I do not smoke anything, but if smoking - on exhale - the smoke is lighter than the smoker. When the smoker walks away the smoke does not follow. This is a basic law of physics. The same goes with the atmosphere of earth - were the earth moving we would lose atmosphere. The earth does not move.

The velocity from an earth rotating would cause objects to weigh less at the equator than towards the poles, centrifugal force. Fuel and travel time would be less in one direction than the other when traveling east and west. The earth does not move.
