Why does everything always come down to playing the "Plantation Card"? Maybe after we freed the slaves, we should have put them all on a reservation in the most desolate part of Arizona, or maybe Death Valley. Then we could have still supported them, but kept them hidden and controlled. I never hear the "Reservation Card" being played. Successful Native Americans (Otherwise known as American Indians) leave the reservation. They assimilate into society and couldn't care less what race anyone else thinks they are. They are proud Indians. Pride is internal. Not publicized, or victimized. The Hawaiians are basically the same. The difference is that usually when you see them, your visiting their Islands, and you want to see their culture. This is changing because real estate has gotten so outragious that young Hawaiians have to move to the mainland to realize the "American Dream". And no, they don't play the "Island Card". They are also PROUD, not victims.
