Seems to me alot of people are focusing on the August 2008 period as an escalation of change. If things start to get really weird, certain synchronicitys occur, and the economy plunges ever deeper into despair then you will know the game is on!

I heard this exact same statement from a friend of mine just the other day. She said it out of nowhere and couldn't say where she heard it from. I thought it was BS, but lately it seems like everyone I know is going through some crisis or life-changing event. I'm starting to think there might be something to it.

Every year, I make up a saying that describes the year. This year is the first time I've said something that didn't rhyme...


We ARE in the "end times", imo.

We've got until 2012 to get ourselves set up...in whatever way works for each person.

It's happening to everyone who is a "real" person. By that, I mean those who recognize that there's more to life than McMansions and American Idol.

I see that happening in my social network and I wonder how many other people are going through some major changes right now. I really believe it's something that goes beyond the individual. Like I told another friend (who just went through a week I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy) it's almost like the universe is saying "It's time to get your shit together and find out who you are."

Can somebody clear up the calendar confusion? (we are supposed to be out by a couple of years, because they only guessed at the birth of Jesus - which is 0 AD)

The best way to deal with those discrepancies is to assume that it IS happening NOW**, imo.

Very strange. I've been noticing this as well. A crisis or some sort of life-changing event affecting friends and family of mine.

Still pisses me off that it's not being televised... lol!

Well, just now on television I saw a news report about how beach towns are being hit hard, as the gas prices are reducing the people who drive out there for vacation.

If anyone knows their economic history, these are shocks that spread out over the course of years... meaning "what is to come" is not very visible right now but is on its way.

What I mean is that their economic damage then spreads out over the economy as a whole... spiraling aftershocks... very similiar to what happened with the Great Depression. The stock market may have crashed in a single day, but the real effects of that crash was not apparent until much later.

We're in the 5th night, read up on it. I have seen the changes in myself, my friends, those around me, and the world. We are only halfway through it, we shall see what the future brings. :)

I don't think people have to wait for the future to "unfold". If you've got any sense at all, you can see/feel the ripples spreading out far and wide...right now!!

There was no instant communication during The Great Depression...now we have the Internet. Makes a huge difference, imo.

I live in Bizzarro world cause in Saskatchewan its BOOMING with all the oil & natural gas exploration, Uranium exploration & mining, diamonds & gold exploration & mining, forestry, ethanol plants & agricultural prices, along with insane 'realestate'(I can never spell that word!) and coal mining for all the power plants that are exporing power to the U.S. Even the Car & truck dealerships are booming. Retail stores are booming.

If it sucks where you live come to Western Canada, primarily Saskatchewan, or go to North Dakota/Montanna in the U.S. ecause of the Bakken oil play and it's spin off wealth factory.

This so called economic windfall is only temporary, when the american economy totally collapses, Canada's system is next

Sometimes I wonder if all the hype about 2012 means it won't happen then, but I guess it works as a date, since without one we would just flounder about spending money on lounge-suites.

In 2012, it will have been 3 years after the earth pole shift.
