I watched a "documentary" on ghosts of children. It included some deserted places that had been orphanages. Quite sad. Very sad.

Did you experience any of these other things besides the body paralysis?

Yes, while I was paralyzed there was definitely a ringing noise in my head. The scariest part was the strong pressure I was feeling all over my body.

Had to leave for awhile - phone call so my ac # will be different. I'm the one who asked you about the other symptoms.

It sounds like it may be a beckoning for a vision quest. When they happen spontaneously and you are not prepared it can be a frightful experience.

Some people seek vision quests and are prepared if it does happen, most taking drugs to be able to do so. But it is possible to happen spontaneously without drugs. I question the reality of the drug induced vision quests.

Not to be afraid if you can maintain control though. My best advise to you would be to study vision quests to be best prepared in case the beckoning spirit is successful. You will never regret the experience if you are prepared. You will be shown things and given knowledge and insight to many things.

They are most often initiated by higher, pure spirits from the higher planes (not demons) but you can also run into demons as you travel the astral planes. If you have a spontaneous vision quest and are totally out of control it will attract them. They are attracted to your fear. They can't hurt you if you know how to handle them. If you don't know how to confront them they can hurt you both mentally and physically.

After you study vision quests seek the advise of a medicine man but make sure he is a genuine medicine man and not one trying to sell a book on the net.

You will learn and see things that will change your reality of this life forever.

Use to live in a very large, but old home, and several people (including spouse's relatives) died in this house.

Would see shadow people alllll the time, as did other members of the family. It was creepy at times, but never did I feel they would harm me or my family.

Yep, I saw my grandfather sitting on his bed, smiling at me and waggling his fingers.

Trouble is, he died about three hours earlier, his body was on the bed and shrouded with sheets, yet there he was for a brief instant, sitting there as bold as life, saying farewell.

Interesting...I'll definitely do some research. If it ever happens again, I guess I just gotta control my emotions and see where it takes me. Easier said than done though! Thanks for the input :)

No, it really didn't frighten me. In fact, I smiled back at him and looked away. When I turned back, he was gone.

Nothing of this sort really frightens me.

He is the only one I have ever seen, but I lived in an old house where the woman who died there would walk through the house at night. You could hear her footsteps on the old linoleum, and the cats would get fascinated with unseen things.

I've had all sorts of strange things happen all my life, but nothing really bad.

I am not having fun worrying about evacuating my house in these firestorms, however. :-(

Wow! that is so cool. You don't sound like it frightened you. That's a good thing because I think that appearing to us takes up much of their energy, not all can do it.

Those that do are giving us a tremendous gift. They are letting us know that there is something after this life and that they are o.k.

I was never afraid of death after my first experience of seeing a loved one. What a gift they give!

Re: Anyone ever see a ghost?Quote

I've had a couple of experiences.
1. I lost a baby in a late term miscarriage. On what would have been apx. the baby's 1st birthday, I felt a kiss on my face, a 'hug' and could smell ...a baby smell that was a combination of my and my husbands. I felt nothing but happy. In retrospect - it was weird.

2, a dear friend of mine died of cancer, a few weeks later I had the most vivid dream I've ever had. It was of her and she was telling me she was fine etc. she told me a lot of things and I sadly don't remember them now, though I know they were significant. To this day I am 100% convinced that was no dream.

3. when I was about 6, my family visited a castle in yugoslavia (I don't know what the fuck it's called now). I thought I saw a bride hurrying down a garden path. I told my parents, they thought I was just yammering on about fairy tales (which I loved) but the picture of the garden path has an inexplicable white smudge.

Re: Anyone ever see a ghost?Quote

I hear them.

yesterday one told me to get out of "MY" house.

Well I thought that was pretty damn funny! because I've been living hear since I was a child and our family bought this house new!

Now a lot of family members have pasted and my DAD died across the hall.

Yeah I thought it may have been my Dad but he was a good man and wouldn't have said that. He hasn't in the past up until yesterday.

About a year and a half ago I had a house guest who was living in the basement, he had an infrared camera set up watching half the basement.

He swears up and down that he saw a woman waving her arms. To begin with he thought it was me coming down the stairs but it wasn't me. I was no where around at the time, although maybe about 20 minute later I did go down the stairs.
ANd then he told me about it.

I washes it off as my Moms ghost folding laundry.

But then again he was a fucking meth head at the time.

He will still bring it up some time as if it made a big impression on him.

Personally I have never seen a ghost.

Heh he
