Remember the guy who was going to skydive from space?
He lost his balloon! D'oh!!

[link to news.bbc.co.uk]

(video in the link)

'A French man's attempt to skydive from the earth's stratosphere ended in failure when his balloon drifted away.

Michel Fournier had been due to take off in the balloon from Saskatchewan, in Canada, in a bid to beat the altitude record for skydiving. Canadian TV caught the moment when his balloon set off without him. '

Sometimes, it's just not your day!

Especially when you consider its cost him somewhere in the region of $20million to get even this far :D
Cheers.

No I read somewhere that the french government stopped funding him cause they thought it was too dangerous, so he did it privately and he made it his lifes work and spent $20million :D
Cheers.

Ufff, where is this world heading to.

20 million for what? Even if he would be able to make it, what is the big deal?

There are far more important things in this world that need money.
Not just one ego centric sky diver who needs to prove something to himself and the world.

Can anyone name one good thing this would bring?
