am I meditating properly? how to get better?
I have only recently discovered the energy aspect of meditation. I will close my eyes and sense a build up of energy, and can almost see it getting like a larger, pulsing circle.

I was just trying to do it with my eyes open, and I feel extremely light headed, my sinuses all cleared up, nose cleared up, and I feel my head having pressure.

I tried telekenesis exercises today as well. I built up my energy in my head and moved it to my hands, and intensely focused on an object. Nothing happened, but got into a deep trance and focus with the object. I am not good at guiding my energies I don't think. What is the source of energies within the body, to draw into the third eye?

Am I on the right track? I have noticed I am not very good at controlling my energies, just building them up. What are some energy practices I could use to develop further?

How about the telekenesis, did it not work because I didn't build up enough energies? They said you should meditate for half an hour before attempting, I only did for 10 minutes before that session.

Finally, does the light headedness make sense? Is it a natural occurrence for meditating or does it mean I am doing something wrong. Please guide me!

Re: am I meditating properly? how to get better?
Shallow breathing could cause lightheadedness.

There are many books by self appointed gurus.
Trancendental Meditation even teached at great cost and issues you a secret personalized mantra. (one of 3, that's why they demand you keep your mantra secret)

My point is beware of people trying to pick your pockets or control you..

Just me, giving personal advice.
Costs nothing/worth nothing/expect nothing

Whatever you use to stop the internal dialogue and meditate, if it works for you, use it!

Focusing energy:
hold hands close but not touching

palms facing, fingers spread

Feel the interplay of electromagnetic fields as you move your hands in small circles,as if holding a ball between your palms, keeping the distance.

Concentrate on that feeling
move hands gradually further apart as if th egolf bal becomes a hand ball, becomes a tennis ball, becomes larger and larger until beach ball sized.

Then touch the temples of someone with a headache (for example) and visualize energy flowing into their head for omen hand and out to the other hand.
It goes in like white pure sheet lightning and out carrying pollution like discolorations.

Say nothing about why you do it.
Only: "May I touch your head for a moment?
No expectations, no goals except the imagery.

That 'pollution' that passes into one hand passes out with your next breaths' exhalations.

I cured my ex's migranes that way many times.

It works on other pains as well. Find out for yourself.

pk: telekenesis, OOBE: Out Of Body Experiences etc. are sidetracks from spiritual growth.

Like playing video games are a sidetrack from learning to write programs to make videogames.

Find out what your goals are and make a plan to achieve them.

Self appointed gurus abound.
Take all advice as just so much bs unless it actually works for you.
Including of course my advice: just so much bs unless it actually works for you.

Try anything for several months before giving up.

My own life plan is to be happy.
My daily goal is to leave smiles in my wake.
Brighten the day of one complete stranger and I feel my day made someone's world a better place.
