The killing will not stop as long as men believe the ultimate blasphemy: that certain self-proclaimed prophets have been ordained to speak for God. Lost to the sheep who blindly follow their own selected shepherd - usually the first shepherd they meet - is that none of these self-proclaimed spokespersons has presented any proof as to why they should be believed. Abandoning any attachment to logic and reason, these desperate and gullible throngs passionately believe that mere printed pages of doctrine are the inspired inerrant word of God. The fact that the printed pages are rife with historical and scientific errors and riddled with countless self-contradictions, is no obstacle to the believer.

Unfortunately men do very stupid things, and very brutal things, when they are motivated by their concept of God's will. Reduced to simple terms, men will kill because their inspired inerrant word of God, be it the Qu’ran or one of the many versions of the Christian Bible, tell them to. I draw your attention to how the Qu’ran tells its followers to treat nonbelievers (non-Muslims):

“They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah's way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.”
- Qu’ran 4:89

“So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”
- Qu’ran 9:5


And now, it is time to reveal how Christians are supposed to treat those who do not share their beliefs:

“If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;

Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.

And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.”
- Deuteronomy 13:6-11

The perfect plan to achieve and maintain enormous power is this: (1) Convince the masses that you are God’s spokesperson, and they must obey you or face eternal damnation; (2) include in your doctrine a provision that your followers must share their wealth with you; and (3) eliminate your opposition by convincing your followers to kill those who don‘t believe you are God's sole spokesperson. Judged by these standards, the Qu’ran and the various Christian Bibles are marvels of successful merchandising.

Once a person is ensnared in the grip of mental manipulation, escape is difficult. The religious convert surrenders his intellectual freedom, abandoning logic and reason in the process: The Qu’ran is true because the Qu’ran says it is true, or the KJV is true because the KJV says it is true. Organized religion thrives on blind unchallenged submission. In no other area of thought or inquiry would such nonsense be tolerated.

Let the killings resume, for God has spoken.
