Yes, I will help the two older ladies next door. At the very least, people should prepare for a Katrina type event by having fully stocked pantry, and at least 10 gallons of water in their home. Great idea to have heirloom seeds. Don't panic, just prepare. Things may ride along for years or collapse tomorrow. |

Two and a half years into The Great Depression the government was saying that the economy will bounce back. They didn't even realize they were in the Great Depression. Here we are about three years into this thing and I don't see any improvement at all. I see things getting worse every fucking day! It's probably safe to say we haven't hit bottom yet. Soon local governments will need to cut back services much more than they have already. This means more layoffs, more UC benefits leading to more people on food stamps and more homes lost to foreclosure. Enjoy the "good times" now while you can.  |
