There is a debate by some over the size and shape of the earth. The “mainstream” narrative is that the earth is roughly a globe travelling at unimaginable speed (66,600 miles per hour) through “space” while spinning. A non-mainstream narrative is that the earth is “flat” or mostly level and fixed in position. Both narratives explain how travel is accomplished to different locations in and around the world.
Those who believe that the earth is a globe rely primarily on third parties for their conclusion—many believe a narrative espoused by “experts” and mainstream institutions that man has travelled far enough from the surface of the earth to “verify” that it is a globe. Those who believe the earth is flat and fixed discount the narratives of third parties and rely primarily on their human senses—that the earth appears flat over the horizon; and that we feel no motion.
I have a different perception that is based on my living a life based primarily on my intuitive senses: that the earth has neither shape nor size and that we live in a “realm” with numerous locales and not on a singular “planet.” This assertion is not capable of physical proof. It is not meant to persuade through logic or physical senses. I make this assertion for those who are open minded to consider the matter on their own.
In support of an alternative perspective, I would suggest that truth is not dependent on whether one belief system has greater or fewer adherents than another; or on the beliefs of figures who have been made famous or declared experts. One should also recognize that our ability to discern truth is limited and distorted by our human senses (limitations and distortions unique to every animal). Finally, the relevant “Science” (meaning, independently replicable and verifiable) only goes so far (and is subject to the limitations of our physical senses).
I have arrived at the conclusion that the earth has no static shape or size, in part, by comparison to my dream state; and, in part, from the numerous experiences and insights received from my spiritual “awakening.” Through my awakening, I have observed that seemingly disparate events are in fact related. I have observed, tested, and observed again. In so doing, my mind has opened to what I will call the unseen world (see my concurrent “thread” on this site, The Path That Honors Creation). I have come to view the world differently—without or with less influence from existing narratives. I have also come to realize that there is no separation between the “spiritual” and “physical” planes. We live a multi-layered existence.
In my dream state, I recognize no shape or size to the dream world. The question is inapposite. I have often awakened within the dream, observed, and upon waking remembered my dreams. Oftentimes I have travelled back from a dream on a mode of transportation, such as an airplane, train, elevator, escalator, etc. (albeit the transportation may not operate in the manner it does in this existence). In those dreams, I have frequently connected with other dream participants who have shared the same mode of transport “back” with me to waking life. I have observed that my dream travel is fundamentally little different than my waking travel.
I also intuitively perceive that when we travel in this “realm,” we travel through different locales. These locales are formed by different groupings of individuals with similar energies and attractions. These locales have no true physical shape or size.
The physical sense of travel is an illusion created by our beliefs and then perceived by our physical senses in the form of a symbol (the “vehicle”) and a narrative (the explanation of the movement). We perceive that we travel by way of a physical vehicle, but such a vehicle is not fundamentally necessary—but for our shared belief that it is. It is a symbol joined with a narrative that we collectively or individually use to explain our movement from one locale to another. The narrative is the explanation that we rely on to explain the movement, but it is not the cause of the movement.
If our beliefs were to change, any other narrative could replace the existing narrative. If we believed that we could now all now move via personal flying device, (or “teleporter” or dirigible, etc.) we would see ourselves travelling in such a fashion. It is the belief, not the illusory “flying device” that enables this.
To conclude, the main narratives regarding the “globe” or “level” earth, both of which I subscribed prior to my awakening, I have set aside in favor of what I am able to perceive intuitively: the earth has no shape or size. Travel occurs through a shared belief system that creates a symbol and a narrative to explain movement. Ironically, should we all so choose, based on our belief systems, whether it be globe earth, level earth, or a non-static earth, we could all travel to Fiji for cocktails.
One last thing, there are consequences to one’s beliefs. Expanding one’s mind, and releasing limiting beliefs, is a natural development from a true awakening (and can also lead to such an awakening) and leads to other insights about how this realm operates.
