THE HAUNTED ORTEGA HIGHWAY CEMETARY!! BEST GHOST INVESTIGATION YET!!!!!!
Quote

So we went to this old Cemetary off the Ortega Highway. I didnt even know there was one there. any way, in the center of this Cemetary is a translucent coffin, made of quartz or some other material. In this coffin are the remains of A women named La Llorona Said to haunt this cemetary.
No sooner then we started to set up this blury vision passed our eyes in our right peripheral vision. the funny thing is we were all in different locations in the cemetary but we all collaberated on what we saw, the shape of a women in our right peripheral. Weird? thats not even the half of it.
I always warn my guys to go two by two, we brought this new girl on named Rebecca and she teamed up with our Tech specialist Darin. Darin was wearing a crucifix around his neck, but it was not on a chain it was on a leather strap. this leather strap did not break but somehow when he was standing by the van chatting with Jerry and me it fell right through his neck onto the ground. he didnt even notice it fell off until jerry pointed it out. Darin grabbed felt his neck and then looked down and saw it sitting there. Thats when he picked it up and I looked at it and said "its not even broken" how did it fall off your neck if it didnt even break?"

needless to say Rebecca wanted to go home.

We caught some thermal imaging, of a Lady like figure.

we caught an EVP of some indian chant, could be anything but no one heard any music while we were there.

Now this was the best. with no light effects or even electricity in this grave yard the Translucent coffin I mentioned earlier Turned green then red. thats when the SCREAMING began. This was the best haunting ever. Darin locked himself in the van and me and Jerry high fived and are sending the images and recordings to PPA (pacific paranormal association) who will then send it to TAPS (the atlantic paranormal society) who will then investigate themselves.

SCIPA (southern california investigations of paranormal activity) is our Paranormal society and we send what we can to any proffessionals willing to do a second over and expose it.

Our analysis is that this place is definitely haunted. but deems no threat to anyone..

oh by the way just so you want to know who La Llorona is.

La Llorona is the legend of a woman who has lost her children, and who can be heard, and sometimes seen, weeping in the night. La Llorona (the name means "She who weeps" in Spanish) is in most stories said to be Mexican, although sometimes she is a woman who lived in the American Southwest. As with most urban legends, there are many variations of La Llorona, but the central plot remains intact: The woman has lost her children, usually because she herself has killed them because she wants to marry a man who doesn't want any children. She is so anguished over the depressing circumstances that she kills herself as well, and is thus doomed forever to roam her native land, weeping and wringing her hands. Sometimes she is said to be searching for her children, and sometimes she is said to appear only as a warning to those who see her.

"Sightings abound throughout the Southwest. Supposedly she drowned her children in the acequia (irrigation ditch,) and now she roams the ditches looking for her, or any, children. Usually the story is told with the intentions of keeping kiddies away from the ditches, so they won't drown"

Fucked up but true? I'll take that as a compliment. I live about a half hour away. We do all the southern california investigations. then we let other agencies or societies know about it and vice versa, we sometimes go outside of southern california if the evidence is to hard to ignore. some rather compelling evidence we have encountered is in pennsylvania and we are on are way on the 25th

Yeah, fucked up but true! Pennsylvania is a neat place. What area are you headed to there?

I live in SC. Have you ever been to Charleston? That's a damned spooky place.

Oh, and you should try Savannah, GA. Damn, talk about haunted...

Would you elaborate on this coffin in the cemetery?
I've been looking up info on the Ortega Highway Cemetery and none of what I have found mention this coffin.

Pics?

Thanks

OP, Jason and Grant will be the first ones to tell you that if you have investigator compromising the investigation by hiding in the car, then they don't belong on your team. I don't blame them, I would be scared shitless. But they are very strict about having investigators who can handle hardcore shit. Just a head's up.

i live in cambria, and know about this cemetary from my kids. lots of weird people meet there, at a school. if you show up, they bail and run!! and these are adults w/cars etc.. strange stuff..

Tamara Thorne: My joy is ghost hunting so vacations are planned around it. My work is my life. I write about what I love and I play in what I love -- my sideline study is probably cats and ragtime music. There's a cemetery on top of a piney mountain in Cambria CA (the real Caledonia in The Forgotten) with many graves without names. Several say "Unknown Child" -- one of those is covered with change, some of it very old. No one touches it. Absolutely inspiring.

Funny, I grew up in South OC and would visit the old Mission Cemetery on a nightly basis. You know - freaky Gothic teenagers in need of death and beer without cops. The only haunts I witnessed were the spiders and Coyotes that hung around.
One night as a dare I even stayed the night in there.. Creepy as Hell yes, but Ghosts... no.
I am a believer as well, but if you know the History of San Juan, you will know that the Cemetery was relocated to Ortega Hwy. It was originally near the creek where all the Kaufman and Broad homes are now.

This is rude yes, but once I even opened one of the concrete casket Tombs they have there and low and behold... nothing was there. (which now I can speculate that the some poor little girl that just moved into her new home will get sucked into her Television and her brother may get eaten by the backyard tree.

My question is.. If there are only stones and broken wooden crosses there, where in the Hell are the bodies??? (no pun intended)

I am still in search of Haunted areas and have been to most that people claim are Haunted, ie Gravity Hill in Sylmar CA next to the old Jewish Cemetery and the ruined Asylum, Haunted Forest (which is quite un forest like) Suicide Bridge in Pasadena, and the East LA Linda Vista Hospital, which actually was a bit creepy. I toured The bridge in Valencia where Lost Boys was filmed where some dumb as tried to hang and fell to his death, I guess he forgot to drink the wine beforehand. Calico grave yard rocks at night but still no ghosts, just alot of creepy desert sounds to keep you on your toes.

I'm always open to new adventures and as I ge older I actually crave them. My 10 year old son is a wannabe Ghost Hunter so if yo have any ideas that "really exist" please let me know where .
