Got to spend Mother's Day with my mom. She just got out of hosp and is slowly recovering.

Hope she feeling better! My cabin is a little over an hour to get there from my house! It's literally in the mountains off the hood canal! It's on the inside of the olympic mountains! I'm going up next week to clean and finish the water system, I'll get some pics!

Okay the fact is most of the people will not be prepared whether they know its coming or not. So lets talk more about if you find yourself in a situation where you can no longer go home and you only have the clothes on your back what can you do then?

Iv been thinking of posting a thread about this but I haven't done my research fully. I will eventually (soon)and you should think about that because it dos not take a long time to learn few tricks, which might I add we forgot over generations that we should have never so.

So instead of carrying pots and such we can start to think we can actually make them very easily. All you have to do in order to make a pot is dig out the top of the earth until you get to the clay, mold a pot and out of clay and water and bake it in the fire and woala.

God knows where you have to move to save yourself and others. So natural water filtration ways, natural foods and energy preservation...... For example when your cold and tiered, low energy all you have o do is make pine needle tea and drink 3-4 glasses and you will have the sugar and energy you need to complete your emergency station...

Making a long term meat drying oven out of clay in the ground can be super beneficial. You can dry your meat and store in long terms for winters or summers..

Ways to store your crops underground in earth to keep them fresh up to 6months (garlic, potatoes....

Those are the things we need to learn, learn how you would work with nature to live in long term because if we only rely on things we can take with us we are truly doomed (am not saying you should not be prepared in that way as well).

Whats the use of everything you have if you have to leave the place in the moments notice for example because the enemy is coming to get you because they know you will be in the mountains.

And I lived in the woods on a mountain for 3 months in Kosovo during the war I was only 13 back then but still to today I know I will never light anything outside not even a lighter in that situation because it can be seen for miles.

You know little things like that will save our ass because they wont stop in front of your house they will chase you all the way up to your foot. And that is the reality of true war and any war on war. And war then it will be.

use the search function here, Lester , Omega, Underground Dude, Redheaded Stepchild, Mercury, all have lots of great advice on the subject, it is something near and dear to me as well, for many decades

Thanks for the advice! I'm really stocking up my cabin, and just wanted to make sure I'm not forgetting anything! But Thank you for the lead I'll check it out!
