I have heard past interviews conducted by Michael Savage on his radio program with Pat Buchanan. Savage generally resonated with Buchanan's conservative perspectives.
Now all of the sudden, Michael Savage has denounced and forcefully condemned Pat Buchanan. Why? Because Buchanan wrote an article for Human Events magazine ( [link to www.humanevents.com] discussing the historical events leading up to WW2 regarding the so-called appeasement of Hitler, and how this relates to Iran and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the Israeli/U.S. stance toward Iran.
Savage, on his radio program this evening (Friday) bellowed that Buchanan "hates Israel," and compared Buchanan to a Nazi, and declared that Pat's position is "un-American." Savage said he would never again associate with Buchanan by having him as a guest on his show!
Who is this unobjective blow-hard called Michael Savage? He can be very entertaining and informative on many topics, but when it comes to Israel and zionism, he is a one note orchestra. He tows the line of the Likud party. I'd like to see how long he would remain on the radio if he didn't suck up to Israel, and if he tried to be more objective regarding the Israeli/Palestinian issue.
So much for free speech, Michael Savage! I dare you to have Pat Buchanan back on your show to discuss/debate Munich 1938 with him. But you won't, because with his historical knowledge he would mop the floor with you. Hypocrite! Coward! You just lost my listenership. |

Don't support Israel 100% and they turn into rabid dogs and then claim zionism doesn't expect total loyalty. They will even claim they will debate you in a civil manner but I've never seen it. Even jews that don't like zionism are targets. |

Look at this member of the Knesset trying to lift the ban on F22 sales to Israel.

Any Nazi and Hitler sympathizers ARE unamerican, and should be rooted right out of this nation just like the commies once were. Buchanan and some of the posters in this thread, that means you. Our nation already fought one war against your ilk when Europe couldn't take care of its own internal problems... how many times does it have to happen again? If you sympathize with Hitler or the Nazis then that makes you a traitor as far as I'm concerned, and the hundreds of thousands of true Americans who died to defeat that evil would undoubtedly agree with me. |

Michael Savage's talk show is rated right up the in the top 3 or 4 radio talk shows. He claims to promote American nationalism, but he seems to be blinded to the facts regarding unconditional support for Israel and how that stance undermines what should be American neutrality and American security interests.
Whenever he discusses Iran, he will not go back to what happened in 1952 via the CIA -- the overthrow of a democratically elected Iranian government (because it had socialist leanings, and also because it decided to nationalize British petroleum interests) and the installation of a tyrant, the Shah of Iran. That was one of the wellsprings of current Middle East turmoil ... and it led directly to the 1978 fundamentalist revolution ...
I'm sick of the loud, egotistical, arrogant asshole Michael Savage. Pat Buchanan is a great advocate of a foreign policy that protects and promotes American independence and genuine nationalism. And Savage betrays and misrepresents Buchanan ... Savage knows where his bread is buttered ... I'm disgusted with Savage after the things he said about Buchanan tonite. Why? Because it demonstrates how biased and willingly ignorant Savage is.
Have you ever noticed how anyone who is even allowed on his program to debate these and related issues can't get a word in edgewise because Bigmouth Savage won't let them ...

Just fucking tired of Israel. I do not give a fuck about Israel. Israel has the right to defend itself to be certain, but why should the US have to do this for them or pay for it.

I enjoy his show, but he often comes across like a boorish braggart with a martyr complex. Listeners take the good with the bad. I'm sure that Pat will survive the childish attacks and silly insults. He might even pick up a few new fans because of it.

He *is* very entertaining. I agree with much of what he says, but I don't appreciate his mean and rude manner with people who might dare to not agree with each pearl of wisdom (hee) that comes out of his mouth. I think that he would be afraid to debate Pat in a gentlemanly manner, quite frankly. It's easier to froth at the mouth in his safe studio where his opponents can't fight back.
