The problem now is that there are 6.5 BILLION people on earth, and they almost all fall under one "creed" or another.

But there are only so many "major" creeds.

This lends itself to division and tension among major geographic regions.

In any normal situation, if I removed the religious nature of the divisions, we'd be talking about secular war.

Geographic division and tension, and the inherent push/pull for those all-too-rare NATURAL RESOURCES lead to WAR.

Add the religious element and then all rational thought goes out the window.

We're already seeing the natural resource type of conflict developing...O I L

And we're seeing the major assertion of the major religions during the beginnings of the natural resourse conflicts which are to come.
