There's a deeper issue here. Whatever it is, it's more than your traveling preferences.
Many people including myself don't like the TSA rules. Why don't you look inside yourself for the real answer.

Allow me to share my recent experience with you all. After reading about the scanners at airports that have the ability to see through your clothing and can detail out all your private parts, I send the article to some friends and my girlfriend of 5 years. In the e-mail I stated that if my choice was to either be violated with a machine or molested by security, I think it was time to stop flying. Commons sense to me, as the Orwellian police state has yet again violated our most basic of rights. After hearing that I didn't want to fly, my GF calls me and is in shock and just doesn't know if she wants to be with someone who doesn't want to travel or go places. She doesn't want to be confined to New Jersey! I didn't say I wouldn't travel, but I refuse to fly now. I didn't say I wouldn't go on a boat, or drive somewhere! But you think she would respect my feelings on not wanting to fly. She says I am letting the government win....no...I just don't want some low life guy in an airport stare at my penis or my GF's breasts! Common sense if you ask me....but we are dealing with someone who will never understand what some of us understand. So...after hearing her say that, I said, "well, I think you have something to thing about!"

After not hearing from her, I pretty much unloaded at her, saying that we can't go on a boat because you get sea sick, maybe I don't want to be with someone who gets sea sick. I want to go on crazy rollercoasters, and she doesn't, maybe I don't want to be with someone who doesn't want to do that. Not to mention her asthma always acts up and we can never do certain things that I would like to do anyway. But I deal with that, it's a relationship and there has to be compromise and a little give and take.

So long story short....we aren't speaking to each other, and I pretty much viewing this as over! My opinion is that she is being extremely selfish and self-centered and only caring about vacations instead of my feelings of being violated by the state. And the worst part...she totally missed the point of the article.

Any thoughts, I would love to hear them!

OP, I guess I will be in the minority. I personally HATE to fly, but I do it because I love to travel deal, as your excuses don't add up.

Well, apparently there is more...." hate that things are like this now, but I don’t know what to do to change them. When I got your email about the airport something sunk into the pit of my stomach. I have this man that I love more then anything and here was another issue like all of the other conspiracy issues that I have been trying so hard for three years to ignore and get past all because if I admitted that I couldn’t then I would loose you. I feel that you want me to believe what you believe so badly that you resent me for not seeing it through your eyes. I often feel like these government policies and behind the scenes happenings that you believe so heavily in take priority over me.
