A loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter

I'm sure some of you are of my generation and remember this from Sesame Street. I thought it would be fun to post past and present prices for these items to track grocery price increases.

The very cheapest here in my area of KY (in dollars):

Bread .89 (Kroger el'cheapo)
Milk 1.99 (Aldi's is awesome)
Butter 2.50 (real)

Total=$5.38 (we are fortunate to have low grocery prices).

Anybody know what these would have been back when? What about where you live?
