How would my life change after a global nuclear war?
Quote

It appears that Bush, and those that control him, would like to bomb Iran in the next 6 months, and I suppose this could set off a chain of events involving Israel and Russia that could result in a global nuclear war.

If you live in New York or any key city, you are probably dead or dieing. But what about if you live far from a bombed city? How does this global nuclear war effect you?

Do you still have access to functioning radio and tv stations? Is the internet still available? Is there food that you can buy in your local supermarket?

Here are some more questions. Will there be gas available at the gas station? Will Fox News still support the Republicans?
Will your local school continue to provide an education for your child?

If you live in a small, out of the way town, will your life radically change?

I doubt if many would be left alive after a global nuclear war. The nuclear winter effect would finish most of the survivors. There would be no power, water or sewerage for the majority unless self sufficient. No transport system, no fuel, pumps don't work.
Would you really want to live with a decimated radiated planet. The air would contain high levels of radioactive particles for a long time.
doom of course

You might die of thirst, radiation poisoning or an infected tooth you can't get treated and won't pull yourself, so it slowly rots and abscesses right into your brain.

Re: How would my life change after a global nuclear war?Quote

If Russia and the USA decided to duke it out using nukes, then no place on earth is safe.

The Cold War reached the point very early on when there was enough nuclear bombs poised to be launched that would, when used, unleash not only the nuclear devastation at the target points, but would put up so much radioactive dust that would float around in the sky for 2 years so thick that all plant life would die from lack of sunlight with in a month, and all animal life within 6 months - that is besides the radioactive fallout.

You must understand that mankind's greatest threat of instant annihilation is nuclear war. No one would survive - no thing would survive the radiation which would travel around the globe and settle to the deepest part of the ocean bathing the surface of earth in radiation for thousands of years.

The lucky ones are those who are at the target sites during the 6 hour war (its most likely even less time now). They would instantly vaporize - being dead and turned to dust well before their nerves could even start to sense the pain of melting flesh - well before the signal reached the brain.

Those who were not so lucky would die a rather slow and horrible death.

Those unfortunate to not have an airtight, hepa air filtered shelter from the fall out would slowly die from radiation poisoning.

Some of the symptoms of radiation sickness include nausea, vomiting, loss of hair (all over the body), fatigue, general feeling of malaise. Unseen damage includes white blood cell destruction. This leaves the exposed at greater risk of infection.

With higher exposures symptoms could include bleeding from the mouth, under the skin, and in the kidneys.

The more sever exposure will kill the bone marrow, the place where new blood cells are produced. Survival requires marrow transplant.

The mucous membranes of the intestines undergo sever damage resulting in diarrhea, internal bleeding.

With the severest forms of exposure only palliative care (management of pain) is offered as there is no cure.

This is followed by delirium, coma and death.

Mind this will be a slow process for most of the survivors out there in the darkness, and the cold while ash that once used to be cities, cars, buildings... people falls like a gray snow silent yet so deadly. The process could take as little time as a few days (for those closer to the blast sites) to a month - for those truly unfortunate who lived way far away and on top of stumbling around in the dark are finding all the trees, grass, flowers, weeds are dead and even critters like rats, cockroaches are stiff and cold stone dead.

For the foolish who dare to think they can wait out the long nuclear night and the far more longer nuclear winter in a shelter - they will eventually be done in by their 'fortunes' to have a bomb shelter and supplies - eventually the water runs out, the air filter gets clogged, the food runs out, the batteries go dead - eventually they are faced with tree choices.

1. Go out into the cold, cold dead world that screams silently with radiation.

2. Stay in side and die of starvation, dehydration or suffocate.

3. Kill them self.

Me too - the 'terrsts' threat doesn't work any more so the next one up on the fear scale is "nukular" as shrub can't say....

Nice post Daniel

The war threat is to divert your eyes from the financial coup by the satanic/luciferian rothschilds and their lackies over the entire globe.....only it's finally been rumbled by a critical mass of humanity. Goodness MUST prevail.

Re: How would my life change after a global nuclear war?Quote

If this global nuclear war happens then it's likely that you will suffer the consequences, unless you live somewhere remote on the southern hemisphere.

You can at least count on the following:

- no more electricity
- no more fuel/gas
- no more sunlight, a nuclear global event would definately block the sun for decades and would bring up a nuclear winter for a whole generation. This also means that most species may die and plants/trees that need sunlight will die as well.
- means no more access to food too, unless it is produced manually within walking distance; empty supermarkets, no more supplies, there will be no transport possible
- riots for food
- militias terrorizing your country
- fight for clean water
- most likely you will die from the effects of fall out within 3 months; even though when no bombs are dropped within 100 km or so it is still likely that the fall out will blow all the way over you too; especially when there are more explosions om several locations and continents!

Want to prevent this from happening? There are two things you can do today to stop it:
1. call for impeachment of the warcriminals Bush and Cheney and march up to Washington DC to have them arrested immediately!
2. prepare yourself for your own survival: [link to notwithmeyouwont.wordpress.com]

Make sure your shelter is airtight and at least 3 feet of thick strong coverage on all walls and ceilings,
make sure you have lots of water stored within that base, safe from fall out,
make sure you have food stored there as well,
as well as plenty of wood to keep you warm,
and ofcourse don;t forget the Iodium-Kalium tablets to prevent radiationabsorption in your body.

Feeling better now???
