I give thanks for friends in unexpected places
Once me and my ex spat bitter curses at each other and turned away coldly. But tonight when I desperately needed a large favor from her, she came through for me with a casual, "Oh sure, no problem. Don't even worry about it."

Whoever would have thought that this woman at whom I once threw a phone book, would rescue me like this with such a casual air as if I deserved it.
