Apparently cars are pretty much maxed as far as their ability to use less gas. It takes a certain amount of gasoline to create an explosion to drive the pistol down. Thats why in 100 years, gas mileage hasn't significantly changed. Its the laws of physics. No conspiracy theory here.

The only alternative is an alternative fuel, and hydro fusion is the best technology. Just simply have to split water molecules faster. Electrical frequency I think is the key.

Re: Supressed carburetor gives V8 muscle car 200 mpg
there is NO WAY. the air fuel ratio is what feeds combustion, if you reduce one or both the yield will also decrease. yeild=power. it is possible to keep a car running on a reeeeaally lean mixture, but you can forget muscle.

Re: Supressed carburetor gives V8 muscle car 200 mpg
Yes there is only a certain amount of energy contained in a gallon of gas. Problem is, the normal carb or fuel injection simply WASTES about 80 percent of the fuel.

Liquid gasoline simply is not that explosive. The vapors are what's explosive. A regular carb tries to atomise liquid fuel into as small droplets as possible, then mix it with air, sometimes forced, in order to try to get this not very flammable stuff to burn. In consequence, most of the fuel is wasted. If you bothered to read the article you would see this. It's not running on a lean mixture at all. It's running on the vapors.

My old trusty ford f350 dually with a big block V8 engine gets over 70 mile per gallon with a modified carb setup. I pull a 32 foot cattle trailer to the sale barn once a month and still get over 50 MPG with a full load of cattle at 70 mile per hour. My acceleration is every bit as good as the guys driving the big dodge turbo charged cummins diesels.

I bought the Pogue blueprints from some enterprising marketeer back in the late 70's. They promised to show you how to modify your own carb to get to 200 MPG. What I got was EXACTLY what your link showed including the story about how the lost plans had been found. The only problem is that as enterprising as I am I had no shot at taking those "plans" and modifying my carb to be a Pogue carb.

Lets see some more... Show us a working Pogue carb producing 200 MPG. Show us where we can purchase one for our own use. Only then will I be interested.

The principle seems good to me. The plans are really complicated to build. I think the people who are running the intake through the exhaust pipe, to atomize the fuel, are on the simpler track.

Too many educated people say some things cannot be done or cannot possibly be possible with the laws of physics. I love this guy's quote:
Yoshiaki Arata, a highly respected physicist in Japan who has been the recipent of Japan's highest award, the Emperor's Prize, and is the first person to have performed thermonuclear fusion research in Japan said:

"Some people say we have reached the end of science, that there are no more great discoveries that remain. In my view, nature always has more secrets to reveal," Arata wrote. "I always stay on guard not to be too possessed by my own current knowledge. History has shown us repeatedly, for example, the foolishness of denying 'heliocentricism, ' which resulted from individuals adhering too strongly to their own knowledge or to what was common sense in the past."

You silly wrabbit. A lot of gasoline is left after the combustion process. The catalytic converter in your car's exhaust system finishes burning and removing this excess fuel. If you could recycle that left over fuel you could probably double the gas mileage.

There is a 'quench' area in a piston engine where combustion against the cylinder is not complete. You can't remedy that by stupid attempted "vapor carburetors" or fuel mixture schemes or ignition schemes or anything else.

Just a note on the OP's link. Rex Research has been a mainstay in the alternative science, conspiracy realm for decades. In the days long before the internet, they used to advertise in the back of 'Popular Science' and other magazines for their print catalog. I used to order alot of research from good old rex. It's great to see this company is still around, if only a fraction of their stuff is true, no doubt they're being a big pain to TPTB for a very long time. Check out their website for some of their other research, nobody else quite like them.

Re: Supressed carburetor gives V8 muscle car 200 mpg
Modern fuel injection/emission systems are only designed for maximum efficiency of getting rid of unburnt fuel, they are not designed to completely burn the fuel. They are only capable of a maximum of about 37% efficiency, In other words at least 63% of the energy available in a gallon of gasoline is wasted.

100% efficiency is probably not possible, But this Carburetor was an actual mass produced (then suppressed) working model that won early Daytona races. Do a search for the "Fish Carburetor", or go here:

I now get 15mpg pulling my trailer after some modifications done to it. Basically, I removed as much EPA mandated crap that I could. Just doing that net me +3-4mpg.

Makes one wonder what the true goal of the EPA is.
