Representative Ron Paul says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi removed a section from a bill passed by Congress which would have barred the U.S. from going to war with Iran without a congressional vote, claiming she did so at the behest of the leadership of Israel and AIPAC.
Paul, a former Republican presidential contender who formally removed himself from the party’s nomination race last week, makes the allegation on C-SPAN during a recently held foreign policy conference in Virginia.
Paul says Pelosi’s first act as House Speaker in 2006 was to “deliberately” remove a portion of a legislative spending bill which said the United States “can't go to war with Iran without getting approval from Congress.”
According to Paul, Pelosi and her allies in the chamber's Democratic leadership initially accepted the bill designed to outline an Iraq exit strategy, but during a revision of the legislation excluded the statement regarding the need for congressional approval of any military assault on the neighboring country of Iran.
“She [Pelosi] removed it deliberately,” Paul says. “And then, the astounding thing is, when asked why, she said the leadership in Israel asked her to. That was in the newspaper, that was in 'The Washington Post,' that she was asked by AIPAC and others not to do that."
Paul implies Pelosi, desperate to advance her flawed spending legislation, bargained away the proposal that would have been the House leadership's primary vehicle for challenging the administration's policies in the region.
According to John Nichols, who covered the story about Pelosi’s capitulation at the time for “The Nation,” Pelosi was "under pressure from some conservative members of her caucus, and from lobbyists associated with neoconservative groups that want war with Iran, and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).”
Paul's allegation is corroborated by 'The Asia Times', which in another article published at the time says AIPAC was strongly against attaching "a provision to a Pentagon spending bill that would require President Bush to get congressional approval before attacking Iran. AIPAC was strongly against it because it viewed the legislation as taking the military option 'off the table.' The provision was killed."
The article also cites Congressman Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, as saying [Pelosi's] decision was due to AIPAC. |

after watching the video someone else just posted on MSNBC...it seems Ron Paul speaks with more emotion. Anyone who reads body language knows what I am talking about...just watch his eyes and where they go as he talks.
Could be passion could be he was silenced or regrets leaving the race..but from previous clips he never did that before...more spoke while thinking about "past" things or things "to come".
Just my two cents...but interesting...words can be manipulated, but body language is always harder to conceal what is really going on.

When Ron was in Houston, he was all fired up. It seems he is changing his rhetoric from being "Mr. Nice Guy" to one on the war path against TPTW who oppose a return to rule under the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Instead of running for the Presidency, he said his mission will be one of an activist for righting the wrongs. His naming Pelosi as the culprit who railroaded the bill to cut short Bush's privilege to go to war any time he feels like it is proof of his crusade to get the truth out in the open.
It's way past time Congress quit allowing Israel to dictate American policy, which got us into the War on Iraq and wants us to go bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.

Time for a new 50 state Constitutional congress to reform Washington.
The Declaration directs us to do so. In so many words it says we have to install a new septic tank!!!!

I'm still voting for Paul in the November election, if his name stays on the ballot, or if we can do a write-in. Otherwise I'll just have the clerk destroy my ballot and I'll state why it's being done.

Pelosi On Israel
Pelosi is 100% behind Israel, and stated "The creation of the State of Israel is one of the miracles of the twentieth century."
Pelosi overlooks Israel’s brutal treatment of the Palestinians, and doesn't mention Israel’s massive nuclear, chemical and biological weapons arsenal. Pelosi’s view of Muslims versus Americans and Israelis is racist.
Regarding Iran
According to Pelosi, the biggest danger to Israel today comes from Iran, whose nuclear ambitions, though still unproved, also threaten the US. |

I think that mole happens to be Hillary Clinton. J. Edgar Hoover had massive files (dossiers) on each and everybody who was anybody. Hillary took those files into her possession while she was in the White House. Now, "It's you vil do as I say!" Blackmail is a powerful enforcer.
J. Edgar might have been a stinker in some ways but as long as he was head of the FBI, it was a noble institution. He stood as solid as he could against the forces that had the intention of dumping the Constitution and Bill of Rights. His untimely death paved the way for the mess we're in today.
(Don't forget how proud Hillary was when she found out she has Jewish ancestry.)

How is it even legal for foreign nationals to lobby OUR government?
And isn't lobbying as whole illegal?

I can't believe Pelosi did that - it's OUTRAGEOUS!!
She is my representative and I am writing her a letter now! NOt that I haven't written her over and over about impeachmetn before but this is blatantly unconstitutional. She is just giving away the checks and balances that this country so desperately needs!
I know she is in AIPAC, I worked at a meeting for them that she came to.
Why don't they just give up and let bush bomb the whole friggin world if he wants to.

Hea, I'm a girl and I wouldn't insult boys that way. The boys just can't be that low. Of course if your talking the whitehouse, I wouldn't consider them boys, more like roaches. You're right, Lincoln took over Washington, District of Columbia when the Southern States departed Congress thus leaving it without a quorum.

And the Noahide laws require that the US government and all local adminstratins must submit to control by the Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes that Jesus condemned 2000 years ago.
Under the Noahide laws, you are convicted of crime with only one witness.
In the case of Iraq, they convicted a whole nation with out any witnesses.
And, under the Noahide laws, Christianity is a capital offense. It couldn't hurt if a bunch of the Paulites donated to Sheehans's campaign to replace Pelosi. She could probably use the money.
And as Paul himself says, the people need to elect better officials, so getting rid of Pelosi would be a great start. |
