He’s commodifying the Bible during Holy Week, that he’s selling it for $60, and this money might go to pay some of the legal fees for his relationship with a porn star that he paid off. You know, let us pray here.

"A Total Scam"– Trump's Endorsed Bible Has a History of Negative Reviews

The new Trump-endorsed God Bless the USA Bible isn't actually new. It was announced by Lee Greenwood in 2021 and was marketed as commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11. It was also first marketed at $49.99.

The God Bless the USA Bible was originally going to be in the New International Version, a popular version in the United States, but switched over to the royalty free King James Version after Bible publisher Zondervan backed out after controversy. Many Christians took issue with wrapping the Bible in a nation's flag and including nationalistic documents alongside it in a single volume.

It's unclear if the move by Zondervan or other constraints caused issues, but Google reviews reveal several dissatisfied customers who purchased Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA Bible. Many of them were waiting for the orders to be fulfilled and left 1 star reviews.

Another person complained that they ordered the God Bless the USA Bible for their wife and it "looked good on the outside, but on the inside the margins were way off." This is an indication of poor product quality. A few others were happy with their purchase, but many people complained about the extended shipping delays.

Some were upset that their God Bless the USA Bibles didn't arrive before Christmas. Frank Cherichella asked if this was a "scam" and he would "hate to think that of Lee Greenwood." Another person who was charged for 3 Bibles wrote a review the day after Christmas: "At the best bad service at the worse a total scam."

Review: "Very disappointed. 12/26 no books, no notice, no response. At the best bad at the worse a total scam."

Another reviewer attempted to return the God Bless the USA Bible and couldn't get any response from customer service and said their phone line states there is restriction on it that keeps calls from being placed.

Now that Trump is on board and has endorsed Greenwood's God Bless the USA Bible, for a cut of course, will he be ready to scale up his business? Past ads have called the God Bless the USA Bible "limited edition" but these are numbered and there wasn't an announced production amount. Meaning, they will probably keep selling them as long as there is demand.

What a load of liberal Bullshit! When I searched Amazon for the "Lee Greenwood God Bless the USA Bible" I found this:

The only edition that appeared was called the "American Patriot's Bible" a NKJV version first published by Thomas Nelson in 2009. So it appears that in 2021 Greenwood contracted to republish a similar edition under his own name. The 1568-page patriot's edition features the complete NKJV text, plus the story of America's founding in 254 articles that include historical U.S. documents among the text. The original published price was $54.99; currently Amazon sells hardcovers for $29.08.

To date there are 1,139 customer reviews of the Patriot's Bible with an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 with many of them openly disputing the 1-star ratings others submitted.

Here's how those ratings break down: 91% = 5-stars, 5% = 4-stars, 2% = 3-stars, 1% = 2-stars and 2% = 1-star. And again, those one-star reviews are carping because they didn't think it compared to other, more expensive editions.

SO: typically, just because some asshole writes a negative review on "X" does NOT make it true!

When I visited the official "GOD BLESS THE USA BIBLE" site for this new edition, I did find that it's different than the 2009 volume. It omits the original supplemental material of the USA historical text/documents/illustrations and instead focuses on Lee Greenwood's song that has become Trump's political anthem. Included historical documents are the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Bill of Rights. There is also a handwritten chorus to Greenwood's song.

It is published in large-print so it's easy-to-read in a two-column format with the words of Jesus printed in red. Printed-on-demand, delivery takes 4-6 weeks after ordering and any books damaged in shipment will be replaced free of charge.

Most importantly is this declaration on the website:

NO PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THIS BIBLE GO TO THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN AND IN NO WAY DOES PRESIDENT TRUMP OWN, MANAGE OR CONTROL THE PUBLISHING/SALE OF THIS BIBLE.

One MORE thing: the nasty review posted above comes from "Meidastouch" which is a SUBSIDIARY of MSN.com. so it's not surprising that he negativity originated and is being pushed by the fake news media that openly despise anything Donald Trump endorses.

You just confirmed what the article said.

“ It was announced by Lee Greenwood in 2021 and was marketed as commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11. It was also first marketed at $49.99.”

And yes, Trump does make money off of this by licensing his name and endorsement and also doing commercials for them. They are being sold through the same West Palm Beach shell company, CIC Ventures LLC, that sells his NFTs and gold sneakers.

CIC Ventures LLC, a company that Trump reported owning in his 2023 financial disclosure, has a similar arrangement with 45Footwear, which also says it uses Trump’s “name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.”

No, I did not. The media implication is that money from the sale of this Bible is going to Trump's campaign and it is not. And I couldn't find a single NEGATIVE REVIEW from a purchaser of this new edition. Can you? The greatest outcry comes from 1. the liberal media and 2. Christian groups screaming that the inclusion of patriotic documents somehow violates the separation of church/state... and even goes so far as to state that it suggests that God himself endorses the conservative movement, which is patently absurd.

As far as CIC Ventures is concerned, while they do market a few Trump-related items -including this bible volume- the bulk of Trump merchandise is sold under his own independent brand out of his online "Trump Store" where all of the merchandise is exclusive. And this is common practice in any celebrity line of merchandise whether it's Air Jordans, high-end George Clooney Vodka or Karsdashian cosmetics.

And it's also the Trump brand that forms the crux of the NY criminal case against him where Prosecutor's insist he over-valued his assets. They deceptively only focused on his real estate holdings and IGNORED his personal brand which has an incalculable value due to purchasing trends of the public. And THIS is what Trump's defense team is rightfully claiming to be an unfair exclusionary focus.

Why don’t you just admit it? You’re just making excuses.

This is another of Trump’s money making schemes running through his CIC Ventures while he gets paid for his name and endorsement. This time, he is monetizing the Holy Bible on Easter week and his Trump Bible even adds material that has nothing to do with the Bible or the word of Christ. And it’s just a rerun of Lee Greenwood’s Bible monetization from 2021.

I’d be ashamed too, so it’s understandable you want to gaslight it.

It’s a money scheme for Trump pure and simple. Ok fine, sell $400 gold spray painted sneakers to the dumb rubes. But adding content to the Bible and turning a profit off it at Easter is disgraceful.

Re: TRUMP’S NEW GRIFT: Now he’s got a Bible scheme - the $60 “God Bless America Bible”. Here’s his video advertisement.
The promoted Bible has not only the standard books, but also a few additions including the Constitution (“which I’m fighting for every single day very hard,” Trump says in a video attached to the post), the Pledge of Allegiance and, as the webpage touts, the “[h]andwritten chorus to ‘God Bless The USA’ by Lee Greenwood.” It was originally slated for release in 2021, but an outcry from a number of prominent Christians derailed the rollout.

CIC Ventures, though, is a conduit to Trump — personally, if not politically. In his financial disclosure released last year, he’s identified as the company’s “manager, president, secretary and treasurer” and the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust is identified as a 100 percent owner of the business. The same entity also receives royalties from his book “A MAGA Journey” and speaking engagements. A person familiar with the agreement confirmed that Trump earns royalties from purchases.

In retrospect, we might have predicted this particular business venture.

First, Trump has increasingly branched out on his endorsement gigs, slapping his name or likeness on sneakers and NFTs in addition to campaign merchandise. He is in a cash crunch — personally and politically — and has been unafraid throughout his career to put the Trump name on anything that might yield a stream of revenue.

But, second, Trump has mined right-wing religiosity consistently for political support and political contributions. Why not branch out into private-sector benefits?

Again, you're LYING THROUGH YOUR TEETH when you state that CIC Ventures is just another money-making venture for Trump. Do you even know what a revocable trust means? I'd suggest you research that before you go any further. They are merely corporate contractors handling the sell of a few pieces of merchandise he endorses and nothing more... and under his endorsement contract he can pull the plug on any product anytime he chooses.

I also notice that you are obfuscating this issue by dragging "Holy week" into it... would you feel differently if he'd begun taking orders prior to Mother's Day? Of course not... since your agenda is quite clear. [u

It's also worth mentioning that NOBODY holds the copyright on the Bible itself which is why there are editions such as the "Urban Bible" that changes all of the text to vulgar street slang and the "Vulcan Bible" which uses the mythical language from STAR TREK for the text. Do you also disapprove of them as well since they certainly pervert the content to appeal to a specific demographic?

Or does the message still transcend the translation as it has since Gutenberg cranked out his edition in 1454?

“GodBlessTheUSABible.com uses Donald J. Trump’s name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.”

Again, you are WRONG. This time regarding the copyright of the Bible.

I stated that there is no copyright on the BIBLE ITSELF and this is true. What can be copywritten are individual editions of varying translations, whether they are the Vulgate, Douay-Reimes, Wycliffe, Scholfield, Tynedale, Urban or Vulcan volumes! But the actual TEXT of the Bible is in the public-domain and always has been.

BTW: the sources cited above -the Washington Post and the Winnipeg Free Press- both use AI algorithms to write their articles and those algorithms further determine what is published. Just because they make lofty claims about impartial reporting does NOT make it true, particularly when it comes to the WAPO.

Now then: let's return to Trump receiving any compensation for his endorsement. As I mentioned earlier, BRANDING is one of the most common business practices in the world and is used by notable people all around the world from athletes, actors and actresses to authors, scientists and doctors to politicians and even the clergy. These are people who've spent their lives working in their respective fields to the point that they achieve widespread recognition among the public... a public who believes in them enough to consider that if they say a product is good, they can be believed. Joe Namath hustles Medicare insurance and Tom Selleck his mortgage options and any number of sports stars hawk everything from Viagra to sports cars and yet TRUMP ISN'T ALLOWED TO DO THE SAME THING?

Who the fuck are you to say he can't endorse a Holy Bible??

And it goes beyond individuals, since for nearly 100 years PRODUCT PLACEMENT has been a staple in Hollywood movies and TV shows where Coca-Cola -or virtually any name brand- gets paid royalties if their products, labels or signage appear onscreen. That's what REGISTERED TRADEMARKS are all about and why those brands are so protected. And even governmental agencies get into the act as well: the USPS routinely denies films from displaying their logos -on everything from costumed uniforms to trucks to even even mailboxes. And, the U.S. military has a similar long tradition of allowing/denying onscreen depictions of their hardware and procedures to the point that their official endorsement can make or break a moviespam GUN and any number of popular titles come to mind as that all-important end credit that states the movie was made "with their cooperation." Every single word of dialogue in a script is gone over with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that the "proper image" is maintained at that nothing shown will reflect negatively on their endorsement.

But again: TRUMP ISN'T ALLOWED to endorse a Holy Bible?

So, go ahead hotshot: EXPLAIN THAT OBVIOUS DOUBLE-STANDARD -and better yet- try to justify it!
