American Girl, fine job of showing us how many folks get upset if you say the sun is off the mark. Never knew it would draw such a crowd, holy cow, all I know is I gotta move my camailia (sp) bush that is now getting full sun,although it hasn't since I planted it, years ago, don't have charts or graphs, but do know I wouldn't have planted such an expensive bush in full sun, as any gardener knows.
Tell me this. What object or objects USED to block the Sun from hitting it and where are they now?

I am a REAL amateur astronomer
I have equipment.
I have charts.
I have pictures.
I also belong to my local astronomy club who hold observations at least twice a month. Once during the new moon and once for "sidewalk" astronomy for observing the Sun.
Not one member of our club has noticed nor commented on the Sun being out of position.
The chair I sit in in the evenings is next to a west facing window. At this time of year the Sun starts to shine through the window directly onto my chair. It will continue to do this until late fall. I've lived in this house for 4 years and this has happened every year.
ok, this is an example of evidence i am looking for. And no swearing too. Do you think the Earth could wobble briefly and your club not notice?
Yeah, THAT'S IT! It wobbles when no astronomer in the world is LOOKING!

You seem unqualified to grasp common sense things like the above, and are unwilling to answer questions or follow a discussion to a logical conclusion. Those are qualifications that can be accurately shown here, not the "I'm a lawyer" stuff. You seem unwilling to believe anything anyone says here, so why would you ask anyway, other than to, as you demonstrated, launch another insult?

Get an education Free Store. Venus is invisible approximately 45 days before and after the superior conjunction. It is not visible now. Wait for it to rise in the west at dusk in a month or so. |

Added: I made a mental note of the time I saw what I saw and it was 1:30.am Pacific. Does that sound close to where Venus conjuncts the early morning Sun?

You don't even know what a conjunction is. It happens twice in a 584 day cycle. That means it is really close to the sun as seen from earth. When it is too close to the sun, we can't see it. It is really simple stuff. |

I talked to my neighbor last night, who is a landscaper by trade. He is not a Woo Woo! He said yes, the sun is different. He said he used to know where to plant things because he knew where the Sun would be but now,...... he just shrugged his shoulders.

Someone can offer thousands of reports from casual observers
that the Sun isn't where it should be but that will not matter
come this Summer Solstice when millions of people can see for
themselves how wrong those reports are.
If those reports are correct then why do Sundials continue
to work all over the world, many of them very ancient. And
don't try to tell me that the Sun behaves differently at
different locations. We all have the same Sun shinning down
on this same planet and it would be physically impossible
for the Sun to dance around and then go right back to where
it is, or the planet, for that matter.

Bottom line, the sun is rising 15-20 degrees off to the north. It seems to correct itself before noon.
I noticed it June 12th 2008 and now this morning it is out again. I am marking the shadow lines through out the day today.
Go outside and look now, it is out of place as I type.
I welcome any discussion regarding this, either side. But please keep your childish insults to yourselves. I do not wish to be dragged into another crap fight. I too, will say nasty things when provoked and I do not want that kind of stuff.
Be a human and act responsibly towards each other, or say nothing at all, please.

I wonder if the people who are so adamant about the location
of the Sun being "off" or "wrong" are willing to observe the
Summer Solstice and admit that they are wrong when it takes
place right on schedule?
I would really like to know how the Sun, or the planet Earth
can move so quickly out of position and then snap right back
but only in a few locations for a few observers, while the
rest of the planet sees no change?
