For those of us that are old enough to remember Boris Yeltsin will remember his love of Vodka, Boris Yeltsin was such a merry drunk.
What if Boris Yeltsin's drunkeness was a ruse to convince the world that, he like most Americans enjoyed a beer or three!
That as such he posed no threat to the world and only wanted to increase trade with the west, possibly importing more beer!
He created an illusion of someone that enjoyed a good time as much if not more than most. A reduction in hostilities from the west allowed for the perfect platform for Vladimir Putin.
