Radiation is what it is
 it can cause mutations
many will develop brain tumors and gliomas like teddy kennedy now has-many younger people as well
Children should not even use the phone under 14-as it changes the brain waves-the longer the cell phone use the more dramatic and long acting the changes are
Developing brains are subjected to mercury-throughout most vaccines and alot of foods,mega RF, Radiation,environmental contaminants like fluoride or pesticides
most will continue to use their phones-and they shall have consequences from it-they are dangerous-

Yrs ago when the damned things came out-being a professional I got one-promptly within a few months I kept it dysfunctional without a battery-then I tossed it-it is crap
Studied radium physics to know-I tossed my out that fast and never looked back. Of course many look at me as odd when I tell them I do not have one-strange world

Where I had to be careful all of my adult life-not being mormon or catholic-due to fertility
but kids now days-haven't even drank a wine or beer and they are sterile

the phones will kill you-the less used the better and the farther away from you or your reproductive organs the better-unless you want to be sterile like their FRANENFOODS/Terminator seeds-with roundup in their plants killing everything else...not just plants

I saw a man at a restaurant the other day having two conversations at the same time. A cell phone on each ear. I thought that was a bit excessive, but I suppose it works. I like cell phones mostly for if you're driving or lost or alone somewhere, it is very nice to have. Otherwise I wish I didn't have one. |

several youngish people in my area have died of brain tumors in the last couple of years and im convinced it is either the cellphones or the cellphone towers which have caused it. |

think again-broadband....wideband....EMF comes off in all direction only affected by the Inverse Square Law-farther one is the better for the layperson-(lasers have the potential to help direct but the popcorn is from the active phones with saturation-when it rings, pulses...
I keep all phones and electric clocks at least 5-8 feet from me when I am near them-as much as possible
When they are in active mode they are miniature microwaves-check for yourself and make some popcorn-as anybody who does it can see with their own eyes
but since verizon and friends stated they were safe and no problem the ignorant bleep and grab their cell-struggling when disconnected...just like Phillip Morris and their deep pocket lies-testified after being sworn in-

I'm not quite sure who Teddy is. Either way the previous post was an attempt at sarcasm on my part. Personally I dont go near the things if I can help it, I've never felt the need to own one, and am truly puzzled by the phone addiction some people have, though I admit there are times when one would be useful.

I'm talking about the video that got featured that showed 4 cell phones popping 4 kernels of popcorn due to the radiation given off from the cell phone. I want to let everyone know this is completely fake. A 1 kilowatt microwave takes around one minute to pop it's first kernel in a closed environment. A cell phone transmitter operates from 0.1 to 1 watt, but this video shows these kernels popping almost immediately. I'm an electrical engineer and a guy I work with whom has a better understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum was kind enough to do the theoretical math on this. He joined GT just to do a comment on this vid, and here's what he said:
"Plausible? Let us do a little math.
Popcorn pops because the water in it turns to steam and a kernel is about 14% water. So, if we assume a kernel of popcorn weighs 1 gram, it has 0.13 grams of water. Heat that water from 30�C to 100�C would take:
(0.14g)*(100�C-3 to turn the water to steam requires he latent heat of vaporization, which is 2259J/g.
2259J*0.14g= 316J
for a total of 316J 41J = 357J.
Wattage = Joules/seconds. If it took about 5 seconds to turn the water in the popcorn kernel to steam, then the wattage required was:
357J/5sec = 71W assuming all power from the cell phone transmitter went into the kernel.
Cell phones typically have 0.75W-1W transmitters in them. With a 1W transmitter, it would take,
334J/1W = 334secs, if all power is transfered to the kernel.
You decide."

I do believe that cell phones can cause harm.
And, I hate it when people lie in an attempt to sensationally prove something that's already true. If you have to resort to bogus theatrics, something is very wrong. Plus your target audience, the dumbed-down, is the audience least likely to listen anyway. Leaving only the intelligent left to rip your bogus theatrics to shreds and then be less likely to listen to the truth in the future. That's why it's never a good idea to attempt to get people's attention via bogus sensationalism. It only results in more harm done to your cause.
Just calmly present the truth. Then some will listen, and those who don't are just darwin award winners waiting to happen anyway.
This popcorn video pisses me off because I know there's no way in hell that popcorn can be microwaved that quickly. I don't like having my intelligence insulted even when it's by people I agree with. I do agree that cell phones are harmful. But I don't agree that the best way to get the message out is by telling lies. |

Same here, that's the only reason I own one. It's a pre-paid Tracfone so only costs me when I use it, which is infrequently.
And I don't need a video to show me its unhealthy, after about a minute with that next to my ear, I feel warmth and static against my head!! |

I am a sales manager for Optus Business in Australia,the 2nd largest Telco.My team sells lots of mobile deals.I am the only one in the company NOT having a mobile phone.My guys chat for ages on these devices.Pointless explaining EMR,as they are an essential business tool.My role means I do not need a mobile phone.I have never used one.Our fixed lines utilise VoIP,voice over internet protocol.I have several devices which are the world's best in harmonising EMR from positive harmful ionisation to negative beneficial ionisation.These devices were developed by orgone effects australia.The best is a device that plugs into any powerpoint which creates a negative ionisation field for several kilometres and neutralises cell phone towers and ambient EMR.

This must be a gullibility test. I put some dry kernels in a microwave, on high. None of them popped, even after a minute. Microwave popcorn is packaged in special bags that have a metal liner that heats up to pop the corn. Without that, they tend to burn but never pop.
The only question is how are they faking this? |
