 100 fold worth it. Our daughter had planned on having zero, she had one and NOW says she would not trade her for anything in the world!! Yes there is bad in the world- but there is GOOD also!! Don't worry be happy! hf
