article blames monsanto and I think we should all look into this ....they may have people killed if they try to shut them down even this article says oh my now this is nuts! please read and see what you think! The article is in this first glp section on Indias farmers are kiling themselves! I do not know how to cut copy and paste if thats how you do the listing in my next life LOL!

Many years ago a buddy of mine was working for Monsanto on their Nutra-sweet brand of Aspartame.

They (Monsanto) knew then of the health risks and multiple dangers to the public. For some, who are sensitive to the product consuming four or five diet beverages can cause PERMANENT changes to their body chemistry. For others, there is a correlation between the use of these diet products sweetened with Aspartame and depression, suicide, brain damage, heart disease, liver failure, kidney failure, and the list goes on... There are even psychics who claim that the use of this substance damages the field of light seen by them around most human beings. Maybe it's toxic to the soul as well? Far fetched, but who knows?

When my friend asked "Why keep it on the market" the response he got was that the stuff sells, per pound to soft drink bottlers (in a concentrated form) for far more than the price of either gold or platinum per ounce! The cost of manufacturing it is negligible. Pennies per pound (if that.) The profits are so incredibly high that Monsanto decided to take the risk, pay off the occasional successful lawsuit and when they do so, it's always with a confidentiality agreement that calls for forfeiture of present and future payments is the agreement is breached by any of the parties. (That effectively stops lawyers from sharing their research and the methods wherein Monsanto was sued successfully - each time round the plaintiff's attorney's have to "re-invent" the wheel so to speak) But a few suits have made it into court and have cost them plenty. However, the problem is that a judgement against them of, say 100 million dollars, isn't even a 10th of the annual income off this vile substance! They'd hardly miss the money!

Bottom line is they've been selling this shit now for over 20 years and while it's cost them a settlement here and there, the money they've raked in off of it have swollen their corporate coffers beyond belief. Monsanto and it's multiple divisions are now one of the largest multi=nationals in the world! All financed by selling poison to children and people who didn't know what they were ingesting.

The FDA was badgered, bribed, and threatened to allow this stuff to market. more than a few of the then FDA staff have become multi-millionaires off of - yep, you guessed it. MONSANTO stock!

Someone said Monsanto is the Devil. I don't think so. They're just owned and operated by him!

I don't consume anything that contains Aspartame and you'd be surprised how many people don't care! If you tell them of the dangers...they don't care.

So true, I warned an overweight peer who was trying to lose weight that aspertame actually had the opposite effect and that it actually tricks the brain into thinking the body is starving, making you consume considerably more calories than you would've just by drinking water or something sweetened with regular sugar; and that it was a known carcinogen. Then they make laws against obesity or parents with fat kids-I do not have this problem but do not believe the set up is working on many.
