Re: Have you ever been cheated on?Quote

I've been cheated on and am no longer with that person. I would never and have never cheated. Cheaters get to live with what they did for the rest of their lives, it haunts them years later. Cheaters also never trust anyone because of what they did. I researched it a lot and realized that most cheaters do it because of their own issues.

Usually what goes around comes around. Eventually cheaters get cheated on and then they realize what they did. Then its too late.

I think you guys are both ascribing your own morals to someone else.
Cheaters are not at all haunted by their actions.Maybe someone who made a one time slip up, but not actual cheaters.
If they saw things the way you do, they wouldn't be cheaters to begin with.
They know full well what they are doing and they enjoy it.

No I'm not ascribing my morals to the person who cheated on me. He has actually told me years later how it has haunted him for years (and continues to), how he can't trust because of what he did, and he realized that he did it out of his own insecurities. He begged me for forgiveness (even though I already gave it to him). He's totally afraid that because he cheated he will always be cheated on, he's already had it happen. FYI he said that cheating was not fulfilling. He had a void that he was trying to fill. He now regrets a lot of the ways he tried to fill that void.

Hell with my EX Wives the question is moot. The only one those whores stopped spreading their legs for was me! And then they wanted 1/2 of my assets when we divorced for NOT fucking me? Geez, it was a bargain to never have to worry about those tramps again.

A real bargain.

It too the first ones literally MONTHS to loose everything I gave her. The other's hung on for a year or two. But eventually they wound up broke, too.

My wife cheated on me...we have been married 14 years and have two young children. She sais it was because "He" came on strong and would not let up. He told her all the things she wanted to hear.

I found out about him from my kids. I hired a private detective and got pictures and phone records of what she was doing. She would not admit it until the affair until i showed her the proof.

I stayed with her to keep the family together but things will never be the same. I don't think about her the way I used to.

Yep, I've been cheated on.

I was true blue to my first wife and took her back after her indescretion. It was a nasty situation as she told me she was makin' it with her boss and was leaving me for him. Then she grab some stuff and left.

She showed up at our door a day later. It turns out her boss was telling her that he was leaving his wife, just to get her to sleep with him. She was eating crow, I was an old-school kind of guy, and we had a 6mo old daughter.

We stayed together for 21 years after that. Because she broke our marriage vows, I felt a lack that I really had to struggle with. During that time, I cheated on her 3 times. Part of it was the fact that the same attitudes that she had towards me when she tried to leave me, had never gone away. I was looking for some affirmation as a male, and surely wasn't finding it with her. We did a good job hiding the true condition of our marriage from our kids. They had no idea.

When our youngest was 17, I divorced her and married again. I loved wife #2 with all my heart. It was the happiest time of my life. I was faithful to her for 15 years before she cheated on me and left for another. That almost destroyed me. After 2-1/2 years I am almost back to normal.

I'm thinkin' that maybe I'll leave women alone from now on.

Seems to me if you are not happy in a marriage or relationship you should end before you do something stupid like cheat.

People need to realize the hurt you give someone by cheating.

Re: Have you ever been cheated on?Quote

Let me be your male counter-part. I have been in a relationship with a woman (not married) but we have lived together for 18 years, 2 kids, and in the first 16.5 years of our relationship, she cheated on me 11 times, and thats only the ones I know of. I can say that I have had propositons from other women, but have kept honest and loyal to her the whole time. Call me what you will, but I am trying my best to set the example to my kids, my family and everyone I know, that you love them and stick it out. So she's finally coming around to not having affairs on me. Or so I feel.

One Good Man's opinion. And so sex is not the basis of our relationship. But even today she says she can't live without me, so I must mean that much to her.

good for you for not cheating back. i now realize that doing that, or 'pre emptive' cheating as i called it is all kinds of messed up.

it doesnt make you feel better at all. just feel as crappy as the person cheating.

I moved on, I started my life over.
I don't regret leaving them all, I'm happy and I'm free.
