I love sushi.
As a matter of fact I love sashimi and that's literally just raw fish. Can't get more primitive than that.

Why the Japanese sushi gets the cred? Because they're the only ones that natively eat that, despite the fact any nation with fish could easily replicate. Recipe complexity is irrelevant.

That said, there're plenty of other dishes. Most that I like. Some that I don't. Presentation is great though. Different, but good on photos. So that's why it gets so much cred.

My favorite is Italian.
Most overrated is French. There're some good dishes and the bread is decent but for most part it's overpriced and over complicated crap.
