Re: DMSO
I use DMSO for my arthritis.

Once a year for a week I apply it to my elbows and the pain is gone for a whole year.

I buy it at the feed store, and it says it is not safe ofr human use.

I don't care if it is disintegrating my bones, the pain is gone!

Now that you put it out in to the public, it will be banned altogether, thanks OP!

Re: DMSO
The doctors are trying to ban its use in humans already.

I just thought it was all hush hush to use it, my bad.

It works wonders as a topical agent for all sorts of pain in joints, I also use it for my neck when it gets stiff.

The smell isn't all that great but I testify about DMSO to people who complain of their arthritis.

I may have something that can help. I'll just have to take a few more. It is a good internal de-stinker. I will hold out hope.

Re: DMSO
since last Sunday. I'm also taking liquid MSM and vegan Gluchosimine (sp?). My broken finger is snaaping into place.

I hope my knnecap is changing too. I took a good hit there about 3 years ago. Slow healing, I'll know when I get kicked in it. Or block a kick. Every 5th time I felt that torn tissue above the kneecap I fell usually. I feel like I will be blocking more. I'll take the smell.

Re: DMSO
hf This appears to be a sulfa drug, for which a high number of people have deadly allergies to it. I am one who almost lost my life to sulfa given by a doctor for severe respitory problems. I looked under the spinal rehab site someone listed and that looks to be the sulpha link. Take Care and Beware! LoL!

Re: DMSO
No need to do it orally as it asorbs through the skin perfectly. Transdermal is best for may other things as well, like magnesium chloride and iodine.

Re: DMSO
Darkman, I purchased the DMSO-MSM 70% solution and the Excelsa Gel (DMSO gel) from Jacob Labs a few months ago. I chose Jacob Labs based on the simple fact that Dr. Jacobs was the leading pioneer in DMSO studies. I had done quite a bit of research on the subject and made my own determination that there was not enough evidence to support the erroneous claims that DMSO was harmful to humans and in fact, found that most of the information available actually proved that it was more beneficial in relieving aches and pains than the majority of the otc meds in your local pharmacy, such as Aleve. Aleve is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It may cause an increased risk of serious and sometimes fatal heart and blood vessel problems (eg, heart attack, stroke). Aleve may cause an increased risk of serious and sometimes fatal stomach ulcers and bleeding. Elderly patients may be at greater risk, but you don't hear that from your pharmacist, I'm sure.
I have since used up the original bottle of DMSO-MSM, and by the way, I too was taking it orally. I can honestly tell you that I realized immediate relief from the daily aches and pains in my joints and lower back and had no ill side effects from taking it. BTW, my dose was about a capful or something like a teaspoon full in a glass of water each morning. I use the Excelsa gel topically to ease the pain and soreness in my joints at the end of the day. Some of the people I have spoken with on the subject take MSM supplements without the assistance of the DMSO as a delivery agent. From what I have gathered, they seem to experience some relief from it but it's not as fast and doesn't seem to be as effective, most likely because it is being digested and expelled before it can provide the full effect.
In my opinion, go for it. If it works for you and you are getting positive results, more power to you. Good luck and God Bless.

Re: DMSO
I started taking excelsa 2 days ago, my mom wanted me to try it because I have cellulitis in my leg along with a blood clot in the same spot. This morning the red aura around the site was gone and finally minimal pain. I think I will have this in my medicinal chest for a long time!5a

Does anyone else take this orally? This is my sixth day taking it and the results are good.

I am not dead yet.

JUST because you took something and DIDN'T die, you think that's GOOD??

What 'good' things did it do for you? If nothing, then you just wasted your time and money.

Re: DMSO
I used to use it about 3 years ago to help with my ulcerative colitis
I've still got it somewhere, I would mix a spoon full with juice to hide the taste. it didn't do me any harm nor did I feel any benefits from it.
it did melt the rubber on my watch strap and stained the table.

Re: DMSO
I've successfully used DMSO Topically for injuries and spinal problems. I've never taken it orally though I did a lot fo research on it for a friend with Cancer. It does have great potential in treating certain kinds of cancer and there are several Natural Doctors that use it in their protocols. Chemotherapy targets both Natural and cancer cells thus causing a breakdown of the immune system. DMSO on the other hand target only cancer cells and leaves the Natural healthy ones alone.
