Well I dont need to figure it out, Jackson explained it very well on media outlets that allow that sort of thing.

It is a familair refrain and by your post I'll assume you already know it. Basically a political response to crime and family breakdown should be addressing the root causes, not resorting to a paternalistic lecture to an entire group of people.

So what is your view on his complaint? Do you think personal responsibility is an individual responsibility or a community one. If the latter, Why? Would you say the same for a perceived inclination of all white folks to mass violence, fraud, crass materialism and greed? Would a church lecture to white parishiners to get their act together be an appropriate way to say such a thing? Wouldnt it be better to address the education system, TV violence, commercialism and unsustainable debts pushed by banks? That's how Jackson addresses the issue of the problems facing the black community, and is IMO much more appropriate.

Why does everything always come down to playing the "Plantation Card"? Maybe after we freed the slaves, we should have put them all on a reservation in the most desolate part of Arizona, or maybe Death Valley. Then we could have still supported them, but kept them hidden and controlled. I never hear the "Reservation Card" being played.
