I have already said that if you give me latitude and a longitude I will tell you exactly where the Sun will set on any date according to science - you can then go to that location and test to see if my predictions are true.
If this would not be proof enough for you what would? What kind of proof are you looking for?

I moved to Alaska 9 years ago. At that time, here in Anchorage, we would have about 2 hours of total darkness and an hour of twilight on each side of those 2 hours around summer solstice - the way it's been for as long as anyone can remember. I have clients whose yards and plants I take care of during the summer months. Up to 4 years ago everything seemed "normal". During the past 4 years I've had to deal with lots of dying plants due to being fried by the sun. In addition to that, the daylight during the summer months has been increasing at night. This summer, like last summer, there is no "night time"...no 2 hours of dark anymore. It stays light here for 24 hours now with just a 'hint' of twilight around 2am. Many people here have commented on the increase of daylight hours...including the native residents who have been observing the skies here for 10,000 years.
Total horseshit. There has NEVER been ANY real twilight in Anchorage at summer solstice in all of recorded history. There is, and ALWAYS has been NO time of total darkness during those nights.

Nope its due to a combination of the very small short term wobble in the the Earth's polar axis and the fact that even with leap years our calander does not quite work in terms of putting the Earth at exactly the same point in its orbit on the same date at the same time from one year to the next. However the differences we are talking about are pretty academic and certainly not noticable to the naked eye in terms of the location of the Sunset/Rise |
