Many of the new Olympic buildings are reminiscent of space ships, of flying saucers, of UFOs and of science fiction generally. The centers outside of the Olympic Green, often hidden away on rambling university campuses, are clad with various light alloys or are finished as though they were sealed, often windowless, smooth and closed. The buildings, which are often round and often have no angles, are to the new Chinese National Theater in the center of Beijing (the controversial “Egg” designed by French architect Paul Andreu) like satellites to a mother ship. They offer little resistance and they show little face.

This also applies to the two gymnasiums in the Tongzhou district, southeast of the center, on the Peking University of Technology campus. These buildings are reminiscent of melting golf balls, in which badminton and rhythmic gymnastics will be the order of the day. A UFO has also landed northwest of the center, on the Beihang University campus, where a cheerful aluminum building has been provided for the weightlifters.

But the good news, and that’s what it’s all about, is that Beijing is ready.

To me, it seems there is quite a significant amount of circumstantial (at the very least) evidence that perhaps could lead to a totally new understanding and interpretation of the human species history.

Perhaps a 'Trans-evolutionary Model of Human Development through Periodic Guided Intervention".

I think our story of ourselves, going all the way back to babylon may have been inverted. If our language was split, or vowels introduced; I think a strong case could be made for this.

Cause here is the way I am seeing things, there are at least three groups that have 'Guided/Distorted' humanity (but there may be more). When you get down to it, none one of them are 'GODS'; they may be creator/destroyer level beings - like our own selves though.

The first group or representative I can find who seems to have been involved in 'domestication/subversion' of humans is one who is regarded as 'Pashupati".

Pashupati is the 'HORNED GOD' of the Indus valley (and Europe), historically; it is where he made his initial appearance. As far as has been determined by the information I can find.

I don't think these translations are quite correct, and seeing as Indus Valley Script hasn't been adequately deciphered - as far as I can tell (via the web).

What I think is that root racially, the human species is of Lyran origin. Lyra has many offshoots (Pleiades, Sirius), but the human species root racial heritage is Lyran. I am almost positive of this.

So basically what I am going to do is exteriorize the internal exploration I have been going through over past couple of years. I really have been trying hard to come to terms with things, and gain greater understanding and compassion.

I really want to understand things regarding the human species and our position and role within the scheme of things.

I need clarity and guidance, I think we all do. I haven't really found anywhere in my life where I felt I belonged.

After I had UFO fly directly over my head in 1995, and give me a visual image; my whole life pretty much has been ruined.

I think there are significant discrepancies that exist in our understanding of ourselves and our own history.

I think for this reason, we are recreating events that have occurred previously.

A few years ago, I had an experience that I can only describe as being a 'Spiritual Baptism'. I have never had anything quite like it occur before, although I have had a great many ancestral memories in my time.

AN audio recording of a pilot who saw an unidentified flying object 17 years ago in Shanghai was revealed at the weekend.

The tape was recorded in the cockpit of flight 3556 from Shanghai to Ji'nan, Shandong Province at 6:15pm on March 18, 1991. Numerous people in Shanghai reported seeing the UFO fly over the city's northwest, and it was seen by witnesses in Wuxi, neighboring Jiangsu Province.

The dialogue between the pilot and control tower was released at a UFO forum on Saturday in Shanghai, the Nanjing-based Jinling Evening News reported.

From 6:12pm to 6:26pm, the UFO followed the flight, varying its form, velocity and altitude, the tape revealed. Flight controllers urged the pilot to change routes several times to avoid colliding with it, according to the newspaper.

The control tower saw the orange flying object first but no trace of the UFO was recorded by airport radar, the newspaper said.

"I saw an unidentified flying object 7 nautical miles away in front of me after taking off. I was heading to 280 degrees and the object was like a ball of fire, about 3 to 5 meters long," said the pilot on tape.

"It was flying fast toward the northeast and flew further away after I swung to the left. It then turned around and headed toward 100 degrees south, and lowered its altitude.

"I tried to avoid it while it changed its route to the north, when it transformed itself into a long black object and again lowered altitude before rising. It then appeared as a black rectangle and a round ball flying first to the northeast, then the northwest, before rising again."

Nineteen UFOs have been seen in China since 1971, Wang Sichao, a researcher at Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing, said at the forum.

My Spiritual Baptism by "Fire"

What I have to say to this is that if you believe this to be true, please consider my words to be an inquiry into the truth. If what the truth is, or may be, or perhaps what it isn't can not be discussed; well maybe there is not any hope for this world.

I think that is one of the most important areas of inquiry we can make. There are a great many deceptions that have been underway for great lengths of time upon this planet. I think we as humans are as much responsible for their perpetuation as what many believe in as being god or any other outside force we may try to blame. I mean this in the sense of how each of us as an individual views ourselves as well as each other.

The human species has variated racial characteristic differences. To me this is something that is extremely significant and needs to be explored. It shouldn't be utilized in a manner to 'trumpet' ultrantionalism or racial fascism.

I don't know what the truth is, and we are told that the answers exist within ourselves.

View me as a 'False Prophet' or at the very least up until this point, a 'Failed Visionary'. This being the case, I do ask you to please take my words and view to heart, but don't consider them to be anything beyond each of our capabilities to understand. I am putting forth my perspective for multiple reasons, some of them are self serving; in other regards - I think each of us in our deepest of regions has a heart for all of humanity.

I encourage being forthright, taking a stand, if not against those who currently hold onto seats of power - people need to honestly and really let their Governments know where they stand. We are the United States of America, it is not some 'British-Israeli' shell corporation.

I think the United States Governments Foreign Policy is, if not in violation of a number of International Law Charters; in volation with what probably could be viewed as 'Universal Laws' that govern the cosmos.

The United States Government & Israel are going to use technologies 100x more advanced on a country that they are trying to tell can not have that technology. Ancient crashed UFO claimed to be from dinosaur age, 150 million years ago

News released today about a secret U.S. Government project to analyze an allegedly extraterrestrial craft has a unique twist.

This craft did not crash in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico.

According to the anonymous sources, it crashed approximately 150 million years ago during the age of the dinosaurs.

This information has been posted on the SERPO.org Web site, home to other reports about extraterrestrial visitation reportedly provided by current and former officials of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

The conduit for the information is Victor Martinez, the moderator of an e-mail “stream” information service that focuses on topics related to anomalous phenomena. Martinez has reportedly worked for several U.S. Government agencies.

In late 2005, Martinez wrote that these DIA sources had reached out to him to reveal information about “Project SERPO,” a later code name for a secret “exchange program” in the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s between a small team of American military personnel and extraterrestrial visitors who had established contact with the U.S. Government.

Other information reportedly provided by these sources noted that the U.S. Government maintains records collected by both U.S. officials and a race of extraterrestrials that notes visitation to Earth in ancient times.

The most recent information report from the anonymous sources via Martinez makes the claim that “A highly classified, sensitive operation with far-reaching national security implications that took place in 1968.”

ET VISITATION IN DINOSAUR AGE

“A [redacted] archaeological team uncovered a large metallic object in a remote area of southern [redacted] which is a close NATO ally of ours,” according to Martinez’ anonymous sources.

The sources also reportedly told Martinez, “The object was believed to be an alien spacecraft that had crashed approximately 200 million years ago according to the archaeological team. The site subsequently was examined by a USAF recovery team, which then put the age of the alien craft at approximately 150 million years ago.”

As fantastic as this sounds, it is not inconsistent with other speculation that if extraterrestrial visitors have been coming to Earth in recent decades, it is possible they visited in previous centuries and in the far-distant past.

Martinez reports that his sources stated, “Our scientists used the absolute dating method employing decaying radioactive isotopes. Sedimentary rock formations and the fact that the object was embedded into the rock were used to estimate the age of the alien craft.”

“The alien craft itself was 45 feet in diameter,” the sources continued. “The craft was transported to the State of [redacted] and then to the giant [redacted] lab complex in [redacted] and opened.”

“The alien craft contained two highly decomposed alien bodies and decayed animals, which were apparently abducted by these alien beings. The animals were small dinosaurs on board the alien craft.”

ANALYZING THE CRAFT

Martinez states that his sources provided the following information: “The craft was stored at [redacted] and years of intense research were conducted. The last time I checked, the research team ruled out the craft being of Eben origin.”

“Eben” is a name allegedly given to an ET culture who have visited Earth from the Zeta Reticuli star system, were the group who crashed in Roswell and the beings with whom the U.S. shared the exchange program.

The anonymous sources allegedly added, “However, no one could tell where it came from. The alien bodies were far too decomposed to be thoroughly examined. They were about 5 feet tall and had very large, bulbous heads.”

“To the best of my knowledge, 'Operation [redacted]' is still an ongoing project. I personally worked on the operation in the early '70s.”

“The instruments from the craft were interesting because they were made of small crystal-like devices, wired together with a form of very fine wire.”

“The alien propulsion system contained a large chamber with what we called ‘rocks’ (obviously some form of energy) in the chamber. Large vents placed around the chamber vented some sort of power, radiation or some form of tremendous energy generated through the vents and into the propulsion chamber which enabled interstellar space travel.”

The anonymous sources claimed, “Examination of the rocks found zinc, and several unknown materials and alloys which we still cannot identify to this day. The ‘rocks’ obviously lost all of their energy over the years. They were not radioactive nor did they contain any special properties. We could never power up the alien craft in the nearly 40 years we've had possession of it.”

“We could not locate the actual power system and therefore could never operate any of the equipment contained within the craft. However, we did find a 'star chart.' The chart was created from outside of the Earth on the alien home world.”

“To this day, we have been unable to read and decipher the alien star chart. The star chart was of a deep area of space, but our scientists haven't been able to find that specific area of space.”

“ … the amazing … alien technology on this craft has similarly stumped us; while some progress has been made on it since 1968, it's been minimal (partially due to the poor, degraded condition of the alien craft).”

BOGGLES THE MIND

In the posting on SERPO.org and in his e-mail stream, Martinez and his anonymous sources reflect on the implications of what a discovery of this nature means.

“Anonymous” writes, “… the existence of alien civilizations who had already achieved space traveling capabilities zipping around the Milky Way Galaxy (and perhaps others) truly boggles the mind.”

“The Ebens were perhaps still in their ‘galactic diapers’ when these alien beings were already visiting other worlds –150-200 MYA [million years ago] and Homo sapiens did not even exist!”

“One can only wonder and speculate where a civilization – that had already achieved interstellar space travel – would be at today technologically from 150-200 MYA!"

Anonymous and Martinez continued their speculation with Anonymous allegedly stating: “How many star systems have they visited by now? How many other alien civilizations have they made successful contact and interacted with, and perhaps carry on some sort of trade with? How many solar systems have they visited and mapped out in our Milky Way Galaxy and perhaps those of other galaxies?”

“One also has to consider the possibility that rather than this crash having occurred in our timeline of 150-200 MYA, these alien beings traveled to Earth from the future to our distant past – when dinosaurs ruled – as part of a research mission ... that also boggles the mind!” Anonymous said, according to Martinez.

As with all of the Project SERPO information, this latest chapter will surely provoke discussion, doubts about its truthfulness and trigger the imaginations of many readers.

Is it true? Is it some kind of disinformation or phony claim? Is there some truth hidden within inaccurate information?

Is it part of an “acclimation” program to prepare Americans and the human race for the awareness of very interesting and surprising information?

At present, it is not possible for most readers to confirm the truthfulness of the statements Anonymous is reportedly making to Martinez and Martinez is passing on to the public.

What may be helpful for our perspectives, however, is considering that if extraterrestrial visitation to Earth is a reality, then it could have been occurring in time frames beyond what we might have previously thought.

Yellow Sea turns to pea (soup that is). The Olympics red tide could not have come at a worse time.

With less than six weeks before it plays host to the Olympic sailing regatta, the city of Qingdao has mobilized thousands of people and an armada of small boats to clean up an algae bloom that is choking large stretches of the coastline and threatening to impede the Olympic competition, the International Herald Tribune reported on Monday.

20,000 people have either volunteered or.....more likely.....been forced to scoop up the green algae in order to rid the red tide in time for the 2008 Summer Olympics.

"We will make all our efforts to finish this job," said a propaganda official in Qingdao. "Now, forces from the entire province have become involved." He said ships and boats had been sent from two other coastal cities, Rizhao and Yantai, to help haul away the algae.

Yuan Zhiping, an official with the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Committee, said Sunday that the government would attempt to block algae from floating into the Olympic sailing area by installing a fenced perimeter in the sea that is more than 50 kilometers, or 30 miles, long.

"I believe we will make sure the Olympics sailing area is clean by July 15 through our efforts, and make sure the Olympics sailing goes smoothly," Yuan said, according to the Shandong News Web site.

"Red tide" is a common name for a phenomenon known as an algal bloom, an event in which estuarine, marine, or fresh water algae accumulate rapidly in the water column, or "bloom". These algae, more specifically phytoplankton, are microscopic, single-celled protists, plant-like organisms that can form dense, visible patches near the water's surface. Certain species of phytoplankton contain photosynthetic pigments that vary in color from green to brown to red, and when the algae are present in high concentrations, the water appears to be discolored or murky, varying in color from purple to almost pink, normally being red or green.

"Red tide" is a colloquial term used to refer to a natural phenomenon known as a "harmful algal bloom" or "HAB." Since 1) a wide variety of algal species can cause a red tide, 2) red tides are not necessarily red, and many have no discoloration at all, 3) are unrelated to movements of the tides, and 4) a wide variety of algal species are known bloom-formers, the term "red tide" is being phased out among researchers in favor of the more appropriate "harmful algal bloom" for harmful species, or simply "algal bloom" for non-harmful species.

Causes of "red tide" are not entirely known but coastal water pollution produced by humans and systematic increase in sea water temperature have also been implicated as contributing factors in red tides.

Harmful algal blooms may cause harm through the production of toxins or by their accumulated biomass, which can affect co-occurring organisms and alter food-web dynamics. Impacts include human illness and mortality following consumption of or indirect exposure to HAB toxins, substantial economic losses to coastal communities and commercial fisheries, and HAB-associated fish, bird and mammal mortalities. Photographs in the Chinese media showed rickety wooden boats overflowing with green mounds of algae collected from the sea, according to the International Herald Tribune. One photo showed a young boy crouched on a beach beside piles of the leafy I suck as a dump truck carried off a large load of algae. State media reported that 100,000 tons of the algae had already been taken out of the water. Much of it was being transported to farms as feed for pigs and other animals, according to news reports.

At least you've got a little bit of nerve. I think I am done with this thread for the night, I am gonna try and sort out some more components to what I believe truly is the biggest story of the early 21st Century.

There are alot of points of view I hope to be able to cover in this thread over the next month or so - leading up to the Olympics.

Paris calls for military angle to space strategy

The European Union should develop a military element to its space activities to counter growing security threats, according to proposals drawn up by France.

Paris, which today takes over the EU presidency, says Europe must counter threats from conventional military powers as well as terrorism. To do so it needs to add a "political and security dimension" to European space policy, according to documents sent to EU governments ahead of a meeting later this month in French Guiana, home to the European launch pad.

"In Europe, space policy has always been motivated by scientific and technical reasons. The US, Russia, China and so on are motivated by politics. Even so, Europe is the second- or third-biggest space power in the world. Using political drive as well, it would be even more powerful," said a European diplomat familiar with the plans.

French ambitions range from setting up an EU spy satellite system to joining a manned US mission to Mars.

Paris wants to exploit synergies with existing civilian space projects. For example, Galileo, the €3.4bn ($5.4bn, £2.7bn) rival to the UScontrolled global positioning system, is classed as a transport project, although it could be used for military operations.

The Paris-based European Space Agency, which controls the space programme and whose members include Norway and Switzerland as well as 15 EU member states, said it was working "hand-in-hand" on the strategy.

Franco Banacina, ESA spokesman, said a board meeting in November would map "new programmes that take into account new dimensions in which we will be working, like security and defence". The agency wants to boost its €2.8bn budget.

There was no question of amending the body's statutes that restrict it to peaceful activity, he said. "We are not talking about star wars."

China, US agree to further strengthen ties

US Secretary of State Condolezza Rice has wrapped up her fifth visit to China, after meeting with top Chinese leaders here in Beijing. Rice's two-day visit was brief but fruitful.

Rice's visit comes at a significant time, as China and the United States are both preparing for events which have global importance.

China is gearing up for the summer Olympics, and the United States will hold presidential elections later this year.

During his meeting with Condoleezza Rice, Chinese President Hu Jintao said Sino-US ties are at a "crucial stage". The president said China will continue to develop its constructive relationship with the US, no matter what changes there may be in the United States and internationally.

Hu Jintao said dialogue and exchanges should be increased to promote trust and cooperation between the two sides.

Rice agreed with Hu Jintao's comments on the positive trend in Sino-US ties, and said President George W. Bush will push ties forward in the final part of his term. She said the US will also work with China on six-party talks to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, and noted the recent breakthrough.

She also reaffirmed the US's adherence to the One-China policy, and expressed her good wishes for the Beijing Olympics, which President Bush will attend.

During his talks with Rice, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao thanked the US for its assistance after the Sichuan earthquake. Rice is the highest ranked US official to have visited the quake zone. She spent several hours in Sichuan province on Sunday. Rice said she is impressed by the recovery efforts and the spirit of the Chinese people, and said the US will provide aid and support for the future reconstruction work.

Both sides agreed to work towards overcoming current economic difficulties and challenges, and resolve differences in trade and economy through dialogue.

There have been frequent high level exchanges between China and the US this year. The countries' leaders will have further exchanges on issues of common concern at the G8 summit and dialogue in July.

UFO watches over Roman soldiers

Tuesday, 3.15pm - A UFO was caught on camera over Ancaster at the weekend.

Colin Mitchell of Wilsford Lane, Ancaster, was taking pictures of the Roman Festival on his digital camera but didn't spot the sky craft at first.

It was only when he got home that he and his wife Elaine saw the mysterious object in their picture hovering over houses.

Elaine said: "We just noticed it when we came to look at the picture but we have no idea what it was.

"Maybe someone else can tell us what it might have been."

Navy engineer sees UFO on the motorway

Michael Madden, a 25-year-old, navy aircraft engineer, watched in disbelief as flying disc flew with an incredible speed for up to three minutes above junction 21, near Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.when he was returning to Yeovilton base from Manchester with workmate Michael Casson, 22, at 9.50pm on Sunday. He further explained that it was not just a regular plane he had seen in his life. It was a circular disc which was glowing bright, hovering hundreds of metres up. It looked like alien aircraft in the films and it had an antenna fixed to the back.

Another UFO story reported by Osborne family in Basingstoke. David Osborne, 47 who captured the unearthly phenomenon on video told the sun that he was trembling all over as he sees craft drifted across the sky, switching from a delta formation, to a random pattern, then an arched line and a triangle before disappearing. David whose daughters Natalie, 20, and Charlotte, 18, were also left awestruck, said There were about 12 of these orange-coloured spherical objects and they were changing formation in the sky for half an hour.

Neighbour Debbie Bucksey, 46, said she thought they might be fireworks but then the lights started switching formation. Her daughter Rachel, 16, described the UFOs as looking like upside down tears. Trucker Reg Lockyer, 47, claimed he saw up to twenty of them and he thought it was absolutely a fleet of UFOs.

The National Air Traffic Service has confirmed it had no recorded incidents that night.

Jane Johnston, spokesperson for the NATS, said there was nothing unusual reported that night that was reported that would necessitate logging it.

Madden’s claim follows a string of recent UFO sightings.

On June 7, three soldiers claimed that they saw 13 UFOs while on night patrol at Tern Hill military barracks near Market Drayton, Shropshire.

That sighting came just two hours before helicopter police officers reported an encounter with a huge craft 80 miles away near Cardiff.

They claimed to have given chase to the flying saucer-shaped object after it almost collided with their aircraft near the Ministry of Defence base of St Athan. (ANI)

Awesome or Off-Putting is a weekly delve into cryptozoology, ufology, aliens, medical marvels, scientific wonders, secret societies, government conspiracies, cults, ghosts, EVPs, myths, ancient artifacts, religion, strange facts, odd sightings or just the plain unexplainable.

In today's world, it's not uncommon to talk about human beings orbiting the earth, walking on the moon or sometimes somebody who's done that kind of stuff driving cross country in diapers to possibly murder her boyfriend's true love. A long time ago though - say hundreds or thousands of years - mankind must have thought the only thing living way up in the heavens was God himself.

Except for the people who already knew of mortals flying beyond the stratosphere. They'd not be surprised by our space-flight accomplishments at all. There's allegedly evidence that some people cite to prove astronauts were around a long, long time ago.

Some might argue that at least hundreds of years ago our ancestors cruised through outer space in crude, wooden spaceships powered by either sail or steam. Most would argue that we made that up just now.

There really are, though, vocal proponents that argue for something called an 'Ancient Astronaut' theory. They cite quite a bit of evidence for this too. Of course none of the evidence is so grand it will knock you on your duff, proving once and for all that cavemen knew how to make oxygen tanks - compiled, however, it does make a thought-provoking list.


Wikipedia sums up part of the 'pro' arguments:

"Proponents of ancient astronaut theories point to what they perceive as gaps in historical and archaeological records and also what they see as an absence of definitive explanations in certain contexts from the archaeological sciences. Advocates of these theories put forward as evidence their interpretations of various archaeological artifacts, which they deem to have been anachronistic or beyond the presumed technical capabilities of the historical cultures they are associated with. Another common theme relies upon the interpretation of depictions in certain ancient artworks as being representations of actual extraterrestrial visitors as realized by the contacted cultures."

Some of the artwork talked about there are just anciently drawn pictures or sculptures that in retrospect, look an awful lot like today's basic image of an astronaut. Examples of this can be found in some giant Italian landscape-paintings from around 10,000 BC that seem to depict two beings wearing a circular helmet, or in 'the Great Martian Gods,' which is a picture drawn in the Saharan Desert floor of a gigantic cyclops surrounded by what looks like disk-shaped UFOs.

The alleged ancient visitations resulted in more than just pictures - the greater portion of the ancient Astronaut theories would seem to be that we are the end result. A long time ago either our ancestors or our owners came to earth, then left us behind.

Again, Wikipedia has the skinny:

"Ancient astronaut adherents often claim that humans are either descendants or creations of beings who landed on Earth millennia ago. An associated theory is that much of human knowledge, religion and culture came from extraterrestrial visitors in ancient times: ancient astronauts acted as a “mother culture.”"

So our folks basically left us, but check in from time to time to make sure we're not at each other's throats. But of course we are at each others throats, so they're not doing a very good job.

Perhaps we are a grand experiment being studied from afar, planted here ages ago for the sole purpose of seeing the evolution of consciousness and what its development makes us do.

Or perhaps really ancient people were just into sci-fi too.

They probably had a Roddenberry in a moose-skin or something. Yes, it's all clear to us now.

Amateur sleuth solves puzzle of ancient bronzes
