That's the problem with English football though, isn't it? Too many prima donna ponces, and not enough hard working highly skilled footballers such as the ones playing in white for Russia tonight.
England has been left WAY behind in world football, and it is now time to bring in that 5 foreigners rule, before it's too late. |

I am Dutch and I feel devastated, especially after the great games we had in the previous matches. Still, the Russians deserved to go to the semis; they played great, dominated the midfield and distorted all our attacking lines.
Good luck to Guus Hiddink and the Russians for the rest of the tournament. |

england would have been embarrassed by those 'peasants' tonight. they were superb.
anyway, he wasn't telling you to congratulate them. just saying to keep your nose out of something you have no right to talk about.
you had your chance in the qualifying stages and blew it.
Russia showed their class when they were 1-0 down to you to come back and beat you. Show a LITTLE Bit of class mate, and realise a class act when you see one.
My money is on Spain, and I think they'll do Italy tomorrow, but Russia look a very hard semi final. |

We didn't deserve to be in the finals after our farcical qualifying campaign.
However, it's a tragedy that Austria and Switzerland who didn't have a prayer in hells chance get free tickets to the finals just for co-hosting it, what a waste could have had 2 decent teams in their place. |

We didn't deserve to be in the finals after our farcical qualifying campaign.

its just coincidence that the idea of team playing among men of these upper educated classes should become established just prior to the outbreak of the first world war when camraderie would be very needed, and the idea of a common foe would be made the reason for the war. two teams, two armies...there really is not much difference at the end of the day. |
