Anonymous Coward User ID: 415044 United States 05/20/2008 03:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My thoughts on this, as one having the mild form of Tourette's, is that it is not demon possession, but a thorn (a bodily annoyance, or disability...physical, painful, and humiliating; see Strong's G4647). At least the mild form of tourette's. It keeps one humble, so that we do not become exalted in our own eyes or the eyes of others. (2Cor 12:7 describes Paul as having such a thorn). My tourette's is of the ticks sort. I have facial and bodily ticks, which started at a very young age. My parents ridiculed me out of ignorance, thinking I had control of them. They did not understand tourette's back then, nor did they recognize it so readily. My classmates would constantly tease me. Today, people look strangely at me, afraid to ask. So when I notice someone looking, I'll tell them it's tourette's. They become rather embarrassed that they got caught staring, but I reassure them it is ok. It has helped make me who I am today. I do not laugh at the disabilities of others, but try to empathize what they go through on a daily basis. I do not laugh at the calamity of others (even if self-inflicted) as most laugh when they see someone get hurt (like on television shows of videos of people getting hurt). I protect the weaker, encourage the slower, and root for the underdog. My heart is tender, my love is strong. It indeed hurts, because it wracks all my bodily muscles on a daily basis. I am tense all the time, with knotted muscles. Primarily it is in my shoulders, arms and back, which can tick uncontrollably. My eyes, nose and mouth also, sometimes at the end of the day, I am just plain exhausted physically. I am grateful that I only have the mild form, because IMHO, I am far too impulsive as it is. Once in a blue moon, I might have an outburst, on extremely stressful days, but these are ever so rare. And when they do occur, I am totally embarrassed and want to crawl in a hole. It happened more frequently when I was younger. I am concerned that my son has tourette's also, but of a worse kind. He is extremely explosive. |

Corinthians 1:6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. |

BUT demons DO exist, far more than we are willing to believe. ONLY JESUS can help. Tourettes suffers need to commit their lives to Jesus and find a good Christian deliverance minister to deal with the demonic part. Should not forget the Bible also tells us to be renewed in our minds so after deliverance that is really when the work starts. I confess I know little about Tourettes but through personal experience A LOT about demonic. Blessings!! |

Anyone with a brain can clearly see there is NO proof of demons anywhere!!! I dare you to bring up real, actual proof of a demon!!! YOU CAN'T! TPTB wants to keep us down, so they stuff you full of these lies! It is possible to summon demons, it is very dangerous. One way to do it involves water, reflection, and other things I won't mention. Demons can infect people. More importantly, methods to summon demons give repeatable results, like one would expect to see in a science experiment. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 902489 United States 02/27/2010 11:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've never met a Tourette's person Quoting: Anonymous Coward 899973I was married to a man with Tourette's and it was torture for him to hold in his tics and grunts when out in public, but he tried his best and stayed out of public view as much as possible. Alcohol and pot helped, which is probably why you think you have never met a Tourette's person. Maybe you have but they were working very hard to appear normal. He was the most sensitive and intelligent person I have known. He endured a childhood of teachers calling him retarded, kids beating him up after school, and ignorant parents refusing to allow him to come to sleepovers or birthday parties. He was a tortured soul but never blamed anybody, and accepted everyone at face value, never judged others. He never wanted to have children because of the fear of passing this on, but would have been an incredible father. You people are harsh. Do you blame a diabetic for needing insulin? Do you accuse an epileptic of faking it when they have a seizure? A neurological problem means the neurons in the brain are firing wrong. Maybe someday some of you will have the privilege of knowing a kind and loving person with Tourette's. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 2494 United States 02/28/2010 02:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think it is. I think it's time we people as a whole have to take responsibility for our own actions. Lucifer is a vain jerk and his disciples are true followers but the one thing I have learned in this life is there is a science to breaking down the human mind. Psychology and sociology and the other mental health descriptions is a study of the human mind... Quoting: Eve_4000BcFor example, I get OCD sometimes. I repeat my sentences or get this thought stuck in my head that repeats itself over and over. It's a horrible feeling. Is it demon created? No! OCD is a disorder linked to depression. I suffer from depression obviously on certain days or days and days resulting in years. Disorders form due to the depressive mental state. So in order for me to over come my sadness I learned to work out. It causes my brain to release endorphins in my brain that reacts to the depression. I become suddenly healthier. happier and my OCD goes away. Like I say... Weird disorders aren't so weird. They just need to be noticed, observed, and worked on. Once the person is told the truth and accepts they do have something then they can build the tools on fighting such mental states. Blaming it on a demon and getting some witch doctor isn't going to solve that persons problems. Building strength and tools to overcome the problem at hand will be the solution. Understand? You are clueless! Why do you think Jesus and the apostles spent so much time casting out demons? You can cure your OCD's but it won't happen by taking medications or talking to a therapist. Not only do you need to get rid of demons but you also have to remove any ghosts (earthbound spirits), thought forms, ET's, etc. You also need to clear your chakras and release any negative memories, emotions from them. The answers and cures we seek will not come from Dr's! |
