This cool trick does it all! In addition, I would also like to share that freeing up disk resources and performing a disk cleanup is also a good way to speed up a program's loading time. I read it from this site. [link to www.speedypc.org]

Start-->My computer||Right-click C:-->properties|| Uncheck "Allow indexing service to index this disk for fast file searching."-->APPLY

Not a big deal but who ever really GOOGLES there own machine using MS code?

Will free up a few cycles, regular filename or type searches are unaffected.

Another neat trick....

Push your Windoze machine off the roof and go get a Mac. Avoid all this hassle and enjoy your life. Time is speeding up, ya know.

I can't believe you Windoze people cripple and torture yourselves like this....

I know what you're saying. And to be honest I would take in what you're saying, if I was a newbie to computers altogether.

Problem is I have well over 10 years experience with Windows operating systems.

I can and will leave my computer online without powering off, without restarts for months without any noticeable performance impacts/errors/crashes.

I have so much confidence in myself (sorry to be an arrogant so-and-so) that I simply like to tweak and push the computer to the absolute limit. (well, Window's limit technically speaking)

In the last few years though I have been delving into a bit of Linux, but I simply do not have the time to migrate everything I do in Windows to it though. And then there's the whole "compatibility" thing.

I've never understood the fanboy phenomenon with operating systems and stuff. If you put a little time in to learn something, any OS is fine.

You don't know how many times I've installed **buntu to machines to have people tell me, BUT I CAN"T USE IT? Same start menu, same apps, different names? (They don't have there install CD's!) People are really that lazy they can't learn something new. Eww, it's Open Office not Microsoft Office, does not compute? Anyone who has used a MODERN LINUX distro would understand this.

Re: Cool trick to speed up browser/program loading time
I just read an interesting article about how to increase the speed of browsers here which details stuff no-one mentioned here. [link to compu-smart.hubpages.com] it also has links to every browser available which is very handy!
