Just like it's hard to find toothpaste without fluoride.

THEY are trying to kill us !!!

Beware....if you shop at GNC and try to buy pills that you swallow....read the label carefully...they are adding things like splenda (sucralose) and aspertame (neotame, phenylakenurics, etc) to pills you swallow....not all mind you.....but I've checked many of them and they do.

I mentioned this to the sales people and many of them were scratching their heads too. I told them I was alergic to sucralose and couldn't use it.

WHY IN GOD'S name do you add an artificial sweetener to a pill that is meant not even to hit your taste buds ?

Because THEY think you will not notice.

Of all the artificial sweeteners, sucralose has done a number on me many times that I had taken it unawares...like in icecream, gum, protien powders, etc. It is very much like pesticides/insecticids and I'm sure it can kill many bugs.

And watch out for the name changes...nutrasweet has many names (neotame, amino-sweet,phenylakenurics (sp), etc).

My guess is they will come up with 10 more names for it as well as for "splenda" = sucraloserant

Big Red Cinnamon flavor DOES HAVE artificial sweetners! Even though the FIRST ingredient is SUGAR...then gum base, then CORN SYRUP...if you go down a couple more ingredients, u will find...ASPARTAME! And the very last line it says contains phenylalanine....Nice huh! I bought a pack today, not noticing at the store because it is in such fine print on the tiny end of the package where they fold the plastic over and the writing is covered pretty well. I am returning it later, I am not going to encourage that, I have been searching for months for a decent gum with just sugar...like the old days...LOL! Now I will go back to searching health food stores and the internet for real gum. If I find any I'll try to post it here. Toothpaste and juicy are easier, there are lots of good brands of those with nothing bad, but gum still eludes me. I did order mystic gum at a health food store, no telling yet what it is like, but! its a shot! Good luck, happy gum hunting!

I've been buying Glee Gum at CostPlus (other places sell it too) for the last couple years ever since I noticed Wrigleys had changed their formula to include aspartame. I just found glee gum's website and they seem very much against artificial sweeteners, particularly aspartame...

Chiclets Fruit flavored gum by Adams, - no aspartame and whole foods carries gum that is aspartame - free...in fact, nothing in their store has aspartame in it. The guum is manufactured by Xlear, Inc and called Spry. It is flavored by Xylitol - a 100% natural sweetner from a plant. Also, Bubble original made by Hershey's. It is hard to find aspartame free gum, but we won't chew any other.

There are a couple left but they are hard to find. Dentyne Classic cinnamon gum. Chiclets gum. Clove, Black Jack, Teaberry gums. These are almost impossible to find now. Big Red and Juicy Fruit added aspartame with the grandiose statement, "new improved taste" back in 2005.

Oh please, that is why the OP is asking. Every time you read gum labels it has this crap in it. OP is just wondering if there are any gum anywhere without it and it is few and far between.

I know the old fashioned gums like you can find in a Cracker Barrel will still have sugar and nothing else. Here are some at the link.

Re: any gum without aspartame or sucralose or artificial sweeteners anymore?
Supposedly they have a new aspartame that is highly concentrated. Therefore they don't have to add much to get the sweetness they want. At what point will it not have to be on the label at all? Because it is such a small amount. That truely scares me. I've been trying to eat real food but now we have radiation to worry about in milk, fruits, veggies etc.

Just give me the blue pill so I can forget.

Maybe a 12 pack would work.

I realize that this thread is very old, but I would like to add that as of today, I know of only two popular chewing gums that still restrict Aspartame from their ingredients. These 2 are Dentyne Fire, and Stride Cinnamon. At one time, big red restricted it as well. But as of a couple years ago, they also include aspartame. I have experienced the effects of aspartame first hand for 17 years and thankfully have avoided it for the past 6 years.

the strangest thing is if you compare the amount of sugars its always 71% across the board for wrigleys.

so if the sugar is the same if its sweetened or not, why is it sweetened??

do wrigleys even understand there is a huge portion of the population that avoid these sweeteners?

are companies really in the dark about this?

does anyone actually care to craft a nice letter to wrigleys simply asking them, are they aware of the number of people that don't buy their chewing gum simply because they chose to add sweeteners the older brands?

I contacted wrigley's thru their website customer service portal

they said they don't add aspartame to their gums for sweetening , they add it for flavour

I asked What flavor does aspartame have ?

they said it's proprietary

I told them to please ESAD

they asked what's that

I said it's proprietary
