Not for love of GWB, but when the crap hits the fan blades they'll be splattered just as bad (if not worse) than Georgie-Boy. |

Oh, pipe down! I hate to be so bombastic (a rarity from me), but Kucinich is the one damn patriot who has a chance to make something significant happen, perhaps only symbolically, if his fellow reps and other elected officials would step up to the plate and support the resolution.
Maybe folks wouldn't be so quick to lambaste these efforts if Bush had gotten a GODDAMN BLOWJOB, fucktards!!!
IMPEACH CHENEY FIRST! |

It's not my opinion. I've read the draft of the articles of impeachment and high-ranking house democrats (including speaker Pelosi) will be implicated if this goes forward. Like I said, a waste of money because the democrats are not insane enough to sacrifice themselves to take out Bush...are they?!? |

Of course you are correct, the entirety of the US House and Congress who voted (and continues to vote) to approve funds for this 'war' of profiteering should all resign. No, it won't happen, but it's time some of them decided to stand down and let the chips fall where they may. For the betterment of humanity, not just the financial interests of the USA.
Or to quote one Greg Graffin, "What the world needs now, is some accountability...We can't buy more time...time won't accept our money."

A motion that has been referred to committee can be withdrawn by the House at any time. The House can refer to another committee or decide the question immediately. |

The motion passed, the vote was pretty much neck and neck like watching a basketball game all the way deep into the 4th quarter and overtime. The motion to reconsider was not taken up and its all over, moves into committee, where many predict it will die. Kudos to the few enlightened repubs who crossed the aisle. |

Writtings on the wall, they had no choice. The end is here and the public will eventually wake up to what these guys have done.
They had better start impeachment proceedings, cause if they don't I'd hate to be them. Although you voted for this, it does not mean you have been forgiven, when you let this get this bad and do nothing you are as bad a guilty. If a lie becomes a truth after so many years it is a McCainism |

Wouldn't THAT be nice? Well, maybe just give them a chance...one quick chance, to abolish large portions and amend the Act once the new administration takes over next year.

Subject: Finally, Maybe There Will be Action in D.C.
Capitol Hill is buzzing today with major developments regarding our campaign for impeachment hearings for President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. Just today, in what could be described as a perfect impeachment storm:
Karl Rove once again thumbed his nose at Congress and the American people by brazenly ignoring a lawful congressional subpoena to testify before the House of Representatives;
Judiciary Chairman John Conyers indicated his willingness to use the power of inherent contempt against Rove if necessary;
Rep. Dennis Kucinich introduced another article of impeachment on Bush's lies regarding the Iraq war; and
Speaker Nancy Pelosi was quoted today saying that the House Judiciary Committee should address the issues that Kucinich raises in the House Judiciary Committee.
After years of work by so many of you, the time appears ripe to finally hold Bush and Cheney accountable.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich's single impeachment article will get a committee hearing -- but not on removing President Bush from office.
The House on Tuesday voted 238-180 to send the article to the Judiciary Committee, which buried Kucinich's previous effort. The Democrat from Ohio seeks impeachment based on Bush's reasoning for taking the country to war in Iraq.
The panel will open hearings, but House Democrats emphatically say they won't be about Bush's impeachment, a first step in the Constitution's process of a removing a president from office.
Instead, the panel will conduct an election-year review -- possibly televised -- of everything Democrats consider to be Bush's abuse of power. Kucinich is likely to testify. Democrats say scholars and administration critics also will testify.
