Yep. It was so weird. Thought I saw my elderly aunt across the room, but it wasn't her... She was in another part of the house. I think it was her deceased sister, my grandmother. Cool.

Re: Anyone ever see a ghost?Quote

I grew up in a very haunted home. Never actually seen a corporeal spirit. I sassed the spirit once and it went postal - loud groaning. Scared the crap out of me and the dog.

Hubs made fun of me. But, later, he actually saw a ghost. Thought it was a person, until it dissolved as he watched.

yes. not sure if it was a ghost, it was a small man (dwarf) at my the door of my bedroom.

this and three other more occasions hooked me into the conspiracy/paranormal world.

Re: Anyone ever see a ghost?Quote

I've seen a few.

3 or 4, I would say. Possibly more, but I can't recall more than that too well.

And I've seen some in dreams too, but that probably doesn't really count for this thread's direct subject matter.

But anyways, yeah, 3 or 4.

Only one was remotely frightening.

Also, I've heard a lot of sounds... but I never "saw" what made them. But I believe those count. Too many to name.

Ask me in a month. I am currently setting up a small "investigation" in to a local legend known as the "Wise County Orphanage". Videos will be posted when avail. No corny channeling stuff, just setting up some items overnight with cameras rolling.

The other night I was in bed and started to fall asleep. As I started to drift off my whole body froze. I couldn't move a muscle, and it felt like something was pulling me from my bed. I literally thought I was gonna fall off...and it got really chilly, I was shaking. For about probably 5 minutes it stayed like that. During that time I could see out what looked like a little black flame kinda next to my bed...it scared the SHIT out of me...still have no idea what happened and I'm freaked out.

I watched a "documentary" on ghosts of children. It included some deserted places that had been orphanages. Quite sad. Very sad.

define ghost.... had a few experiences....saw 2 dead old friends on seperate occasions...didnt know either was dead on viewing date, in both cases found out a few days later... saw them in public settings, both acknowledged my presence, yet remained aloof....lookalikes? psychic echoes? a vibratory link collapsing? my fertile imagination?....more than a few years earlier, in my childhood, a silhouette used to appear in the doorway of my bedroom, as the midnight train passed...could descern glowing where eyes would be, otherwise featureless....always had a good feeling about it though, kind of paternal.....

Re: Anyone ever see a ghost?Quote

I lived in a creepy old house back when I was young. I heard lots of noises....there was cold spots, and usually right after you felt the cold draft, whatever piece of furniture you were sitting on would start to vibrate.

In terms of actually seeing it, that only happened when it would take on the physical form of someone that would visit. That happened a couple of times. It also imitated my voice a couple of times and spoke to two of my friends using it while they were in the bathroom.

Damn thing would turn the volumn up on the stereo....but it would also turn it down when you told it to.

More weird stuff than you can believe....and very frieghtening! I only stayed there a month and demanded that the rental company find me a different apt.

When you do the investigation make sure to bring a tape recorder. It catches EVP's EVERYTIME! If there is a spirit there it will pick it up.

Re: Anyone ever see a ghost?Quote

Yep, the night we buried my sister I saw her standing at the foot of my bed, I was 9, it freaked me out.

And on a piece of land I lived on in Georgia, used to be an old saw mill, cotton field before that, I saw an old black man with a sack on his back walk through my living room, again freaked me out.

In the house I am living now, I saw the silouette of a woman walk down the hall the night we moved in, didn't freak me out so much, it felt peaceful.

There may be more, but those are the ones that immediately came to mind.

That may have been the start of a spontaneous vision as in "vision quest". If you ever have a successful one this reality will never be the same to you.

Other possible symptoms: ringing in one or both ears, heat at base of spine which starts to travel up spine, feeling of hands and feet enlarging, total body paralysis, a loud "swooshing" noise, geometric shapes appearing.

Did you experience any of these other things besides the body paralysis?

ok, by ghost i assume you mean disembodied spirit of a dead person....cant say if i did or didnt, dont think anyone else can either...turtles living room experience could be that, or just an echo of a vibratory event, that conditions allowed to be amplified to a "semi-corporeal" state....same for her old woman....her sis, well just like my late pals, there could be many psycholgical, psychical, or emotional reasons for her vision....people see stuff, alot of stuff.....dont really have any way to show what exactly they are experiencing though.....could be glimpses of another vibratory plane of existance, and our predjudices make us see casper.....

Yes, while I was paralyzed there was definitely a ringing noise in my head. The scariest part was the strong pressure I was feeling all over my body.

I have had what I call "frozen dreams", where I fight soooo hard to wake myself up, and I feel like I am thrashing around but I can't move, and I can't scream, I can only make a quiet noise.. and then when I finally wake up, my calves are frozen and I can't move for a bit. Those are awful.

Re: Anyone ever see a ghost?Quote

I hear them.

yesterday one told me to get out of "MY" house.

Well I thought that was pretty damn funny! because I've been living hear since I was a child and our family bought this house new!

Now a lot of family members have pasted and my DAD died across the hall.

Yeah I thought it may have been my Dad but he was a good man and wouldn't have said that. He hasn't in the past up until yesterday.

About a year and a half ago I had a house guest who was living in the basement, he had an infrared camera set up watching half the basement.

He swears up and down that he saw a woman waving her arms. To begin with he thought it was me coming down the stairs but it wasn't me. I was no where around at the time, although maybe about 20 minute later I did go down the stairs.
ANd then he told me about it.

I washes it off as my Moms ghost folding laundry.

But then again he was a fucking meth head at the time.

He will still bring it up some time as if it made a big impression on him.

Personally I have never seen a ghost.

Heh he
