Radishes have green leaves and you should be able to pick them by now.. very easy to grow and ready in a month. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 441839yes, or that lmao,,, that makes sense "By way of deception, thou shalt do war." Israel's Mossad "The truth shall set you free." Anonymous Coward User ID: 441827 United States 05/29/2008 12:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I found myself with the same problem. What needs to be done, and it's not to late, is to take your plants and separate them and plant them again to just the part under the leaves. The seeds probably were planted to close to the top of the soil, or as with mine, the soil settled enough in the container to cause this. After you do this, they should start acting more like radishes. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 292545 United States 05/29/2008 12:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, I planted them 2" apart in a pot. The pot is about 8-12" deep. I planted several different varieties of them. They all are growing red stems. Too strange. I planted more today so I will see what happens to them. I guess I will just pull up the others. I even grew just one in a soup can and it is doing the same thing. By the looks of the pics I googled there is plenty of room in the containers. Beats the heck out of me. |

Now they are starting to plump like radishes should. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 441827Thank you. I will try that then. How far down in the soil do you plant yours? So you transplant yours? I just sowed the seed about 1/4 or 1/2 inch and spaced them 2" apart and let them do their thing. |

ElleMira User ID: 76494359 United States 05/15/2018 09:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | -never heard of transplanting radishes. I always plant mine by seed. -make sure to plant in rich soil (all purpose fertilizer) -radish plants prefer cooler weather -if you leave radishes too long in the ground, they will get hot tasting. Hot tasting radishes can be cooked or pickled. |
